Properties / Re: How Can I Avoid Being Scammed, I'm About To Buy A House by Psammmy(m): 2:15pm On Aug 16, 2023
As someone who has lost millions to real estate in lagos in the past, trust me, this has all the hallmark of fraud.. Get a good property lawyer or I recommend (Omonile lawyer, Google them).. I have no connection or interest in the aforementioned law firm or neither am paid to advertise them, am just a over satisfied satisfied client, who they save from throwing more money away. Thier fees is abit on the high side, but dem go investigate that property for u very well, if the property is in lagos. And u can take that law firm verdict on the property to the bank any time..
Former owners A, n B n consultant all the the game together, including thier so called person wey make the call.. Run forest Run

quote author=wittywriter post=125089224]
Get your bank and the sellers bank practically involved....request for a bank lawyer.

Thank me later

I'm not a lawyer...but I write for some...I can link you to one or better still reachout to your account officer for a link .

@Brainbox0806 I guess it's safe to say your transaction went well without any scam involved....Cheers.

Career / Re: Is Japa Worth It? by Psammmy(m): 2:22pm On Jul 25, 2023
If you earn 3000$ in Nigeria, my dear don't travel if wealth is your aim of Japa.
Most European dont earn that much at the end of the month, Americans or Canadians I don't know.. However, if your aim is to live and raised a family in a sane climate where, there is safety of life and property for both you and your family , constant electricity, good infrastructures and calm life, then by all means travel..
But personally, I would advice you not to based on you salary to travel, I think you can live a good life in Nigeria based on that salary..

Sometimes it it's funny how things work in different countries.. In Finland, govt is asking citizen to give birth, it's almost daily ginggle on radio n tv, for young people to produce cos country need to grow population. I mean every child you born, is been paid monthly stipend by govt till they turn 18years. 3 years paid maternity leave for mothers or father etc.. While in Nigeria n some developing countries with poverty and no single help from govt, we dey produced children like flies

Just a bullet into the skull of Simon Ekperima and 75% of the problem is solved.

I keep reiterating that CIA of USA, Mossad of Israel and KGB of Russia won't relax when someone is outside their country but is a threat to their nation.

That Ekperima can be eliminated without any trace. Burn his body into ashes and dump it into the ocean. Let it appear like he's missing or went underground.
About 3000k euros or abit more, very possible
1500euros=1.3mil, 2.5m naira is roughly 3000euros,doable but not every for everyone (as in monthly savings)..

Travel / Re: Nigerians In The UK Are Really Suffering by Psammmy(m): 1:31pm On Jul 06, 2023
I think I should comment this time. Only a fool travels abroad and expect to find money or success on the street especially if you are not from the one percent (wealthy people) in Nigeria.

Japa or what you call it, means extra work for atleas the first 3years, I mean die hard work, but you will be fine in the long run, wether you clean toilet, work in macdonalds etc at first.
If you are a real Nigerian with our long foresight and natural ability to dream big and develop one self..
First three years entails fighting for resident permit, work work work, settling down, living in a small rental single or shared room etc, but you will be fine in the long run and very comfortable if you bear these initial hurdles and hard times
..
We survive and succeed even in non English speaking countries, stop trying to paint the situations bad for those abroad, some of us with nothing background or privileged parents, today own properties and investment both in Nigeria and abroad something some of our mates back home in Nigeria can only dream of.

You travel 1-3 years and just want the very good life overnight immediately or, alternatively start discouraging others from travelling... Bottom line, stfu, bend down and work..
Most successful people in lagos today once live under bridge..

quote author=guobe post=123975356]UK Japa is not what most people that have travelled to UK were expecting.

Things are really tough for most Nigerians in UK. Some of them that passed through the student route have to cough out several millions of naira to pay the school fees and will have to work extra hard to achieve this. You see them crying in the night that God please help me through.

Most goods and services have gone up times 5 in UK and with the recent increase in the interest rate over there it seems there won't be a breather yet.

On the flip side most Nigerians that migrated are doing it for their kids future and we hope things get better with time.
Family / Re: Are Women From Divorced Homes More Likely To Divorce? by Psammmy(m): 9:30pm On May 29, 2023
Letsmeet:
Please everyone, what's your opinion on this?
Is it wise to date a young lady from a divorced home?
If She is very nice, quiet, respectful, the most understanding person in the world, doesn't even quarrel. Has a good job and many other good qualities.
But if her parents are divorced, and live in the same area, and she lives with both of them.
What is the likelihood of her divorcing in future? Anyone with similar experiences please?

Not true in some cases. My wife of 15 years although white European, is from a divorce family, and her eldest 2 sisters are all married for long time too.
In some instance, these children, after seeing what thier single mothers went, will vow never to end up like that, or alternatively thread the same part of thier parents.. I think k it's either way

Foreign Affairs / Re: Assassination Attempt Made On Russian President, Vladmir Putin by Psammmy(m): 7:04pm On May 03, 2023
For once on this idiotic forum, this is actually a good analysis of possible scenarios playing out in this conflict..

lhordspy:
There are 3 sides to this.

Firstly, it is either Russia is trying to use a
false flag operation, by carrying out a self-sabotage, a pretext to escalate things in Ukraine. Maybe Russia is getting tired of the petty military operation. They want to start levelling the ground already. They needed a tangible reason to do that, and an attempt on Putin life is a very solid reason to escalate things.

Or secondly, Maybe Some sections or groups of the Ukrainian military are feeling fly and stupid, or maybe suicidal; probably inflated and intoxicated by the empty-promises of the west. So they are trying to dare Russia and see what the hell they can do.

Or maybe, The Ukrainian military truly launched the attack. With the confidence that no one is actually going to believe the Russian's part of the story. Afterall, their puppeteer; the Un!ted state controls the media. The world only believe what they want us to believe.

Whichever way, one thing is certain: There will be repercussion, there will be consequences. Ukraine is in trouble.

Didn't Atiku tell muslims in a town hall in kaduna state, that the north does not need a yoruba or igbo politician as president but only an hausa Man, isnt that bigotry and ethnicity based politics? Bro I hardly comment here.. The fear of learning anew language is the reason people go to English speaking country. However, I lived in ilorin for 5 years, during university education, and las las as an edo boy, I spoke yoruba and communicate in yoruba till today.
Almost every Finns speak English but working professionally, you need fiinish language. If you goal is to work in the service industry, I mean if your not that educated or you are the entrepreneurial type, you will be fine trust me.. There are jobs in service industry with salary on the average between 1700e-2700 euros.
these jobs don't require Finnish language skill, example(cleaners, restaurant workers, food delivery guys "make 3000-5000€ per month, same as uber, bolt drivers"wink
Professionals make more but you will be require to speak fiinish language.
I learnt the language in 1 and half year cos I was determine to work professionally.. Money is important but I have my pride n didn't want to settle for less.
But life is generally amazing in Finland, like Google will tell u, Finns are the most happiest people on earth for 4 or 5 years straight..

How do you as a person cope with it.
