Ketima: Is really sad, came online I saw phone numbers flying up and down and I thought nairaland is dashing free MB.
I must say it, Is so unfortunate that of recent newbies and silent readers have started turning this beautiful platform upside down. Derailing from the principles the pioneers instituted that made this platform informative and educative.
I don't blame the gurus (frankrobnn, justmellow, Lekiboboe, makano, Spectro, Liann20 to name but a few), they must have noticed all this and don't regularly come as they do before now ( though my observation). I still give it to Lianna20, makano and my able Google Lekiboboe, who are still doing their wonders here. Of recent, makano stoped giving free application assistance cos of this singular attitude. Sorry makano, when you decided to not do it free, I silently didn't support of it as I felt is better to give out free. But I'm so sorry to have not supported it, now I see better. This set no deserve am walahi.
Just look at someone who just got PPR and is now forming guru and is dragging peeps to his group to teach them what he learnt here oo. And what even amazed me is that he said he got the info to support his application from here and people still are sending numbers to him when they could have still gotten the infos from here as well.
Is obvious Nigerians don't like to get things free. They prefer when they are charged. No wonder agents are messing them up here and there. So sad. This is why some people don't do well. You benefited from a platform and the next you can do is derail and spoil that particular platform. As for the newbies, do not be lazy, read up and get what you need here. Lastly, I implore the mod to blockeveryone sharing numbers here. This thread has indeed derailed badly |

Residentourist: Join me in celebrating God's faithfulness because what he cannot do indeed does not exist!!! SOWP and study visa applications approved same day!!!
My husband's SOWP and my 11year old son study permit got approved after the 3rd attempt. First attempt 2016 we all applied as a family and were all bounced on purpose of visit and home ties. After I got my study permit approved in June 2021 we reapplied on 11 July 2021 - visitors visa for hubby and study permit for kids Refused 29th September
Reapplied October 29 before the GCMS notes came because it was delayed. Medical for my husband November 15 ( my son had done his medicals earlier) Medical passed November 22 GCMS notes finally came in late November- December 2021 (applied for hubby and the kids and they all came at different dates, one even came in the middle of December) GCMS notes showed the VO was concerned about the cost implications of running 2 homes and home ties. Luckily all those concerns had been adequately tackled in the SOP during reapplication. In the course of waiting a friend who had also applied for study permit for her kids decided to try out the new IRCC portal and got her kids visitor visa approved in 7days so we decided to give it a try too. Visitor visa application was done on the 19th of December 2021...then another round of waiting commenced. Eligibility 20/01/2022 (noticed my son's medical was passed on that date)
PPRs January 21, 2022!!!
Documents submitted All relevant IMM forms Bank statements Title Documents of properties Investment certificates Pension Documents Letter of employment and promotions Letter of introduction from employer Payslips Receipt of my school fees My study permit and my kids visitors records Int'l passports SOP Letter of introduction from me. We wrote to CIC twice and filled out webform once last week and most of the messages were not even delivered. Letter to MP has also not been acknowledged This can only be God!

As us has free visa to canada, they can't stay in US beyond 180 days on free visit visa to Canada unless extended otherwise they will be illegal immigrants...they can't study on visit visa.. They must be included on the family information form when making your application..if they can't travel with you at this time ..and all necessary information filled date of birth ,birth certificates attached etc ..for future records..if you don't include this information, you will have hard time bringing them to Canada to join you later..excluding kid after the application.. Ketima: Hello all,
I want to appreciate us all for the good job we are doing here. But I must be sincere with us, It breaks my heart that recently, seems this thread have now turned to ONLY ASKING AND TAKING WITHOUT GIVING BACK
Imagine if the gurus that started this informative thread had left without giving back, by now many of us would be in the dark as regards to Canada study permits processes or at the mercy of wicked agents who would have sapped us dry of our hard earned money and still dash us ban.
Now if we don't give back, how would the newbies learn and not fall victims of these agents? It has gotten to the point that newbies and old members now had to beg or ask people to drop timeline after shout of PPR.
The essence of this timeline sharing is to help one another, whom by looking at documents submitted, will make him or her know where he or she faulted. We don't need to be asked to drop timeline before doing it. Let's do it to help one another. Is not all the time that the gurus will be here to direct and answer questions.
Reading through chats, I saw influx of shouts of PPR some days ago and it ended there. Guess God has now answered your prayers and you don't need this thread again Abi?
Let's all help one another through sharing of our timeline and document's submitted please. It goes a long way in helping.
Also, please those that have travelled, please endeavour to share your landing gist nah. It will help people getting ready to travel to know what and what you have handy and what to expect. Very many questions of people who are about to travel have asked as regards documents needed at the airports by airlines, but no clue cos those that have travelled, haven't come back to give us landing gist.
Sometime last month during the flight ban, many left through indirect route and many have gone after the lifting of flight ban. So what's happening? Please you all should come back and give is landing gist. It go help us well well. Jay316, I'm waiting for your own in particular lol.
@Makano, guess you need to inform justmellow about the thread. The pages is now too long to read through. Help us tell the moderators to do what they know how to do best.
I wish us all the best. We all shall smile at the end of this huzzle. You have said my mind. Bit by bit, people no longer reckon with giving back to this forum that has done so much for them. Typical human mentality of getting what they want and moving on. It is well |

I received a mail from Qlife on the 25th that my medical has been sent to IRCC. But have been checking my status since then and it has not been updated to pass or anything. So after work this evening i decided to check my application if the medical has been updated to pass. But to my greatest surprise i saw correspondence and ppr message it has been sent around 1pm or so but i just saw the message. My question now is that is it possible for IRCC to send ppr and not update my medical to pass yet. Congratulations. Please give us details of documents submitted |

Lani84: Hello friends, I hope everyone is doing well. My sister got her GCMS notes, and we are ready to re-apply. I have attached the reason for refusal. She is married, but her husband is staying behind. Please see the documents we are planning to attach (asides from the standard ones like police clearance):
1. New Statement of Purpose 2. Spousal letter of support 3. Spousal affidavit of support 4. Letter of explanation for spouse's bank statement 5. Letter of Introduction from her office 6. Spouse's letter of employment 7. Spouse's payslips 8. Her payslips 9. Her CV 10. Her work ID 11. Her letter of admission 12. 1 year tuition payment evidence 13. Her mutual funds statement 14. Her marriage certificate
Are we missing anything please?
Thank you all as always. May God help us Your GCMS notes should make your reapplication easier. 1. You have to explain the lump sum in your SOA, as identified by the VO. Do a LOE for your SOA and explain every lump sum in it. 2. Your spouse's pay slip has to be resubmitted with clear legibility. This should go with showing proof that he can take care of the home front in your absence. 3. Your SOP seem not to do justice to your study plan. You really must convince the VO of your study plan and how the proposed course of study bears positively on your previous academic qualifications and career progression. I think you have a lot of work to do on your SOP. Again, wait for the gurus. It is well |

HakHim: Hello good morning everyone good morning to all the gurus as well.
It will be a long post and please I really need guidance and help/ advice.
Kindly read.
I have gotten two refusals.
My first application.....
I applied first early this year. Self sponsored. 18M in three banks all statements attached, but had lump sum deposit in one of them (sold some assets).
HERE WAS THE REFUSAL REASONS
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based in your family ties in Canada and your country of residence."
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR based on personal asset and financial status."
REQUESTED GCMS....
HERE IT IS......
PA is self funded. Employment letter shows PA makes 16,000 annually. Funds provided are not commensurate to PA income. Transaction on bank statement shows lump sum deposit. Source of funds unknown. Concerns about funding. Bank statement to be verified.
{ please note that in my SOP I stated there the businesses that I do I attached CAC OF MY COMPANY I ALSO PUT THE RECEIPT OF ALL EQUIPMENT THAT I HAVE FOR MY BUSINESS, so my only source was not just my salary, but I think I was judged based on only my salary as my only source of income}
HERE IS THE REPORT FROM IMMIGRATION AND BORDER CANADA
"I have reviewed the application. the applicant is seeking to study in Canada. I am not satisfied that the applicants will leave Canada at the end of their stay as a temporary residence. I note that the client is single, mobile, is not well established and has no dependents. taking the applicants plan of studies into account the documentation provided in support of the applicants financial situation does not demonstrate the funds will be sufficient or available. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense weighing the factors in this application I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms and conditions imposed as a temporary residence. For this reason above I have refused this application."
SECOND APPLICATION.....
I submitted LOE, I explained the source of income, I gave a detailed financial table that shows how much I make from each equipments and how much I have in the bank. I used a sponsor (cousin) this time around he has 13M balance and sent me 2.6M for my first semester tuition.
I paid first semester tuition. I still submitted my personal bank statement of 17M. They verified my bank account from the first application and I also reminded them that the funds are still very much there seated for months now that it is mine....
Yet I still got a refusal ... Here is the reasons again from my refusal letter. I just requested for my gcms note
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based in your family ties in Canada and your country of residence."
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR based on personal asset and financial status.".......
I ORDERED GCMS FOR THE SECOND APPLICATION, HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS....
I HAVE CONSIDERED THE POSITIVE FACTORS OUTLINED by THE APPLICANT, INCLUDING STATEMENTS OR OTHER EVIDENCE.
THE APPLICANT HAS PROVIDED A REASON FOR THEIR VISIT TO CANADA
HOWEVER I HAVE GIVEN LESS WEIGHT TO THE POSITIVE FACTORS FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS
I NOTE THAT THE APPLICANT INTENDS TO SELF SPONSOR,
HOWEVER GIVEN THAT INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE OF ALTERNATIVE INCOME HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED THE FUNDS AVAILABLE DON'T APPEAR TO BE COMMENSURATE TO HIS MONTHLY INCOME HENCE THE SOURCE OF FUNDS IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT IS NOT CLEAR INCLUDING ITS AVAILABILITY TO SUPPORT THE APPLICANT STUDY IN CANADA
I ALSO NOTE THAT THE APPLICANT COUSIN INTEND TO CO-SPONSOR studies however given the evidence of relationship/connection to third-party sponsor and the history of financial support are not sufficiently substantiated,I have concerns about the credibility of the sponsorship, limited obligation for the 3rd party sponsor to provide ongoing financial support.
based on the review of this document presented in support of this application the application appears not to be well established in the home country
I am not satisfied that the applicant to leave Canada at the end of their stay as temporary resident, I note that the applicant is not well established in home country has not demonstrated proof of dependent dependents. given the lack of family ties or economic motives to remain in home country the applicant incentives to remain in Canada may outweigh their ties to their home country
Weighing the factors in the application I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorised for their stay
for the reasons above I have refused this application.
Please can you advice or let me know what next to do.... As I have addressed the concerns from the first application I even used a sponsor this time around..... . So sorry about the delay. I am glad you are taking your time before putting in the 3rd application. That said, I am not a guru and I will advice you wait for them to respond. However, I have a few observations based on the 1st and 2nd GCMS notes; 1. The VO retains doubts about your source of finance, despite your explanation in the 2nd application. Notably, the VO is not convinced about your explanations regarding your alternative source of income. He/she is also sceptical about the your cousin's sponsorship. (I want to believe someone who is not directly related to you is seen as a 3rd party sponsorship). 2. The VO is also concerned about your establishment in Nigeria. This is more about home ties. He sees you as single, mobile with no serious demonstration of ties to Nigeria. My suggestions; 1. You need to demonstrate that your alternative source of income is viable and has been your main source of financial income, rather than your work which the VO sees as not paying enough. How you would do this a bit dodgy as I don't have details of how the business runs. However, you need to prove to the VO that the business is important to you and viable enough for you to return home (this also somehow demonstrates home ties). If possible shift your sponsor to any of your parent or direct sibling. 2. Being single, you must have reasons to come back home. It could be your parents and siblings serving as your home ties. Also, if you can have properties bequeathed to you by your parents in form of a gift deed, it could demonstrate home ties. Most importantly, you must prove to the VO that you have reasons to come back home. I would suggest to elaborate on your family ties and use your parents and siblings as reasons for wanting to come back. Your single status and less information about family may not help. These are my thoughts. PLEASE, WAIT FOR THE GURUS. |
