NGpatriot:You still believe that Lagos is yours? Lol, I bet before you will wake up to reality, it will be too late. All the strategic assets in Lagos are firmly in the hands of the gambaris. Now they're fast growing their numbers all over the city, including those from Niger. Dey there make pant dey wear you, na 4 Eko the next serious gbese go happen and you guys don't stand a chance with what I'm seeing already ![]() You think Dangote and his brothers are stvpid? Illorin is gone and next on their target is Lagos ![]() |
Bkayyy:The kind of narratives you hear some Nigerians, even supposedly educated ones making, can assault anyone's sensibility. Records have proven that the present day core Igbo areas have always been relatively densely populated, even during prehistoric times. Then how can a place like Ikwerre land that is just a few killometers away from Ngor Okpala and other aboriginal Igbo communities remain empty, even when surrounding areas were already occupied, and waiting for some for some Bini speaking tribes to arrive and occupy Only for the same tribe to completely lose all vestiges of the same Bini language, culture and tradition to those neighboring Igbos who never knew that an empty expanse of land was existing in their backyard Again, does it mean that only the Igbo speaking areas of Rivers State such as Etche, Ikwerre, Ogba etc. that all lost their Bini language, culture and tradition while all those in Abia and Imo states retained theirs? How ridiculous!! If Igboland that never engaged in territorial expansion except in isolated cases like the Bende areas of Abia state, could not impose their language, culture and tradition on the other minorities like the Ibibio, Efiks and Anangs then how were they able to achieve that with those in Rivers State? If changing people's culture, language and traditions were that easy, then why did the Bini in Edo state able to retain theirs despite all the Yoruba incursions in their areas while the phantom ones that migrated to Rivers State all lost theirs to Igbos. |
Lol, this guy is so funny. Anyone can pay a random almajiri to record a song in Hausa na. How is this rubbish news? |
OfoIgbo:What caused it is mainly the civil war. It disrupted us individually and collectively, and in the succeeding years, we were struggling to re-establish ourselves and we paid little attention to the damaging propaganda of the revisionists until recently. We will always counter all those lies and propaganda with superior arguments. |
Bkayyy:I think it's high time you quit arguing with him, his arguments are all driven by emotions instead of logic/common sense. Firstly, we are talking about prehistoric times, a Savage era when primitive dwellers did not trust each other. There is no way a non Igbo group or tribe that spoke a totally different language that is not in anyway mutually intelligible with that of the Igbos who were Aborigines to the areas, could successfully cross the River Niger and pass through many Igbo communities on the way, before getting to the present day Bende areas and even displace the Ibibios too. For such an expedition to happen successfully, you would have large numbers or army that would be conquering those you meet on your route otherwise the Aborigines would take you captives as slaves. If the Idu were to be situated on that axis, it could have been a little plausible, but for a small number of non Igbo migrants to move across the entire breath of Igboland before establishing a settlement is a fallacy. |
OfoIgbo:I have been meticulously reading the posts here, beginning from the very first post. However, at this point, I must give you a thumbs up for proving beyond reasonable doubt that the Eze Nri was the powerful Oghene/Lord in the East whose influence was encompassing. Secondly, the Atigba guy is more emotional than factual. You can't expect migration to occur from areas of sparse population to areas of dense population except there was a massacre or epidemic of sorts that wiped out the original Aborigines. Since there was non recorded at that point in history, then it is safe to conclude that those people that came from Idu were originally Igbos who were returning to their ancestral homes. This is the only explanation why they would be reintigrated with ease. Anyone arguing against these is simply arguing against common sense!! |
NGpatriot:I'm only trying to give you guys a little heads-up about afonja's pathetic relationship with the gambaris. To tell you that same perception they've about you guys since independence hasn't changed one bit, consider how they always talk about Illorin belonging to them, or how the 20 mile radius to the Lagos port must remain the right of the gambaris forever. Recently, one of them even reprimanded Afenifere that they would be the first to run away when sh!t hits the fan They even relate with the waste like it's a conquered territory and afonjas are too timid to even question the pathetic status quo. SE is never poorer than SW, that's lies from the pit of hell. Anyone who has been to both regions can easily testify that. SW poverty is almost at the same level with North and the NBS fake statistics can't change it. Don't worry, you will be alive to see ships berthing in Onitsha. |
RichBoy247:Lol, this otondo is still asking JAMB question. It pained the midget to the bone marrow!! It will surely affect in many ways, far more than you will imagine. Just watch and see, from now going forward, he will not only be seen as public enemy no. 1 but will be closely watched even by the international community. |
The midget of Kaduna is in severe pains ![]() I love how the terrorist is being humiliated. The impact of this goes beyond the shame or embarrassment it will cause him, but it will be the Genesis of his disastrous fall. Great job NBA!!! |
Okwyjesus:My sentiments exactly! The impact of this withdrawal goes beyond the direct shame or embarrassment it will cause him, rather he would now be seen as a persona non grata, or public enemy. Even the international community will get the message. In other words, he finished going forward. |
Kudos to the initiator! Great job NBA!! This is a silver linen in an otherwise dark cloud. The downfall of Hell Elfire has just started. No other corporate organization or association will want to have anything to do with him. This will also send a powerful message to everyone including foreign countries that this man is a terrorist. I see him ending up at the ICJ. |
LukasPodolski:Jon snow, Innoson is the only car manufacturer in Nigeria!! Innoson batteries comes from Ibeto, another indigenous manufacturer based in Nnewi. Other components too are gotten from other producers in Nnewi. Plastic components of his vehicles are manufactured in his factory in Enugu. It is only his engines that he gets from abroad (and this is standard practice in the automobile industry because some of them do get engines from elsewhere). Innoson has a base in an auto parts manufacturing city, Nnewi. Now, ask yourself where Elizade's JAC factory is located in Nigeria? Or even this Nord? Any I'd!ot can couple CKD parts and display in a posh showroom but it doesn't make you a car manufacturer. Lol, about meeting Innoson vehicles. Pls come to the East, Owerri precisely and stand by the roadside, and see if you won't see different types of Innoson vehicles owned by both private, commercial and government. |
horsepower102:Nwanne, you can create a thread with it, you have my endorsement already. If I start writing about these waste people, it will make a bestseller because I have enough hard facts about them. The funny thing is that they've been caged without knowing it. Go to Tin Can or Apapa ports and check those that control everything. Check other crucial federal government establishments too. Even down to the streets, abo.kis have taken over completely and the wave of influx is yet to spike! They don't even feel safe right in their region!! Right from beginning till today, and tomorrow, it is the Igbos and lately the Ijaws that the gambaris are afraid of. But when it comes to the waste people, the gambaris don't even have the slightest regard for them. These guys have continued to suffer humiliation in their hands, beginning from 1966 when their leader awo was thrown into prison by the gambaris. After the coup and counter coup, the next in rank was Ogundipe. Ojukwu insisted that northerners must allow Ogundipe to take over, but while he was still dragging with the gambaris over it, the coward ran away from Nigeria out of fright How Awo was forced to take sniper is still an open secret. Oladipo Diya had to kneel and beg a junior gambari officer for them to spare his life! MKO won an election but was thrown into prison and he died there along with his wife, and in-between, they suffered humiliations that are better left unsaid Even Ojukwu that fought a war against the establishment was never humiliated, instead he was treated with respect when he returned to Nigeria. The frog eyed bullion van and Chicago drug baron is only decieving himself because the gambaris never trusts any of them from that side who is desperate. His own humiliation is coming and it will be so shameful. Since 1967, they've been trying to force themselves on the North so cheaply while doing a snitch job on the SE and SS. But unfortunately for them, they always end up being used and dumped. |
blowjohn:Lol, car production is not just about renting a posh looking showroom or rebranding an already built car. Innoson can't be compared with this. This guy is just assembling and rebranding. Its potentials can't be compared to Innoson in any way. Come back in 5 or 10 years time and check records. |
LukasPodolski:The kind of ignorance I see some of you displaying makes me shiver. FYI, PAN is just an assembly plant built by Peugeot of France. They don't manufacture a pin at that Kaduna warehouse, rather they import all the parts in CKD and couple them together there. WTF is Elizade's JAC? Elizade is a car seller who went into partnership with JAC, a Chinese brand so they can market their products! LMAO, these are what you want to compare with Innoson that manufactures almost every components in its Nnewi and Enugu factories or concessions to other manufacturers in Nnewi such as Ibeto?! Funny people!! |
Gabkosh:What coastline are you talking about? If just having a coastline can make a country rich and prosperous, then Somalia won't be the world's poorest country. I told you that what influences shipping companies to use a port is how viable the route is and if it is accessible, two crucial criteria Onitsha already meets. I gave you an example with a River port in Germany that attracts more vessels than many seaports yet you're still asking me to show you a coastline. Are you alright?? |
Gabkosh:Chai, see painment ![]() Other Nigerians already know the type of people that inhabit the waste side. South East will never trust the waste. South South will never trust the waste. Even North is only using the waste and will not hesitate to throw them under the bus at the right time. Children of fallen demons!! |

My dear, it is obvious that you're playing in a turf that is way above your league. I'm sorry, you need more education and enlightenment before I can engage you. So, for now, I will simply ignore you. Next person please! |
Gotze1:There are lots of River ports like Onitsha being used by shipping companies. What determines the viability of any port is the trade that occurs within the area. Somalia has a longer coastline than many countries in Africa yet how many ships goes there? Who are those bringing ships to Nigeria and which people owns most of the containers? Below is an example of a River port that is busier than many seaports.
|
Gotze1:This one is still a kid living with his parents. My duty is to keep enlightening ignorant ones like and your peers, and I'm doing a great job at that. Do you have anything sensible to say? Otherwise, you can go play in the sand with your mates. |
Gotze1:This is another unintelligent gibberish you guys always utter. What do you mean by having the largest coastline in Africa? So Ondo state is now the longest coastline in Africa? Even from Ondo to Lagos is no where among the longest coastline in Africa talk more of the state. We keep seeing all manner of rubbish on nairaland. Do you have longer coastline than Somalia, Africa's worst country? Pick a godamn map and read! Half baked education is as bad as illiteracy |
GTkester:I have studied Nigerians and have understood the world view of the disparate ethnic groups, and I can tell you that these guys from the waste are by far the most terrible and most treacherous cowards. The Hausa/Fulanis will tell you to your face that they don't like your guts and won't hide it. The Igbos will be emphatic to go for what they believe in and fight for it with honour no matter the odds. But when it comes to the waste cowards, it's a different thing altogether. They will sing your praises in your presence but go behind you to call you names. They do this individually and collectively. They are so afraid that they will never muster the courage to fight for what they believe in. They grovel and do all manner of shameful things for the Hausa/fulani elite to like them and hate others in the South, and in return, they don't mind whatever crumbs they're given provided they fair better than SE and SS. A classic example is 2015 elections. While the rest of the South were fighting for GEJ, these guys went behind and teamed with the North in a subservient role. When Buhari emerged and made the infamous 5% statement, these guys celebrated it because they felt that finally, the North has accepted them and made the SE and SS outcast. When it was time for appointments, Buhari gave almost everything to the North and very little to the waste, but instead of them to challenge it, they decided that since they fared better than SE and SS, then there is no need to criticize it. They feel that the North is on the same page with them but unfortunately for them, the North is far smarter than them. They erroneously believe that the Buhari government likes them and is doing things for them. However, they fail to look at things critically. Almost everything Buhari is doing in that side is basically in Lagos as well as projects that will facilitate movement of people and goods between the North and Lagos. Even the ports in Lagos are 100% controlled by the North and they'll have to seek for their endorsement before they can do anything. They think they're smart but they're quite dull in reality. Thank God for the emergence of social media. We have more educated, traveled, exposed and larger middle class to shoot down all their useless propaganda. We are only starting yet they're already becoming frustrated. |
Obasanjo even called Lagos a jungle ![]()
|
NGpatriot:Crap! Lagos is far dirtier and far more chaotic than Onitsha. Living in Lagos alone will reduce anyone's life span by 10 years. Does Lagos have any serene section where people can live quietly? No! But our elite will have the opportunity to live in serene areas of Onitsha or even Awka, Asaba and Enugu and still operate their businesses with convenience in Onitsha. |
Haha, oga Coro is still doing visiting them one by one ![]() |
NGpatriot:This one is yet to get the memo. Do you have any tangible industry in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state? The answer is no! What you have are two industrial estates built in the slums of Ota and Agbara, at the boundary with Lagos. Now, let me burst your bubble. All those industries and factories can easily be dismantled and taken away while leaving just the empty warehouses behind. Ota and Agbara can still lose those industries someday and same applies to Lagos. |
loopman:Lol, no sane person will want to remain in a chaotic city where they will end up spending more time in traffic than they would at home. I subleted my Lagos apartment in 2013 and returned to Owerri (best decision of my life). Don't worry, let Onitsha become fully functional and see if Igbos won't leave Lagos en mass. I don't think any reasonable Igbo man would prefer Lagos over Onitsha once we can export and import through Onitsha and also travel abroad through Enugu. You know how dry Lagos can be during Christmas when many of our people travel home to the East, that is how that place will become perpetually. However, if you think we will leave behind our properties, then you are decieving yourself because we will still operate skeletally from there. |
NGpatriot:This one is busy showing a chart he couldn't interpret. What is in this chart you keep spamming everywhere with, is there anything outstanding here? You are feeding off Lagos yet still struggling to stay afloat. Lagos and the industries built in Ota and Agbara to serve it are responsible for that SW figure. Remove Ogun state and see where you will be. The sad thing you guys don't even understand is that Lagos and its catchment areas are being exploited by the Chinese, Indians, Igbos and Lebanese and these people all send their profits home. Or what do you think is the reason why afonjaland is in tatters? If the profits is being retained in your region, everywhere won't be in such a mess. |
loopman:You and who have passed what stage? And who is even arguing with you? I'm educating you for free and you're here acting stubborn in your ignorance. Itiboribo ![]() |
loopman:You're actually the one sounding obtuse and obstinate, even when presented with hard facts. FYI, the River Niger north of Onitsha is not navigable all year round. Even at Lokoja confluence in Kogi state, the River Niger often dries up during the harmattan season. You will be seeing dry land all over the River Niger in these areas, talk more of Baro that is farther inland. There is also the problem of rapids and falls in this areas. However, from Onitsha down to the Atlantic ocean, the River Niger becomes deeper and never dries up, thus making it suitable for all year round navigation. Even if the bigger ships happen to find it difficult to access Onitsha port, there are smaller ocean going vessels that will easily berth at Onitsha. It is the viability of the route that will determine. |
ANSMEDIA:This is the way to go! Lagos can't breathe at the moment because of the madness where 200 million people have to depend on it. The whole stretch of Apapa/Oshodi expressway is blocked. Ships now take months just to offload and leave the Lagos ports. Nigeria continues to lose millions of dollars in revenue to Cotonue. Traffic congestion in Lagos makes the city of Lagos a nightmare, with man hours and productivity being wasted everyday in traffic jams. Moving cargoes in barges to Onitsha in the meantime and also making the port fully functional for ships to berth in the medium to long term, is something that must be done in the interest of all. |

Only for the same tribe to completely lose all vestiges of the same Bini language, culture and tradition to those neighboring Igbos who never knew that an empty expanse of land was existing in their backyard
