Some guys I have talked to seems to think there are better bargains in the secondary market that beats AIICO offer for now. And they are in the insurance sector.
Please fill me in on such opportunities o.

I think Aiico is a very good deal. The downside will be oversubscription.

The new share are entitled to bonus and dividend and forward PE for 2008 at offer price is around 10. I expect at least 100% capital appreciation in just 6 months.

Note that Aiico is currently priced so low on the floor because of TS, otherwise, the floor price would be abound N4.50.

One quick question, if the gdr is 16.50 and u can convert it to shares after it closes, why buy the shares from the floor for around 18.50. You could save 2 naira
buying the gdr. Is there any logical advantage buying from the floor?
One way of looking at it and I tend to agree with this. The only problem is who knows when the shares will really be creditedhuh

I reply the emails that I get. Not that I have all that much time, but that is the spirit of our association here. Even If I don't know, I will still reply and tell you so.

It is neither a curse word nor demeaning in anyway. I am sure that there are several connotations for it but I meant "big-talking" and thats all. Those who choose to be offended, where is YOUR own sense of humor?
I think this was just a misunderstanding but apologies accepted on behalf of the house.

How can I use the Megaupload. I cannot download anything oh
You no be engineer?? grin grin grin
Ok. Let me try laymans' language.

- Click on the link of for the file you want to download and it takes you to the mega upload site.
e.g. - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=323TP97D

- Towards the top right hand corner, you will find a "download" button.

- To the left of this you will find an empty text field that you can type into.

- To the left of this you will see "here:"  grin grin

- To the left of this you will see a number of characters. There are normally 3 characters.

- Type these characters into the empty text field and click the "download" button.

- It takes you to another page. Here you will find 3 columns - Feature, premium and free.

- Since you are not paying, you can only dowload from the free column but you have to wait for a count down of about 30 seconds for being a free loader grin

- After this count down from 30 to zero, the "Free dowlolad" button is visible and enabled and you can click on this to download your file.

turnover quite impressive but PAT very low. whats  the possible cause. house wats your opinion on this stock
Very poor results. Despite the capital injection from the rights issue. Possibly the impact has not yet been felt on the bottom line.

If one compares the Q-2 result to the Q-3 result, one will notice that a loss is actually declared in Q-3. PAT grew from 0.19B to 0.12B.

Forward PE of 167. Not a short term candidate.

Just heard that its shares are about to listed @ N2.88, and not N12.88 as widely suggested in prev pages. Hope this helps!
Well, that looks more reasonable. The report from Meristem yesterday could have been wrong. Let's confirm today.

Access - Thanks. I see I added the 3.8B units twice. That is a welcome adjustment. The original figure was mind boggling. huh

Deap -  I suppose they have some better results to justify the listing price and I expect it to be public very soon.

@Pumping777

Rally of 544% from April of this year till now, without being listed on the floor. I wonder how that would have happened - if there is nothing dodgy.
The rally itself does not mean something is dodgy. Look at it this way. Suppose they are on course to deliver 500M PAT for 2007?? Then N12.88 is a fair listing price. On the other hand I know where you are coming from. They may just be taking advantage of the market but I know long term there will be price correction if they don't deliver the goods.

Pumping, any idea on how many DEAP shares will be listed?

All, see the DEAP prospectus below. PAT for YE Sept. 07 was forecasted at ~200M

http://www.africanselect.com/www/ipo/17530/DEAP_PROSPECTUS_FINAL.pdf
Offer - 120.1% oversubscription of 375,265,870 shares = 0.45B

Rights - 101.8% oversubscription of 115,691,506 shares = 0.117B

Giving us a total of around 0.567B.

If 2007 PAT is meant to be 200M then forward PE is 36.51 ---- Righthuhhuh??

They had better deliver more than 200M.  tongue tongue

Wasn't the IPO of DEAP at N2 per share? Why would it be released at N12.88 - all this mago-mago self,
And, people would storm into it - without any detailed fundals or technicals.
Reallyhuh That is hot!!! Maybe they have recent results to back it up.

Of course, expect the post PO listing rally. NSE for you.

Can anything good come out of livestock feeds, are they likely going to make good profit soon, i can't seem to find their quarterly results anywhere, can someone advice plz before i take the plunge,
Go to proshareng.com. News --> Results and dividends. Work your way back and you will find their results there.

I will be careful will Livestock short term. They are yet to post solid results and they seem to be seeking additional funds all the time. See the statement below.

----
A total of 630,519,000 shares were added to the shares outstanding in the name of Livestock Feeds Plc on Thursday, November 22, 2007 following the Placing with three Investors.
----

Remember also that they declared exceptional items as part of profit, otherwise they would have reported a loss in one of the interim results.

The fundamentals don't look healthy to me. Now with about 1.2B outstanding shares, the forward PE is around 77.

I know it is a good cyclic stock, so if you are a technical trader, it might still pay off. Otherwise, nothing good to report.

I agree with you. I don't see anyone on this forum that will just say "buy this stock" without any justification and will be taken seriously. I know some folks are just being modest, but most times, guys are spot on but it is usually based on sound analysis.

All these 'tory' about promoting PET bottlling as opposed to glass bottles will seriously impact the bottomline for betaglass infact it may put them out of business. Once the currency of this story starts gaining ground investors and potential investors alike may panic and send the shares nose-diving.

I will tread carefully on that one timing is of the essence!
This story has been making the rounds since early this year but yet nothing solid. The problem is that if insiders know this is not happening, they stand to profit while we are waiting for the bad news that will not come.
