zellfoxx: You didn't goof ooo. Since you can hit 7.5 in both writing and speaking on first try, then you have less work to do your second time around. I dare say you can make some more points with a little more preparation.
We will get there. Thanks for the encouragement. |

Mmamaroon: You told us in Jan that you'd evaluated Masters and PGD with WES and that your CRS was at 450: https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/404#98444589
Is it the PA (usually the younger person) that has the Masters? Did both of you max out on IELTS? If it is the non-PA spouse that has the PGD, you only gain 3 additional points with 1 yr program vs two degrees. What parameters make up the 450?
Pls review page 1 carefully again, especially the CRS grid to see what you can do to increase points....it will save you precious time and money. You are correct. The evaluation I talked about in my January post was hypothetical and I was looking at the best scenario. That was how I arrived at 450 then. Well, IELTS results are out and wifey maxed out, while I goofed big time (it was my first time and her 3rd time, as she had written twice in the past to test the waters, when I wasn't serious about the relocation thing). She got 8.5, 8, 8, 7.5 in LRWS while I got 7.5,7, 7.5,7.5. I calculated the CRS with the current development and i got 448. If I upgrade my WES to include my HND, I get 2 more points and we are still stuck at 450, which will slide to 445 by June (wifey turns 36 by then)! I won't be dismayed, all way na way and the dream will become a reality God dey!! |

Good morning people, so sorry to ask basic questions, I just want to be properly guided. I did WES Evaluation for my PGD and I got "Post Graduate Diploma (one year)" as Canada Equivalency Summary.
I actually have HND, but opted to do the PGD being the highest. Now, when evaluating my CRS scored, I noticed if I had done WES for my HND, it would have given 2 or more certificates, which would give higher point than " One year program at a university " I currently get for my PGD. I am correct with the selection of "one year program at a university" as the equivalent of my PGD?
My question, what is the correct selection for PGD when doing CRS evaluation?

First attempt I wasn’t prepared at all at all Due to work, I just went to write hoping for the best. Second attempt I was very prepared but got lost during listening Cbt Third attempt again got lost during listening cbt Fourth attempt I took paper and made a silly mistake , I didn’t indent or paragraph my work in writing , I didn’t finish my reading test , tbvh the reading test was very tough this time. Fifth attempt I put all my mistakes together and forged ahead. I used IELTS Liz mainly , IELTS fast track for listening tips. Then this IELTS master free module that idp gives I used it alongside Liz for writing and that thing was very very helpful. Watched all Liz videos . Tips for speaking I got it from Don Oliver on the idp IELTS instagram page and that was it. Thank you for coming to my ted talk. I’m still excited and over the moon. Congratulations. IELTS is not a joke at all. |

Debbieeeeeee: Hi purespikes, as for your evaluation with Wes , your wife has evaluated her highest degree which is Msc and there’s no need evaluating the lower ones because it’s to no end, then you too what you can do is send in your masters transcript when your school opens, all those other lower certificates like ond and professional courses don’t matter when you have a masters(except a PHD). As for pnp, I don’t know much but people who do will contribute, but I know pnp targets people with certain CRS scores and NOC’s . French is also an option due to age. Did you max our IELTS ? For PA maxing our means 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 in LRWS and also for dependant maxing our is 8,7,7,7. Thanks Debbieeeeeee for your prompt response. IELTS results isn't out yet, but I am hopeful and confident we would hit top scores. The funny thing is even if we max, CRS points would still be around 450. It is well.... |

Great nairalanders, I greet I am finally making a post (Sighs). I have read enough and even opened a jotter to make notes on this thread. I even went through the closed PNP thread. However, please permit me to still ask questions, because despite all my reading, I am still confused.
So, my wife(the would be PA) and I have decided to embark on this PR journey. We have both done WES for Msc and my PGD. We have also done IELTS but awaiting results. Here lies my worries. Even if we both get the best IELTS results, her CRS score will be around 450 since age is not on our side (she's younger and would be 36 soon). With this, it appears the PNP route is our best option.
I have a cousin in Manitoba, who has expressed willingness to help. I read that can give additional 200 points. I have equally read here that the Family route MPNP scheme in Canada has been suspended. How true?
With this scenario, what is our best option? During WES Evaluation, wifey did only her Masters and left out her other qualifications (OND Accountancy, Bsc Accounting). I also did only my PDG leaving out my ND and HND (I have completed my professional Masters but yet to get the results due to strike and the irresponsibility of the institution I attended).
Can we update our WES by evaluating these other qualifications to boost score? My PGD evaluation didn't give me much educational qualification points.
Great people, how can we boost our CRS score? Is there any PNP option available to us to exploit? Please assist a confused brother. God bless |

When you have this cracking notice at cold start, what's the remedy? I am about to purchase a 2015 Ford Explorer with the single problem of cracking notice at Cold start. Do I really have to replace the engine or that sound can be remedied? That's the only problem with the vehicle and the seller is honest enough to tell me this issue. Please reply fast because I need to make a decision.
Thanks |

I read this thread from the beginning to the last page. I have a question. At what point do I get my Bill of Lading? I have a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 coming from Houston, Texas on Roro by Grimaldi. My friend who helped in buying the car only sent me a document indicating that it has been taken to the port. I have read here that it takes 2 weeks to arrive once it sails. Who can help with the clearing cost also? Vehicle is coming to Tincan. Thanks |

purespikes: That's why I am asking questions sir. Some of us are not savvy when it comes to cars and machines. The inscription on the faulty gear is U250. Here is the Vin 2T1KE4EE8AC035303
I insisted that the 10pin transmission (whatever that means) be removed and replaced with the U250 I saw written on the faulty transmission. Kazeem claims they've tried 3 new transmission and none worked. I demanded that he put back the faulty transmission and return my vehicle.
I need a very good mechanic to help me fix this vehicle in Abuja. Any recommendations please? Kindly help. Tha k you I have the vehicle with me with the malfunctioning transmission. Drove it to Apo today in search of a solution. The transmission sellers showed me different types of transmission ( U341, U 240, etc). None is U250 that's my vehicle's specs. I refused to buy, even though they insisted "it didn't matter". One told me he's a global dealer and I cant teach him. I gladly walked away. Still waiting for referral on a good mech in Abuja to help out.... |

The gear was replaced 2 days ago. I've called the mech and told him to change it back to 13pin. I told him a reversal on whatever electrical alterations they've made should be done as well. I wish I can be there when this will be done. The vehicle is going back to Kazeem tomorrow... |

Moneystopnonsen: Bros I know you were not there when they mounted this new transmission. Believe me what you have in there is your old 13pin, it was converted to a 10pin, they just opened your gear from under removed the 13pin body valve and replaced it with a 10pin body valve and a gear electrician did some wiring work.
I am a victim of this and my car does exactly like yours. I am saving up to buy a new 13pin gear Does it mean nothing can be done until I get another 13pin gear box? Is yours a Toyota matrix too? Autowiz, Gazuzz, Kashif, I need your expert thoughts as well please |

Neminc: No congrats yet, there will be a rerun between PDP and APC if this result holds because the law says the winner must have over 50% of the votes or else there will be a rerun between the two leading parties You are wrong and I stand to be corrected. The provision of the law is that a winner shall emerge by simple majority of total votes cast, having won 25% of votes cast in two-third of the LGAs in the state, which in this case is 20 out of the 30 LGAs in Osun state. Any winner from APC or PDP has satisfied this provision already. The talk about re-run based on the number of invalid votes is neither here nor there... |
