The South of course... we're always PDP..
And when did Atiku joined PDP? did he have a base there before now? Does he think it takes a couple of months to build a strong foundation in the SE and SS?

To even think that both PDP Presidential CANDIDATE and VP candidate were not founding members of PDP just show how shallow the PDP is.

Delivar:
This election has proven that the problem with Nigeria is not mainly caused by bad leaders as people always say, but a massive lack of education as the root cause. Every educated person knows that Buhari lacks the knowledge and health fittness to rule a country. But amazingly he is getting a second term. This can only happen when the masses are not educated. Atiku was winning the polls on social media because those who participated in the polls were the more educated Nigerians. Even though Atiku is not the best choice but he is better than Buhari and had the best chance to remove Buhari than the other candidates.

Lack of education is the biggest issue in this country and this country will never go anywhere as long as it remains like that. If Buhari can be reelected then it means rouges like Tinubu and Ameachi can also win an election in Nigeria as long as the masses are this uneducated. I have lost hope in this country.
You Sir, are the one that is not educated, cos you still think leadership is something that is very petty that you use social media to make conclusions.

If there's one thing I have learnt about this election, one thing I'll never forget in my old age, one thing I'll never forget even if Nigeria comes down to her knees. Is this!
The north knows how to support their own. Either through hook or crook, either through under age voting, mass thumb printing, animals coming to vote or anything you think of, the north are masters of the game.
Bring in your 200 thousand votes and they will bring forth their 2 million votes. Scratch your head and bring in your 1 million votes and the north brings in her 4 million votes. Can you beat that?
Stick to your Inec regulations and disenfranchise your people under the name of card reader, the north don't do such holla balo, they just dump the much wahala card readers somewhere and do their mass thumb printing. After all vote na vote. Isn't it? To progress into the digital age is not by force? Abi them tell you say them hate their current condition?
Whether bandits kills them in large numbers or not is not your business? Whether Boko Haram destroy their lands or not is not your worry? Whether meningitis, cholera or polio ravages them in their region isn't your wahala? So why pokenose into their matter. Why?
The middlebelt too have similar mindset as the core north surprisingly. How on earth Buhari cleared this region leaves much taste in the mouth. At the last count, Buhari is sweeping Kwara, Nassarawa, Niger, Kogi and neck in neck with Atiku in Benue and Plateau. Abuja delivered for Atiku and you could guess that many non-middlebelters made it possible. Are we to believe that the fulani herdsmen and cattle colony crisis was faux? Did the media blow it out of proportion or what? Is Buhari really the hero of these people or what? Well, we wouldn't know for now, only time shall tell.
But all in all the election will go down in history as the most one sided election? Atiku and PDP have no one but themselves to blame. How on earth do you expect to win an election as diverse as ours and lose woefully in your own backyard? What stops Atiku from matching Buhari, wit for wit, rig for rig and illegality for illegality in the north to emerge victorious. This he failed to do and was hoping on the SE/SS to do what exactly. I hope he learns the bitter lesson that you don't engage a man holding a cutlass in a boxing match. Beat him in his own game and when you emerge victorious curtail the illegality by signing the electoral bill into law. That way you'll save Nigeria's democracy from future tyrants. Something Goodluck Jonathan failed to do.
However, I appreciate the SE Igbos for their electioneering. It appears we've learnt some lessons from our one-basket political disposition in 2015.
Igbos and their leadership did well. Much oil to the elbows of Orji Uzor Kalu, Rochas Okorocha, Ken Nnamani, Umahi and others. Whether they rigged or not for APC is not our business. If other Nigerians say they want Buhari who are we to say No! They wanted Buhari in 2015 and we said No! What happened we were vilified and suffered alone. We cannot continue to suffer for another man's failure. If the north central who suffered from fulani herdsmen say they love Buhari, are we to go against their wish? Tufia Kwa!
Kudos to my SS brothers too for doing likewise. We suffered together in 2015 and both the SW, NE, NC, NW enjoyed the spoils of our absence from national government. We were called 5% by a sectarian President bent on denigrating his opponents. Surely, Nigeria died in 2015!
Kudos to our SW brethren, we don't fault you guys anymore. Despite benefiting from Buhari's government You still voted your conscience. You didn't cast your vote on one basket. Ondo, Osun and Oyo are testaments. You guys rock for teaching us your style of survival in Nigerian politics.
You like most of the people on this forum missed the point.
Atiku is not the person to unseat Buhari.
I want to ask you, how popular is Atiku in the South East, I mean how well do the people in this region really know Atiku?
How has/did Atiku touch the interest of the people of SS and SE when he was opportune to do so?

What had been Atiku's track record? Was it flawless compared to Buhari?

How relevant has Atiku been in our political space? As far as I can tell Atiku started reacting to the issues of this country just 4 - 5 months to elections. Hate him or Like him FFK has more relevance in the Nigerian political space for the past 4 years than Atiku.

If you want to unseat Buhari bring someone that is way Better than Buhari (which you guys are capable of, but won't do so because he won't play ball),
than to bring someone that is slightly better or worse than Buhari.

This is what happens when your actions is based on emotions rather than common sense.

I'm saying the foundation for today's woes were laid during those 16 years. Some Nigerians think when money is looted, it won't affect the economy. Some also believe when government fails to invest in infrastructure, it won't affect the future generations; funny! The cumulative wrong and selfish decisions of those 16 years is what we are reaping. Remember Okonjo Iweala was already burrowing to pay salaries in 2014huh
To get out of it, economists say we have to invest heavily in infrastructure, promote agriculture and safeguard our reserves which is what Baba is doing. Replacing him with a looting machine will only draw us back.
The most annoying thing is that the people that brought this country to its knees are the ones calling Buhari all sort of names and blaming him for the woes of our economy.

Sometimes I feel Buhari regrets winning that 2015 election. Cos he should have allowed PDP dig us out from the mess they created. Now he is the one taking all the blame.

It's sad that the majority do not understand how the "hardship" started.

APC are learners when it comes to this compared to PDP, that's why APC will loose.

The military are trained to neutralise threats with the lowest margin of error, that is their job.

The innocent lives are already at risk if the thugs and ballot box snatchers are present. What you should be worried about are the thugs and ballot box snatchers.

The are alot of countries that are very transparent and democratic whose foundation was built on extra judicial killings, summary executions, and death sentences.

This evil act of stealing the people's mandate must stop at some point, and I can assure you, your constitution, your laws will never achieve that.

I respect the rule of law, but if but if "dealing ruthlessly" with ballot box snatchers is the necessary evil. Then am for it.

Remember dealing ruthlessly does not equate to shot on site. The army are trained personnel that have different approaches in a civilian gathering.

Does the constitution and our electoral act prescribed death penalty for ballot box snatches, and what is the role of military in our electoral process?

This is democracy guided by the rule of law. It's not a military administration.

So, let's be circumspect not to supporting dictatorship in a democratic dispensation. The rules of law should be upheld by genuine and a responsible leader.
Again,

You lost sight of the ball, my question was/is when did "deal ruthlessly" = "Death penalty"?

So if you threatened your son that if he steals meat you will deal with him ruthlessly does that mean you will murder the child if you catch him stealing meat?

Am surprised that well educated advance Nigerians are just thinking like a one eyed football fan.

This is interesting :

You were able to identify the fact that he said "trying to obstruct due process" NOT "ballot box snatching"

So I want to ask you, how come you could identify those contexts but fail to recognize "deal ruthlessly" is not the same thing as "shoot on sight" or summary execution?

Why is it that our brains only tick by half when it comes to matters of this country?

Am yet to see anywhere in the dailies where Buhari said shoot on sight, but trust we Nigerians, we blow things out of proportion.

MissRaine69:
How well do I know vegans?
Three in my immediate family including a grandmother
Difficiencies arise when you have instances like frutarians or those that will only eat a raw based diet. As for vegans who have a very healthy balanced diet their quality of life is not lessened just because they do not eat animal proteins. The Rastafarian diet is a vegan diet, Hokkien, Hakka, and Buddhism are vegans same for some sectors of Judaism, Hindus ( not all) and those who follow the followers of Jain religion are vegan. If communities have been doing it for centuries surely the fact that they still exists and they have managed to propriate and live to be an old age is evidence enough. Portraying them like sickly weaklings is a bit of a stereotype. Like I said there has to be balance some vegans do not follow a balanced diet for anyone who’s diet is not balanced will have issues with their health including those who eat meat. Very few Nigerians actually eat fruit and drinking water is a battle. Some have urine the colour of tea with no milk.
A typical Nigerian diet is far from healthy, it’s high in sodium and heavy on carbohydrates so balance is essential.

I appreciate your preference but I disagree with your views which border on stereotypes and an example of one friend. That is just an anomaly.
So would you marry or date a vegan?
RomanceRe: Vegan: Would You Marry Or Date Someone by pryme(m): 7:35am On Feb 19, 2019

Protein from none animal based food sources?
I have no idea what your friend was doing but it does not sound like they had a balanced diet.
A lot of Africans are vegan for long periods at a time albeit it being poverty driven.
Blood work for?
Being anemic?
There are humans that eat meat that are still poorly and sickly and anemic.
It boils down to balance ..eating a balanced diet even if it does not contain animal protein.
OK,
No supplements here, just plant based diets? If yes then there is problem.. 90% of vegans have deficiency of some vital vitamins, they won't know it yet. That why I mentioned blood work.

At some point something will have to give that's why I said asked what will happen in their later years (you misunderstood me here - you said menopause), take carbs for example, it's good for you for energy. But when you get older you will need to cut down your carbs intake because it can accelerate the aging process. This is just an example, vegans can do well on their earlier stages in life, but what happens as we get older and the body stops producing some molecules? Will there be able to keep up with folks that get their proteins from animal source, (this is what I was worried about NOT menopause).

My friend was under strict supervision from his parents about his diet, his diet was the most expensive among his siblings, as in his meals where always loaded (the parents thought having a vegetarian in the family was a gift from the gods).

But how well do you know vegans?
Have you done and in depth study about them?
Have you found if they age well or not? How is their quality of life?
Do they look frail and fragile just to live longer?

If the lady in question cuts out supplements, but only stick to vegan diets THEN.....

Nope, not happening.

What happens? Menopause like all females
I am so baffled by your rationales though.
Yes vegans did exist, but where did they exist. Africa for one does not have a history of starting out as vegetarians. This vegan thing may work with the Asians but I doubt it will work with Africans.

Away from that, let's talk about protein deficiency in the body (of cos I know you will give me a schooling on this because it's your field), how long can the body go without animal based proteins? That's why I said what happens when they get to the later years of their life.
How long will their body be in optimal condition with only plant based proteins

And for your first question, one of my friends is a vegan since birth, he could not keep up when it came to physical activities, as he grew older supplements became his best friend, followed by finding good excuses for taking testosterone injections.

If you bring in the use of supplements into the equation here that will change the narrative,
but only plants based dishes? Na.
Don't want a wife that will be visiting the hospital often for blood work.
Hospitals makes me worry.
