Trust me FBN is just too big and too massive for wanaj0's recommendation to influence the direction of the share price even if he is the unanimous stock field marshall on this forum cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
There is a difference between having units of a stock and having holdings of a stock. grin grin grin

AGLeventis lost some steam today. I expect to see more profit taking but I am holding on.

BetaGlass chalked up Max points open to close as expected. I smell the Q-3 results. If only someone will show it to me too  angry

Will someone put a hold on CILeasing and Lawunionhuh End of year don reach now.  shocked

I hope so too. Softly softly.

We have to be able to continue to express ourselves so let's fire on. Anyway, folks don't always agree on a particular analysis.

Back to business. Any results today??

I'm not accusing anyone o! But if this thread really moves the market (and I'm pretty sure it moves the samller coys), could it not be open to "pump and dump". My message is to always do your homework regardless how how much respect or trust you have in a "guru". After all, this is a faceless forum.
I suppose it is open to such manipulation but I won't say I have seen anything in that direction. Most folks here base their recommendations on some analysis and reasoning.  When these are missing one may be concerned.

You are very correct that being convinced of any recommendation here by analyzing it on one's own is the best way to avoid being caught napping.

LOL grin. You self don recognize!

BTW, where is Aktopgun. Since he went to write his thesis for our new members, we never see him brakelights.
I said I have documented proof. Believe.

The only problem is that if one buys a stock today, it is not so good to come and say something good about it tomorrow. Conflict of interest.

I forgot to add that CPL produces crown corks for the bottled products, I don't know how truthful it is but the source insists that CPL also produces crowns for 7up, Guinness etc.

Does anyone know how truthful that is?
Correct. I know they are main suppliers of Nigerian Breweries and Guinness.

@ Pumping 777
Nnam, are you able to get AG Leventis? My broker no fit get am so she divert the money to Intenegins @ 1.76, don’t know if to get mad or praise God. What you thinkhuh
My broker got me about 50% of my order. He has not been able to get any more  cry

I hear IEI is going on TS for reconstruction or the like so I don't know what to say. I consider the stock good for cycling if you are into very short term technical trades.

Regards fundamentals, it does not look good in my books. Forward PE above 33 based on the half year results.

pumping, i feel u on DSR, i go just enter at 38 if possible but i no gree on c and i leasing, this stock is trading at a forward pe of 30 grin shocked shocked. surely, there must be some correction or at least some small stability before one jumps in, id rather go for bagco next year at this rate or just stick with access.
I have looked at CILeasing in many ways and my conclusion is that if you don't buy because you are waiting a price drop that my not come, you miss this bus. I miss a few buses this way  grin grin

CILeasing has a trailing PE of 81.18 and that may be an indication of follow on growth rate. I'm just worried that once the smell of the year result hits, it will be hard to take position.

Thanks.

Got the megaload Access allotment.

Very generous of you.

Not as bad as those 1st Bank people.

It is sad and I just felt so bad for them. I wonder why they were not adviced at the point of purchase. Very cruel.

@Pumping ,

What price do u see fit to enter C&I Leasing, an Dangote.

Do u see any prospects for unilever. entry price please.
CILeasing - I was planning to enter at N6.50 but it appears it won't get there. I think N7 is still a good entry point but plan to ride on it for a little while next year. I will assume one will have to wait for the FY results to maximize the gains on this one.

Dangote - I think it is still safe to enter at todays' low price of N38. The stock is still undervalued and you should make fairly good returns next year even at that price. The FY result should do the trick.

No clue about Unilever. I don't understand the mechanics of their possible turnaround or the extent. I know it is imminent but I cannot quantify it.

Mr. Risky:
Gents, i hear there are lot of public holidays coming up soon in this December.  How do you think this will affect the Stock Market in terms of prices?  Do I sound stupid?  Muslims will have theirs on Friday 21st and Monday 24th and the rest you already know.

Will GDR affect Diamond bank in any way - positive or negative?

The cash on hand is not fitting the small size of my pocket, hence these questions as I am intent on placing a buy order. Regards

CKENNETH YOU ARE REALLY WELCOME, YOU WERE AND STILL REMAIN A RESPECTED GUY ON THE SMN
This means that this week is the last full trading week of this year. Then 4 days of trading next week and 2 days of trading the week after. That's it for the year. So 10 more trading days left this year.

Those that need to sell stocks to raise money for the holidays will have to do so by this week otherwise there won't be sufficient time to cash the funds before the year runs out since they have to wait for clearing at CSCS and maybe at their banks too.

Since there was no significant bearing trend today, I'm not convinced there will be any serious market depression again this year.  sad

It's hard to tell how the GDR will impact Diamond Bank in the short run. Provision is made to convert the GDR to ordinary shares at the time of application. The shares will be diluted but there is no way of knowing the figures to use since we don't know what portion will be immediately converted to ordinary shares.

The only thing I noticed from reading that business day news is that South Africans are trying to form a cartel here, watch it, they are selling part of MTN, an SA company, through another SA bank IBTC, (owned by Stanbic) and advertising it through an SA affiliated newspaper, business day. Is it healthy for our business environment, who can tell? And to think our guys are begging to get there and slave for them, while they raid the companies here for wealth?

Watch the links.
I will not see it this way. We have to allow healthy competition otherwise smaller African companies will also shut their doors on us. Nigeria has benefitted. If your market is healthy you should not shut out foreigners.

Their share allotment is terribly ridiculous.

I am not buying more than 5k units in any PO chikena. I am not interested in returned money wetin na!
Good idea. I consider the POs side betting and just buy what I call my own "rights". Why try for 100K units of Zenith if you're are not going via preferential allotment huh huh

I was lurking for more Beta Glass today after the steady drops but it has shot up 5% today  sad.

Some folks may have an inkling of the Q-3 results. I expect it to come out this week. It's later than usual.

Even with a full year PAT based on 1.5 half year PAT, the projected PE is still 13. Still a cheap stock for me. I'd like to move well inside the bus but no luck today.

My only fear is if there is any government policy that may impact them in the area of glass packaging. If anyone knows, please share.

I doubt anyone here can really move Zenith, that is a liquid stock and 10 million units of zenith even for the mtners is a lot.
, but just in case you are out there, i hail o
BUt yes, the illiquid ones are not that difficult to move,
Just look at what shigidi and windywendy have collectively done to betaglass
The problem is not with moving. That is not the game. These are not bad guys. They are just preferred customers and have their orders serviced first. The problem is that we don't get to buy!!! Zenith sold only 1.3M units yesterday. A bid of 10M units on the floor for Zenith means you will be frustrated like the folks crying about Bank PHB today if you are trying to buy. I am still waiting for my 100k units. You try bidding for FCMB on the floor now. For where?

You think the guys on this forum are the ones buying AGleventis now?? Let me hear from those that bought yesterday and today. Let me see how much of the 1.13M that was sold yesterday that we got.
