The prostitutes in Calabar and other parts of Nigeria that people Calabar or tell people they are from Calabar are actually from Akwa ibom. all those gatemen,house girls and house boys all over Nigeria are from Akwa ibom ,not Calabar. Ekaette is ibibo name , not Efik name.
despite the oil wealth and facelift in Uyo , you see many akwa ibom girls prostituting around Nigeria and their men riding okada and doing degrading job. very useless people . everything negative about Calabar was caused by Akwa ibomites . once prestigious areas like Duke Town ,Henshaw Town and most of Calabar South are now ghettos full of useless Akwa ibom miscreants .
