Not just prospects but a gud guy. I don't mean church goer bible carrying man; I mean a guy who is genuinely good. Dat kind of man who isn't just being good cos he has no choice. A man who would make humane decisions and who is caring whatever d weather.

Look at Nigerian men trying to attach themselves to Obama. Obama is not the typical Nigerian man ok? Get that into ur skull...dis guy had d opportunity to work at d the best firms and d opportunity to get a highly paid job after Harvard (I mean its Harvard Law and President of d Harvard Law Review we r talking about here). But he chose not to; so Michelle saw dat he wasn't just some guy who was struGgling cos he couldn't get a job...he was a guy who had bigger goals; he had ambition, ok?
So all d silly scrounger guys who r lookin for rich young girls to pay their bills while they go about lookin for jobs shld back off! No sensible girl would allow a man whose future looks dim and who hasn't shown evidence of a moral high ground, to use her till he gets it together and marries somebody else.

Exactly! Nigerians men r notorious for dumping women who struggled with them for girls they couldn't talk to b4 they made it...who wants to be with a man who would end up marryin some1 else once u hv helped him make it? Dats y many girls want the made man. Like Obowunmi said above, Michelle got lucky! Period.
tjskii: So tell me,wat is d testimony of the nigerian women(our mothers) who av suffered and slaved with their men, struggled to build things up from d scrath...d men either end up trading these women in for younger models or marrying 2nd wives. This is wat d younger generation of women ave seen happen to their mothers,do u now think these youngladies wil be willing to make d same decisions their mothers made, abeg 4get dt craap, marry a made man, enjoy d goodtimes while it lasts, try to save up for d rainy days that are surely coming,so dt wen d time comes for him to misbehave,u can ave smthn to fall back on to take care of ur kids

I actually know a very close family friend (dad's childhood friend) who is like dis. Extremely selfish man with no self control. Left his wife (who had 3 kids for him), went around mscrewing n gettng other kids...d 3 kids from d first wife were neglected by him and even worse, dey lost their mom...dese 3 girls managed to get their lives sorted out...d older got a scholarship went to d uk, and made sure she sorted her two little sisters out too. Now dey r extremely successful accountants and lawyers in d UK. Very very successful young women and now d guy wants some piece of d cake.
D girls don't give him a dime! Not 1 kobo...if they do, like when dey sent him £100 each, its just a gift like for bdays or smtg...but to expect some regular help from them; he'd hv to forget it.
Family / Re: Is My Dad Taking Advantage Of Me by pufectskin: 8:56am On Oct 29, 2012
Dats bull..it! Dat man is selfish and it is absolutely ridiculous for him to demand anything from u.
He spent his best days screwing around and making babies all over d place, treating women like shit (a man with lots of women n kids he is not taking responsibility for their upbringing has no respect for women and has no dignity. He is just a sperm donor) and now he returns after wasting his life away to ask his grown up kids to take care of him.
Are u freaking kidding me? Where was he when she needed a father figure in her life to help with homework, to give advice on men, to pamper her with gifts, to run to after work?
If u ask me, I am sure he feels more like a stranger to her. Now he wants to play d guilt game; make her feel guilty for not taking care of her sooo called blood dad. Excuse me! What if she had a step dad dat took very good care of her instead? She'll take care of 2 fathers? Or she'll ditch her step dad and start caring for her blood dad? Cos blood is sooo important...dats crap...I am outta here

Hello guys,
so i am in need of advice on what school to go to in Canada for my MBA. Here is my list of considerations and
i ll appreciate any advice. please be nice in words, I just need help here:
1. I am more keen about a school that offers internship opportunities more than how hard the school is
for instance in the US, Harvard is tough to get into but Drexel is easier but it is also not hard to get a job after Drexel
because Drexel has lots of co-ops and internship ops in d city of Philly and even NYC, MD and Jersey.
2. I would like a place that has quite a bit africans around
3. I would like a place with a system that is closer to the US education system than UK (I have been to UK and I HATED it, but that is just my own personal issue).
4. I got into Schulich but I am not how sure of its diversity which is why I am seeking advice here...Should I go to Schulich?
I havent been to the city where Schulich is and I dont know what is like...but its d business school at York Univ.
I am considering Uni of Calgary but I dunno how hard it'd be..
Any advice?

Cheers

Dat old man needs to go sit down somewhere
Politics / Re: Achebe's Civil War Memoir's Invitation For Fresh War — CPC by pufectskin: 4:05pm On Oct 07, 2012
He sure is! I think part of him resents d Yoruba; why dey always win without fighting or showing much aggression/threatening anyone. I think he probably resents Soyinka for winning a nobel prize dat is why he keeps refusing the naija honors dey bestow upon him (kind of trying to say medals don't matter to him).
What was he expecting anyway? Dat Awolowo (being on d naija side of d war) would help Biafra win? Excuse me, Mr, dats not how war is fought. Imagine US helping iraq win its war. He is just a bitter old man. Bottomline.
mko abiola: Achebe is a frustrated man.

The starvation policy and change of currency strategy were brilliant! In fact Awolowo was BRILLIANT. Igbos/Ojukwu's army were relying on arms and physical power to win; awolowo helped naija win d war by using his brain more than anything else. Trust d yorubas; always intelligent (dat's dey don't like to fight...violence is not in their dna but if u bring ur drama to them, dey will show who d boss is; by using their intelligence as usual).

Peace out dudes!

There is no way to justify chainsawing his wife except he was doing it in self defence.
Remzolution: you see what am talking about? You didn't read me well, yet you're judging me already...thing is, i never said bullying is right in the first instance. What i meant is, before you judge, first get the details, critically analyse it by putting yourself in that situation, then you can evaluate. What if the woman was at fault and probably had started the squabble? What if she's an unrepentant nag? What if she had planned it with her daughter? You should know how a woman's heart is dark when desperate intent on a purpose...please let's be reasonable for once. Am neither a chauvinist, for the records.
Crime / Re: 11-year-old Stabs Dad To Death For Beating Mom by pufectskin: 4:02pm On Sep 23, 2012
Reason naija kids wouldn't do d same is we r slow in dis country generally and got our morals upside down: eg stay in a marriage no matter wat. Older single girls being harshly judged by society, kids from broken homes harshly judged too, I can go on and on. I am Nigerian, and if I were in d same position as d kid, I would do d exact same thing. Dat kid is sharp and intelligent dat is y she did wat she did - she is very brave. And I say this because dat little kid realized dat d importance of her mom in her life even at her tender age. She knows she has a whole life ahead of her (she is only 11) and she knows dat d philandering man is less worthy in her life dan her mom. So instead of watching d man take her mom away right before her eyes, she got rid of d man. I mean how can u watch someone saw ur own motHer right b4 ur eyes? Especially a person dat sleeps around with other women and who is always being sacked or out of work? Wat future does such a father have planned for d kids. Dat brave girl took her future in her hands - this is wat I got from d whole story.

i dont know y we like deluding ourselves. All of Nigeria NOT most, but ALL OF NIGERIA is a big giant GHETTO aka SLUM.
That is why a guy living in a shack on a road filled with pot holes and no streetlights...in fact no electricity would buy an $80000
Range Rover...he's got something to prove: Dat he is not as poor as the rest of us.
Right after college, I was living in and out of mid-income hotels all over the US on consulting projects for my Company...these
hotels cost the company average $150 a nite, right?
I came to Nigeria and went to one of d so called Luxury hotels in Lagos...and my cousin, who I went with is being charged over $500
a nite...And u know d funny thing? The room is humid, dere is mold everywhere and d roads leading to d hotel are awful to drive; I gotta say; WHAT A LUXURIOUS WELCOME! Why do we africans like payin for crap? Why do we like giving more than we get? Do we have such little regard for ourselves?

Family / Re: How She Changed A Cheating Husband by pufectskin: 4:26pm On Sep 14, 2012
Wow! So let me get this:
1. The woman is saying her new car gift means her hubby now cares and has regard for her and their marriage?
2. She is telling her female children that their future spouses can continue to hurt and emotionally abuse them as long as he buys them material possessions?
3. She is telling her sons that it is okay to treat their women like that too?
4. She is also saying the institution of marriage is really just a paper and doesn't require any respect?
All I can say is has she gone to verify if he has contracted any stds? He just might be buying time till his disease gets worse and he becomes a bag of bones. He'd need her then, afterall she is his booty licker (always stayed even when he treated like d trash she thinks she is).

Precisely. Even 12 and 13yr olds have kids. Once u can have a period, u can give birth. End of story. I seriously don't know where ppl really cook up stories and their deluded ideas from. Makes sense considering d over 60% high school failure rate in naija. Dese r d kinds of statements we get from d half baked graduates.

Childbearing age doesn't start at 21, dudette. It starts when u start having periods because ur eggs can become kids by sperm. Apparently somebody didn't pay attention in Biology class.

dont u understand the english i wrote?

Flakeey: lemon in warm water before breakfast will do.
there will be normal flow with no pain
using pharmaceutical drugs will make u have less than normal flow which is not good as the flow will stuck up in the cervix and can also cause serious complication in women at childbearing age.

Scotch whisky, brandy...infact any hardcore alcohol u can lay ur hands upon works wonders. Put a bit in tea. Or try Feldene pills.
Also look out for Icy-Hot patches which u can get at any pharmacy shops (well if u r in the US/UK).
