LikeAking:It doesn't matter if it is oil or non oil as long as it earn them sufficient money. Export isn't limited to non - oil, it can be anything as long as it earn them forex. Let me tell you one fact Nigeria is not even importing enough, that import is too low for our population. Nigerian is not importing enough and we are also not exporting enough, which means we are living in penury and abject poverty. It is like not being able to make what you like and buy what you like. |
LikeAking:well i will agree with you on that. but one of the major problem in this country is we are not producing enough. |
LikeAking:This is basic economy not what i heard Every country is like a company your revenue must be higher than your production cost to be profitable, basic economy. Nigeria export and Revenue is too small for our population and to make it worse our import surpass our export. |
LikeAking:Oh my God you are so stubborn and Ignorant It is not all Arab countries that are rich and there is no rich country in the world that import more than it export. Is Egypt, Mozambique, Botswana rich countries although they may be fairing better than Nigeria they are not rich countries? Look at Saudi import and Export for 2022
|
LikeAking:You are the one that don't know what you are saying. Export isn't limited to manufacture goods, it can be services, mineral resources like crude oil or tourism, anything that generate forex for the country. You think export is only limited to manufacture of goods ? it doesn't have to be manufactured goods, it can be mineral resources like crude oil, gold etc or tourism and entertainment it can be services like engineering and constructions, do you know how much China make from contructing trains, roads, bridges etc in other countries every year ? Do you know how much forex Saudi Arabia and Isreal generate from religious tourism every year ? that alone can compete with Nigeria revenue from crude Oil Do you know how much forex USA make from Hollywood music and Hip hop every year? that alone can buy Nigeria several times over.

Bobloco:The value of the Naira doesn't matter, Nigeria will always be a poor country until our export surpass what will import. You guys are channeling your attention on the wrong thing. Nigerians were still very poor under Obasanjo and Yaradua when naira still have some value and fuel was very cheap. All infrastructures were in comatose state or no infrastructures at all, many Nigerian youths were also jobless and difficult to get jobs and there was also not much different in the standard of living. We just bought things cheaper during those times, the standard of living of Nigerians didn't increase. This country will always be a poor country until our export surpass what will import it is the only thing that can create jobs and increase the standard of living. |
Treadway:During those period there was still massive poverty in Nigeria, infrastructures were almost non existent and the existing one were all in decrepit state. Nigerians were still very poor during the tenure of Obasanjo and Yaradua with bad infrastructures or no infrastructures at all and among the poorest nations, you just have the delusion that Nigeria was better because you bought things cheaper lol. Every thing Nigeria is suffering from didn't start today. |
Devaluation of naira is not necessary a bad thing but the problem is Nigeria is not a producing country. We import everything will consume in this country, if we are a producing country like China devaluation of naira will give us advantages over other producing countries, we will earn more forex because exportation will increase. People import from China because it is much cheaper to import things from there than any place in the world, do you think it would be possible if their currency have the value close to that of US dollars? Nigeria economy will always be stagnant and hopeless if we don't evolve from a consuming country to a producing one. Federal government should declare a state of emergency on the manufacturing and producing sector in this country, it is the only thing that can revive our economy. |
Many Nigerians have been totally brainwashed with religion and take the Palestine/Isreal crisis as a religious war. Israel know all the stories in the bible were fictional tales written to control people for dominance, like the Europeans used it to quickly colonized Nigeria. The darkest secret most people don't know is that if it wasn't for religion it wouldn't have been easy for Europeans and Arabic people to colonized a lot of places in the world. Religion was just a tool invented for that purpose, if it wasn't for religion Fulani people wouldn't have been able to conquered Hausa people and continue to rule them to this day. It is just like Yoruba people colonizing a country and exporting Isese religion, Ifa and Oduduwa stories there, calling Oduduwa the true God and other God fakes. The people that believed in the stories and converted to Isese would also treat Yoruba people as God children, believe they are special. Open your mind people and free yourself from mind slavery, all religions are fakes invented to control people for power, do you know how much Saudi Arabia and Isreal make from religious tourism every year why won't they be rich ? If your God is even a just God that created humanity equally why would he even give some of them special treatment after all every humans were his creation? The bible and quran are just racist books too bad most Africans are too deep in this mental slavery.

As dire as economic situation in Nigeria is at the moment, not even dollar-a-day Nigerians at home are living in the kind of places some Nigerians are said to find as homes in Canada, all in the quest for ‘better’ living condition and jobs abroad. Due largely to the rent crisis arising from low housing supply and affordability issues which also define the housing market in Nigeria, some Nigerians who left Nigeria for Canada are now living in cemetery and streets—places that are odd and unimaginable under normal circumstances. The streets of Canada and, in extreme cases, the cemetery have become top destinations for immigrants and refugees and it is reported that several immigrants, running into tens of thousands, are now pitching their tents in these places as their homes. In Quebec, one of the country’s largest cities, for instance, one in two homeless people can be located in rural areas in odd places. This is explained by Julie Bourdon, the Mayor of Granby, who noted that, “visible homelessness did not exist three years ago in Granby,” adding however that “rents are very high now compared to two years ago.” The housing situation in this North American country considered to be the second largest in the world after Russia, is such that, in January this year, the country revealed that it was considering limiting the number of international student visas, including Nigeria, as part of solutions to its housing shortages. This was according Sean Fraser, the country‘s minister for housing, infrastructure, and communities, who noted that the sharp rise in the number of students was putting pronounced pressure on some housing markets. It was reported that from January to June 2023, about 10,180 Nigerians moved to Canada, prompting a report by a renting agent in the country called Rentals.ca to note that “the growing number of students entering Canada has added further upward pressure on rents.” These are, however, to be expected from a country which, in the last few years, has become a preferred destination for international students due to its immigration-friendly policies. Available record shows that the number of study permits issued to Nigerians by Canada rose by 17.8 per cent to 16,195 as at the end of 2022, up from 13,745 in the same period in 2021. This, according to the record, placed Nigeria among the top 5 source countries for new international students in the country. Opinion Nigeria, an Abuja-based media outfit, noted recently that despite the housing and rent challenges confronting Canadians, the country was still receiving immigrants from across the globe including Nigerians. “Recently, the Canadian federal government announced an aggressive plan to take in 500,000 immigrants a year by 2025, with almost 1.5 million new immigrants coming to the country over the next three years. In 2022, the country welcomed 437,120 permanent residents, almost 8 percent increase from the total number of permanent residents in 2021,” the paper said. It quoted Fraser as saying, “immigration levels plan will help businesses find the workers they need.” Like Nigeria, the housing problem in Canada has no immediate solution as it is reported that the country’s 2023 budget ignores its worsening housing and homelessness crises and fails to support those in greatest need. The Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) lamented recently that as communities across the country experience an increase in homelessness and an explosion in housing need, the federal government’s budget failed to do anything new to address the housing crisis. According to CAEH, “with one million newcomers, a wave of new homelessness driven by rampant inflation and a massive loss of affordable housing, this budget needed to take meaningful action to address Canada’s housing crisis.” CAEH leads national movement of individuals, organizations and communities working together to end homelessness in Canada. The group’s President/CEO, Tim Richter, said, “it’s clear that the federal government does not see the scale and urgency of these crises, and has offered no solutions.” https://businessday.ng/news/article/nigerians-find-homes-at-odd-places-in-canada-as-rent-crisis-worsens-2/ cc Mynd44 Nplfmod |
Deal with your insecurities first Your insecurities is going to ruin the relationship even if the girl is loyal, as you think you shall become. Obsessing over whether she loves you as much as you loves her is the kiss of death with girls, you must be ready for her to leave at any time she want and even be willing to dump her yourself. Girls like men with confidence and this your obsession and worries about whether she will leave you will always make you act like a guy without confidence and it will always make you act in a way that the girl will like to leave you. That girl is just managing you for now, she want to leave you ? or want to stay with you ? who cares ? lol only weak men like you, there are plenty of fishes in the sea and if you are good you will always be able to get women, even if any woman is with me and she is not behaving very well to my satisfaction i will dump her. |
Dreambeat:It is not only in Africa go to Russia and abuse Putin or North Korea and China and see if you won't dissappear. |
prophetfire:The government can't control the prices of goods in a free markets and democracy. So many Nigerians are just ignorant try that and watch foreign investment desert Nigeria and hurt Nigeria economy badly even China wouldn't try that easily. |
LockDown69:We are not in an autocratic government, the federal government can't control companies or chide companies because they are making profits it will send a wrong message to foreign investors and hurt Nigeria economy. |
BadMaster:The government can't check them because we are practicing free markets and democracy in Nigeria. FG can't set prices for companies and you just can't witch hunt companies for making profits. If the FG try that you guys would also be the first one to blame federal government for not making the country suitable for foreign investments, we are practicing democracy in Nigeria which mean companies also have the rights to set any price for their goods and services without government control like a military or autocratic government and doing something like that would send a wrong message to foreign investors and hurt Nigeria economy badly. |
FreeStuffsNG:And you guys will blame the government for no foreign investment into the country, you don't know something like that can blacklist Nigeria from foreign investment ? even China wouldn't dare to try something like that, witch hunting because companies are making profits. Nigeria is practicing free markets and not an autocratic country, the government can't set the price of goods in a free market and democracy, if the FG try that Nigeria won't see any foreign investment. |
incandescentena:You rate yourselves too much lol You think Tinubu would be bother about all these lol, he wasn't bother about it when he was contesting he would now be bother about it now. You guys are delusional |
very commendable |
Offpointng:The Bible is all full of bullshits and fictional stories like that. Only a fool would believe there's something without evidence. |
sotall:Religion is one of the major causes of poverty in Africa today and stoping Africa from developing. People just expect an imaginary sky daddy to solve all their issues instead of being pragmatic. The funiest thing is that all the bullshits call prayer doesn't work but people are so brainwashed. You will have more luck getting rich or successful playing bet9ja with a strategy than praying on a mountain somewhere for a sky daddy to send a ghost to deposit money in to your account. People that died every day because of diseases or accident a larger chunk of them are fervent christians, no prayer can save any one from dying untimely just wish not to be unlucky. If not for the fear of Hell fire many people would not be christians, christianity is all driven by fear and belief in bullshits magic. Your god is all powerful but will rather watch people masturbate than to solve most of the sufferings of the world to prove his existence. That's not a good and compassionate god like most Christians claimed, he is cruel and a psycho he doesn't exist though.
