If you are a hacker, you might have enjoyed the NSA's private zero-day exploits, malware and hacking tools that were leaked last month.
But the question is: How these hacking tools ended up into the hands of hackers?

It has been found that the NSA itself was not directly hacked, but a former NSA employee carelessly left those hacking tools on a remote server three years ago after an operation and a group of Russian hackers found them, sources close to the investigation told Reuters.

The leaked hacking tools, which enable hackers to exploit vulnerabilities in systems from big vendors like Cisco Systems, Juniper, and Fortinet, were dumped publicly online by the group calling itself "The Shadow Brokers."

NSA officials have also admitted to the FBI that their careless employee acknowledged the error shortly afterward, and hence the agency was aware of its operative's mistake from last three years.
But instead of warning the affected companies that their customers were at risk, the NSA maintained the silence.

"After the discovery, the NSA tuned its sensors to detect [the] use of any of the tools by other parties, especially foreign adversaries with strong cyber espionage operations, such as China and Russia," Reuters reports.

Well, that's Bullshit! If they call it a 'tactic.'
Shortly after the public release of NSA cyber weapons, firewall vendors Cisco and Fortinet confirmed that the leaked zero-day vulnerabilities were legitimate and issued out patches to fix those exploits.

We are still waiting for the comments from the NSA, the FBI and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence about the matter.
Since the initial leak of NSA's hacking tools last month and confirmation of the leaked vulnerabilities being legitimate by Cisco and Fortinet, the intelligence agency and online community has been finding out the working exploits in the data dump that are still unknown and used in the wild.

Just recently, Cisco revealed a new zero-day vulnerability from the leaked data dump that had been used by hackers to target some of its customers, which indicates that hackers would likely continue to take advantage of the now-exposed exploits to conduct cyber attacks.

After the iPhone encryption battle between Apple and the FBI, Apple was inspired to work toward making an unhackable future iPhones by implementing stronger security measures even the company can't hack.
Even at that point the company hired one of the key developers of Signal — one of the world's most secure, encrypted messaging apps — its core security team to achieve this goal.
But it seems like Apple has taken something of a backward step.

Apple deliberately weakens Backup Encryption For iOS 10

With the latest update of its iPhone operating system, it seems the company might have made a big blunder that directly affects its users' security and privacy.

Apple has downgraded the hashing algorithm for iOS 10 from "PBKDF2 SHA-1 with 10,000 iterations" to "plain SHA256 with a single iteration," potentially allowing attackers to brute-force the password via a standard desktop computer processor.

PBKDF2 stands for Password-Based Key Derivation Function, is a key stretching algorithm which uses a SHA-1 hash with thousands of password iterations, which makes password cracking quite difficult.

In iOS 9 and prior versions back to iOS 4, PBKDF2 function generates the final crypto key using a pseudorandom function (PRF) 10,000 times (password iterations), which dramatically increases authentication process time and makes dictionary or brute-force attacks less effective.

Now Bruteforce 2,500 times Faster than earlier iOS Versions

Moscow-based Russian firm ElcomSoft, who discovered this weakness that is centered around local password-protected iTunes backups, pointed out that Apple has betrayed its users by deliberately downgrading its 6 years old effective encryption to SHA256 with just one iteration.

WhatsApp has quietly added the ability for users in group chats to tag other participants, so they receive a notification even if they’ve muted the conversation. The feature works on Android and iOS, but not on the desktop app.

You’re probably not going to like this if, like me, you’re in a number of groups that you didn’t ask to be invited to. But if you’re lucky enough to be a part of productive and positive group chats, this will certainly come in handy to keep conversations on track.

There is this young lady i saw, fall in love with her but hid it for a while to check if i was infatuated or really love her. I love to patronize her business even wen i dont really need her product. I started coming close to her, help her serve her customers. We became close and were good friends.

I really love this young lady and wanted a longtime relationship wt her. As the friendship progressed, i once told her that i want her to be my love and so we can really kick off a more serious relationship. I was shocked at her response. She told me dat if i'm serious that i should pay in N50,000 into her account and she will give me all i want.

Yes...it happened to me on my 4 x 4 Jeep. A particular mad man saw the 4x4 logo behind the jeep and quickly add = 16. Making it look like a mathematics (4 x 4 = 16).

I took it to a panel beater who removed and retouched the dent. The next day, this mad man came again and saw that what he wrote has been cleaned, he got angry and what shouting "who is the olodo that canceled the arithmetic he got correctly. He picked a piece of metal and added his = 16 again.

I later took the car to an artist who stylishly added the = 16 to the 4 x 4. I also told him to add the sign of good to the mathemathics.
Next day this same mad man came back to check his matehmatics. Seeing that his work has been approved even with a good, he was excited and said, "now you people have learned this one. He still picked his piece of metal and now wrote under the maths, "thank you very much".

When i saw this one, i feinted.

Though I'm not a politician, that does not mean i dont kw what is happening in this country. Your question is to know the good/best or the bad/worst administration. For me personally, no administration can be a total write off. Comparing the three, i can say that the present administration headed by PMB is the worst among the three. Why i say dis is that though any government can experience economic hardship, but the way it tackles it shows how good or bad the administration is. Its just like a child having a problem in a family, the way the parents will put heads together to solve the problem will tell the child how much concern they have for him, even wen at last the problem was not successfully solved, the child will still be happy to tell the parent, never worry, you have done your best.

in our issue here in Nigeria, the administration behaves as if she is not ready to solve the problems of this country, instead they tend to creat more problems. Buhari using military force to subdue the Niger Delta Agitators while all avenues of dialogue have not bn exhausted tend to show that he is more interested in the crude oil than the lives of the citizens.

Buhari using the limited fund to start oil exploration in the north while we dont have functional refineries to handle the existing ones shows he is not interested in the life of Nigerians.

Buhari having a selective anti corruption fight shows that he is more interested in revenge than leading.

In all the periods Nigeria has undergone economic hardship, we have never hear of parents exchanging their children wit bags of rice, ppl kidnapping ppl to exchange them for food, parents cooking 5cups or rice wt 1cup of rice so that the children will be eating one spoon, one cup of water so the water get them filled instead of the food. We have never heard of any Head of State internationally declaring his citizens as criminals, it only happened during this present administration.

for the flood, it was not due to bad construction of the tunnel. There is a road construction ongoing there, due to some drainage blockage due to the road construction, the flood had to take wherever that is free. My brother dont pretend that you dont know this.

For mechanical engineering, have u seen these high tech cars, they show on the screen when they have any fault and where the fault is, soon it'll get to a level the solution to any fault will be displayed on the screen and it'll become do-it-yourself and the relevance of these engineers will dwindle. Only those that have the opportunity and brain to read this course into becoming a high tech engineers will be relevant. How many people have this opportunity?
