He cautioned the disciple to put the sword back in it's shealth, for all who live by the sword must die by the sword (Matthew 26:51-52).
It is always better to read in context and not just pick up verses in isolation.

If you read further, you will see why he cautioned his disciples, it wasn't because what Peter did was wrong but because the Scripture needed to be fulfilled hence, self defence wasn't needed in that moment.

"Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

Turkish people reasoned like you and today, Turkey has turned from a christisn country to a Muslim country and you want Nigeria to be like turkey......That devil is a bastard.

Trump is not dumb, he says what many of you have in mind but are too afraid to voice it out. Dumb men don't speak! What do you call African countries..... Paradise?
