JeromeBlack: I swear.....the thing was paining me. I watch a lot of UFC and Boxing- the fastest and most skillful punchers are not thick guys. Just look at Mayweather or McGregor or Isreal Adesanya.
But somehow, Micheal Jai white was matching speed with Iko Uwais......nonsense
You must understand Michael Jia White is not just an actor, you cant compare him to Conor or Adesanya. Jai White is a 5th degree black belt in Goju Ryu, he has a black belt in multiple traditional martial arts.
Technique beats speed any day, because with technique, everything seems effortless. Remember even with Connor's speed, he could not tag Khabib.
mekaprime: Yeah, interstellar is a bootstrap paradox( just learned that now). Tnx for the enlightenment, will the terminator movies preferably 1& 2 also be referred to as the bootstrap paradox?? because in the movie, The original Terminator was sent back in time by Skynet to kill Sarah Conner; that Terminator is later found by Cyberdine, reverse-engineered, and used as the basis for Skynet. Thus, the technological information needed to build Skynet came from Skynet.
Come to think of the fact that "someone sent a terminator back in time to wait for the "first" terminator became an epic twist.
Time loop or time travel can be complex if the writers are not willing to accept the changes one effect can cause.
t00dugged: No, I dont ,in case you didnt get the picture let me make it clear ,the side chick is the "lizard" and wife is the "house" and person who brought the ant infested fire wood is the husband and the ant infested wood is 'his loose penis the has refused to keep in one place". I hope its now clear?
Crystal. and from this picture the side is worthless. You are now contradicting your first post.
t00dugged: I still insist the one who should be blamed is the man,he prolly has made his wife low before the side chick giving her the audacity to act that way. You have no idea how bad men are willing to paint their wives just for puccy.
The man is the one who owe his wife faithful, he is the one that brought the ant infested wood to his matrimonial home that attracted lizards.
OK, if a man offers you a ant infested wood would you collect? If I am full of shiit and then I offer you shiit will you collect or accept me? Are you seeing where am going with this?
KoiceReloaded: No company is infallible. Even Disney can suddenly go bankrupt tomorrow and merge with a more stable financial titan in order to stay relevant.
As for the debt, it's nothing to a financial powerhouse like Netflix. The billions they owe is known as a serviceable debt, and apparently, serviceable debts are the norm with huge companies. As long as you make more than you spend, you should be fine. It's only a problem when you're at a deficit and can no longer make payments.
It's only a matter of time I tell you. Now we here Apple wants to also start their streaming service, if Netflix gets unlucky Apple and Amazon find a smarter way of distributing content then they will go down faster cos as now they can't compete with YouTube. But I see Netflix going down unless there is a drastic change.
For what happened behind scene on The Exorcist you can skip to this time stamp 17:40 But you can watch the whole clip if you want to
This clip did not say that in The Omen series the director of the movie had an accident, he survived but his girlfriend next to he had head cut off exactly like in one of the scenes in the movie. The accident happened because the car crashed into a signpost, can you guess what number was on the signpost?
And you see one of the movie in this clip said that the cinema company had to bring priests during the premiere in the cinema to bless the audience that watch the movie before leaving, like WTF!!
- Disney owns Marvel, thus Netflix pays money to disney to produce Marvel shows.
- Disney started their own streaming service, and since disney is streaming Marvel tv shows tied to the popular films...
- Netflix rightfully realized that by continuing to produce Marvel tv shows. they'd be a free advertising medium for a rival service.
- Netflix cancel Marvel shows
Wait how much do you think Netflix is really making. Don't think for one second that Netflix cannot be sold (in this case Disney is suppose to be the one, whether this will happen or not - time will tell), if a whole Metro Goldwyn Meyer can go bankrupt years ago what makes you think Netflix cannot be sold. 10 billion in debt does not speak well for such company.
mekaprime: I don't do horror movies, but I mistakenly saw Season of the Witch & IMO, the movie was barely horror. Though it started of well but ultimately descended to utter crap(no offence).
For Constantine, that's a very good movie, I've had it on my laptop for a long time now, but haven't seen it because of fear.
Exorcist, not planning to see this one, not even in my next life. All this people cannot come & kill me with fear.
OK, just that you requested for demon possession movies na.
people died in the first The Exorcist movies, the set was so cursed that the directors of the movie had to use A REAL PRIEST TO CARRY OUT THE SCENE OF EXORCISM (though they took care to hide his face from the camera).

iamJ: we are talking abt disney here, they can afford it
HBO has been sold self to AT&T so that 1 will be hard but netflix is buyable, they havent made profits in years, with disney at the helm they will turn their books around, apple was rumored to be interested in buying netflix wonder what happened
since yahoo made that mistake of not buying google, companies dont play around again, once they see potential they will buy u
I think it's Disney that is rumored to want to buy Netflix
mekaprime: In as much as I hold Ben Affleck shoulder high as regards making & directing good movies, he's not my best Batman/Bruce Wayne cast, for me, its Christian Bale. Let's not prolong matters here because our argument/discussions changes nothing, let just agree to disagree & watch to see how events unfold for Scott Adkins career.
Oh I forgot, have you watched The Chinese Salesman (I think that's the name) the was Mike Tyson and Steven Segal in that movie, Damn..
For the first time before my very eyes STEVEN SEGAL COLLECTED A HUMILIATING ASS WHOOPING from Mike Tyson.
The movie is wacky but that fight scene between Mike Tyson and Segal was priceless.
mekaprime: Yes Batman & Daredevil are comic characters, but it isn't all about stunt for both characters. Scott Adkins might be good in stunt, (your opinion though), The problem here is that Scott Adkins is less an actor & more of a stunts coordinator or performer, just like my boss koicereloaded said, & I quote "He would work better as a stunt double (because he tends to fight like Batman), rather than the main act".
Playing Batman, yes but becoming Bruce Wayne, very very terrible idea. To take up Waynes' character, one has to take certain factors other than martial arts into consideration, like that ability to display a traumatic, crestfallen & brooding, personality, thus, in my opinion cannot be portrayed by Adkins. Dude only does well in stunt roles, the way he shared the role of Deadpool in X-Men:Origins with Ryan Reynolds. The sad truth is that even a combined team of the very best directors, can't help Adkins acting career, because as regards talent, you can't develop what you don't have, & since you don't have it, it can never come of as natural rather it becomes forced. If I were him, I would simply pay more attention to developing my Martial arts skills.
Undisputed 2, which catapulted him to fame, did so because he played the antagonist, for which he was relatively well-suited for, He was brutal, egotistical, and seemingly incapable of empathy. And also, the movie was largely watched either by action movie lovers or bored people on Friday Nights.(Disregard the later, it was meant to be a joke). As for Steven Segeal abeg no just reason that guy matter for here. Coupled with the fact that he has never been beaten in any of his movies I've seen, his martial art skills is godlike(all pun intended). Dude sits at a spot & can take up to 15-20 people in a single combat, defeating & most times killing all of them while still seated. Even as a minor character, I don't think he'll fare any better, for me, let him just quit acting.
Well I won't write anyone off in the movie industry, in Arnold Schwarzenegger's earlier movies he was something like Scott Adkins, very stiff and not fluid, worse he had a very thick accent. But now he is one of the all time greats in his own way.
Like I said, it all depends on who Scott is working with. Acting is something you learn and adjust to as the case maybe, Harrison Ford was working in movie set like a carpenter before he went for his first movie, he was not born an actor.
There is nothing too difficult in playing Bruce Wayne, Batman is a Dark, Souless character, that wears a mask. The likes of Jason Statham are now having more matured movie project just because of who he choose to work with. And in my opinion he is in the same class with Scott when it comes to acting.
But as for Batman Ben Affleck has no business being there, I would prefer a Scott Adkins. Batman is always wearing a mask in most part of the movie so this should be an easy project for Scott. Batman is suppose to be an iconic character, but that changed when DCEU brought in Ben Affleck to play Batman. So I will help promote their low standards by giving Scott Adkins a chance.
mekaprime: Daredevil you mean right. At the bolded, is that meant to be a sarcastic statement?? What happened to Ben Affleck & Christian Bale that once played both roles??. One thing I know for sure is that neither Marvel or DC will ever make that mistake of casting that dude in any of their movies. OMG, like literally casting him for a lead role, in any of their movies, that movie is definitely doomed to flop.
And as for Jai White, the sad truth is that he's a horrible actor. Have you seen SPAWN, that has to be the worst superhero movie I have ever seen, all thanks to Jai White.
No I don't agree with you, I believe if Scott works with a good director (a Steven Spielberg or someone of that caliber) he will be made to polish his act, Yes Scott may not be a natural but he has potential, the reason why I mention Dare Devil and Batman is because these are comic characters that are EXTREMELY good martial artist. Scott will chew up Christian Bale and Ben Affleck when it comes to performing martial art stunts. Something you want to see in Dare Devil or Batman. It's not only about enhanced suits and grappling hooks it should also be about executing martial arts skills "effortlessly".
As for Jai white, I thought Spawn was a great movie as of the 90s. But you should watch "TYSON" the life of Mike Tyson, you will be blown away, to even think this was a very young Jai White that put up such a performance shows he is top actor. Don't forget Universal Soldiers 2.
The problem I think with these kind of actors is the same kind of problem Steven Segal has, and thats being the lead character.
In terms of acting, if Ronda Rousey that's is a professional MMA fighter can put such a beautiful performance in Fast and Furious 8, I don't see how Scott and Jai can't live up to expectation.
mekaprime: At the bolded, a movie that stared Scott Adkins & Michael Jai White together, I'll rather pass.
Undisputed 2 has been their only successful project together (if not the best of the Undisputed Triology)
I still don't understand why they did not take Scott Adkins to play Batman or Dear Devil.
Same with Jai White, but I read in one of the comments from one his YouTube videos that Jai refused to give the top directors a piece of his ass that's why he has not be handed a major project again. But looking at what Terry Crews said recently that he was sexually harassed by his boss, then maybe there is some truth to this, who knows.
MissRaine69: Nothing to do with kegel in any way shape or form. It’s involuntary.
I know, am just saying it's funny while some women are looking for some form of contraction down there, nature has blessed/cursed some women with excess of it.
MissRaine69: To put loosely it’s a strict contraction of the vagina’s muscles that is so strong, the vagina essentially closes itself. Panicking and struggling makes it worse. As weird as it might sound relaxing actually resolves things. Benzodiazepines do help a lot as muscle relaxants how or why it happens is up for debate. It’s a form of vaginismus which is a lot more common captives is not a frequent occurance. The village people are innocent as it happens to people who are married to each other as well.
And we have alot women doing kegel exercises to help contract the vagina. This life eh.
KoiceReloaded: Methinks you should redirect that question to yourself cuz you reason like someone that have lived all their life inside a cave. Like a classic caveman, you don't know a damn thing. Lemme educate you.
Weapon-based martial arts have been a part of Japanese culture for a very long time. The samurai class ruled Japan ancient japan, and in that period, warred with each other incessantly. Thus, weapon and tactics evolved and change overtime, and helped to ushered in wide array of martial arts with differing philosophies like Aikido, Kenjutsu (sword fighting), Sojutsu (spear fighting), Bojutsu (staff), Kyujutsu (bow and arrow), Jiujutsu (grappling and wrestling), judo, and karate.
The primary samurai battlefield weapons were bows, spears, Katana (sword), and wakizashi (sword like dagger for close combat), which required every samurai to be well versed in at least 3 forms of weapon-based martial arts, namely: Kyujutsu, Sojutsu, and kenjutsu.
Lolz. I don't even know what to write here. I mean, I'm speechless. How can someone who doesn't even know what "fencing" is about have the gumption, the audacity to talk about swords?! Dude, are for real? 'Course not, you live in a cave.
As for Kendo, it is not sword fight, bro, it's a bamboo fight. It's sort of like aikido in the sense that it can only be used recreationally. It's the censored version of it's ancestor, the kenjutsu.
Oh lawd, I'm dead. Hahahaha. I posted a solid link, and this guy is referring me to a video game. Since when do video games become a competent and intelligent source of information?? Chisos!
This is the final nail in the coffin, man. This goes to prove that you haven't got a clue. Cuz if you do, you would know that the Japanese were an isolated culture for most of their history. When the Romans and the Mongols were conquering civilizations, the Japanese were completely uncathed in their tiny island. When the Portuguese came calling in the 14th century, they (the portuguese) were astonished to find an advanced culture, more advanced and civilized than their own. I mean, the portuguese ate with their bare hands, whilst their host (the japs) ate with chop sticks. They also noted that the Japanese samurais were welding a long slightly curved swords (katana), more aesthetically pleasing than their thin bladed versions. So, suffice it to say, The Japs may not have invented european swords, but they did invent their katanas and wakizashis, while being completely independent of outside influences.
What is there to compare?? One uses martial arts, the other doesn't.
Puh-leeze, list five (5) tv action packed tv shows that have few plot holes, and are "intellectual", only five. I'd like to see them.
I dunno what you meant by standard, but need I remind you that the show is critically acclaimed, with loads of rave reviews from fans and professional critics alike? You know that, right? Guess not, you live in cave after all.
I referred you to video games cos it will help simply something that is complex for you to understand.
You have no business arguing here if you can say Aikido is for recreation, it shows how slow and ignorant you are. The samurai armor looked impregnable - Aikido was designed to find its weakness, which turned out to be joint manipulations. You know nothing, if you have been caught in wristlock before you won't type up this thrash you have here. And I don't expect you to be smart enough to realize you are dumb.
The best fight in comic book movies has to go to The Dark Knight Rises.
The Bane Vs Batman fight in the sewers of Gotham was amazing.
The fight was realistic. There was real pain. Oh and Bane's monologue.
Bane was such a villain. The guy was lecturing batman while beating him. Damn! That is pure psychopathic confidence.
I would like to give MJBOLT and Alexistaiwo such a beating.
I won't put this in my top 10, but people did not see that Bane was a master strategist here, I don't think Bane won Batman because of brute force. He won because he was smart.
His strategy was top notch, He released all the prisoners in Arkham, Batman had to start bringing those prisoners one by one back to captivity.
All that left Batman weak and exhausted after that, then Bane struck. That's why I said earlier brute force alone may not win the day.
I would like to see a fight between 2 characters on equal strength and that are well prepared.
And for the record my best fight scene for the past 5 years remains the Justice League vs Darksied in DC Justice League animated series.
KoiceReloaded: Weapon based martial arts is a thing, bro. It has been around for centuries. In fact, it's a huge part of Japanese culture. Ever heard of Samurai, or Ninjas? Links
Lolz. Bro, action packed shows don't do well with tightly plotted script. Action packed shows use something I dubbed "plot sensationalism". To simplify, it's an act of using the ploy of shock-and-awe for primary plot advancement, thereby neglecting principals like character and plot development. Plot development is the inception of a typical plot line. Deliberately putting it in a backseat just so you can make your show more exciting, will ineluctably leave the primary plot very vulnerable to multiple plot holes. Thus, we have a show that is rich in adrenaline inducing, but lacking in realism. I've seen shows like Banshee, Condor and whatnot. All these shows are very excitable action packed shows, but not what you can call intellectual shows.
Yes, Into The Badlands is a story, but a post-apocalyptic story intended to promote martial art. Heck, AMC promoted the show as "a genre-bending martial arts series" long before the first episode aired. It's a simple story, nothing more. Don't over analyse something that wasn't meant to be deep.
Jeez.
So when sword play come to mind, you sent a link about the Samurais and Ninjas. Ninjas? you for real? Just like this series you are trying to defend, you take on sword play lacks depth.
A kendo duel won't last 1 min, since you know about samurais I take it you understand what Kendo is. Bringing samurais into the conversation shows you don't know the kind of sword play that's used in this series, I did not use "fencing" because i don't know what it's about.
And while you will refer me to a samurai link I will refer you to classic PS one game (Soul Blade) just to let you know that the samurais did not invent the sword, and while you are it compare the Samurai stance and sword stroke to the other characters from Europe.
And who said its the standard for action series to lack intellectual scripts?
You talk about avoiding holes in the plot, your INTO THE BADLANDS is filled up with loose ends.
This maybe your standard (which is very low), but it's not a universal standard. It's all boils down to what the creators of the series wants.
KoiceReloaded: Bro, Into The Badlands is not an intellectual film. It's mixed martial art themed, and like most mixed martial art productions, it's action driven. Tight plots are secondary as they are only there to serve as bridges holding the action scenes together. Don't over think it, just enjoy the high quality fight scenes, and be thankful that you're very fortunate to be a witness to such a glorious eye candy. Cheers.
Mixed martial arts? Are you for real? Or do you mean fencing? Cos most of the fight scenes are mostly sword play.
Hand to hand combat? it feels limited in this series, and so you know, you can still have an action pack series laced with an intellectual script.
Into the Badlands is suppose to be a story, but what use is all the fight if the story line is just bleeped up.
What do all great series have in common? Simple a great story.
If you have been practicing martial arts for more than 5 years, you don't get carried away by forced action.
Viking007: You're right. I also stopped following after season 2. They lost the originality after that season. Same thing happened to The Walking Dead, unnecessarily dragging a storyline always kills the vibe.
Even if you are dragging a story line, you can still achieve the goal provided you have some twist and turns, but nothing here. Too predictable, poor dialogs.
What kills me - A group of Clippers walked into the front door of Quinn's hideout but were blown too pieces by an explosive that was planted at the door.
THEN
an explosive went off JUST ABOVE SUNNY'S HEAD (Inside Quinn's bunker), what happens? Sunny only got knocked out then buried under rubbles.
This was the height of it, still wondering if they wanted to cut cost and not go over the story board again to see how ridiculous this looks.
alexistaiwo: I guess you were listening to the audio output without seeing the visuals.
Life is hard for the blind
Maybe the that season will appeal to people like you that can't handle complex acts, sometimes you leave the viewers to figure things out for them self, that's how you engage the audience.
All of a sudden Quinn is clairvoyant, but can't see that Jade was playing him along to make him send away his wife.
You think I have time for nollywood scripted type of series.
Don't try to bring me DOWN to your mediocre level.
I watched season 1 then 2, just to be sure it was not a mistake. This series is just too damn shallow, the script is meant for those that have amnesia. It's gets to appear fake at some time, and they won't even bother.
hulk616: Avengers Black panther will easily take out Batman. Thor will destroy Wonder woman Hulk will easily take out Superman that cant beat fake Doomsday. Scarlet witch will take out flash Iron Man and vision won't move a muscle to destroy rubbish cyborg. Black widow and Hawkeye can train with Aquaman
I will agree with you that the Avengers will defeat the fake Justice League we see on cinema.
But the real Justice league from DC comic books will give Avengers a run for their money.
Black Panther will Surely lose against the real Batman.
KrisNaira: I suggest sharing all known ways to save money when shopping on Aliexpress, Amazon & Ebay in this thread.
I'll start with best three known to me services that have saved me several hundred bucks.
1. For Aliexpress Pricearchive - https://www.pricearchive.org/ - best Aliexpress price tracker which I know. They have price info for about 80 million products from Aliexpress.
Check the price history for the product and avoid overpaying. You can track your product and/or buy it when the price is minimal. They send price drop email alerts.
I really love this service because thanks to their graphs I always buy at the lowest price. Tip from me. With this service you know the minimum price for the product. So you can write to a seller on Aliexpress and ask him to sell at this price. Sometimes it works! Try yourself.
2. for Amazon Keepa - https://keepa.com/ - Amazon price tracker, a little better than camelcamelcamel.com
