mekaboy:

That mysterious logic remains a mystery after the most educated and sophisticated voted and old less educated man that has repeated double of all the reasons they voted against a southerner.

The subsidy they protested about increased, fuel, unemployment etc. That logic is rather senseless.

The same leader would hail the tormentors of a yoruba son and still honor him. Like a slave master beating the slave and praising him.

Superior argument is that an old man with little or no education, without track record of business or administration , who has never distinguished himself in any field will lead the entire sophisticated and educated race to the promise land.

The restructuring that was the first in the manifesto was thrown in the thrash and you still talking of superior argument?

So superior argument you voted for was that fuel will sell higher under buhari or that unemployment will increase? Is that the argument that got your votes?

I wonder then if it is truly sophistication, ignorance, hypocrisy or cowardice.
Dude, your lamentation will continue till revelation, it's inconsequential. Wetin consign you?
You talk about voting against a southerner when history has shown that igbos has always been the errand boys of the north. The opposition status of the west prior to 2015 was visible to the blind and audible to the deaf while igbos has always been known as AGIP (any government in power). It was on record that igbos were the biggest supporters of Abacha (they even organized a million March in solidarity of his government) while even the chief imam of Kano (Abachas hometown) had reservations conducting Abachas's funeral calling him al-shaitan (Satan). Your master-slave analogy only appeal to failed students of history. You guys change your narratives to suit your lame arguments.
Even at that, voting a corrupt drunken master in the name of southern alliance is myopic. Obasanjo who was even a fellow Yoruba wasn't spared the rod.
At least Yorubas are reaping their support for buhari in form of projects and representation. can that be said of your blind support for GEJ? Tell me one project that Gej gave you guys? Nothing!!!

BTW a General is an equivalent of a professor in the military field, people goes to NDA to study Economics, Mechanical engineering, Administration etc like (if not better) every other conventional tertiary institutions, so calling buhari illetrate only shows your level of illetracy. ( mind you I'm no buhari fan).

Our sophistication is a mystery that even Azikiwe and Ojukwu can't unravel, so who are you to understand? Lol

They have come with Abiola and June 12 to test the yoruba sophistication and education again. Let's watch and see.
I wonder how the political decision of a region affects you. This is democracy where everyone has the liberty to exercise their franchise in whatsoever way they so desire. Trying to blackmail SWterners into following your gullibility in droves calls to question the republican igbo nature in you. Let it be known to you and your ilks that their was never (and their will never be an agreement) between Yorubas and igbos to follow the same route. Our past, fate, future, strategy and ambition are quite different, distinct and unique. weren't even neighbors. Igbos were probably the last tribe the Yorubas came in contact with prior to almagamation.

Yorubas are the only tribe that has shown logic in their voting pattern...fact. That's the reason why the sw vote is always fluid and the major determinant of national election. We have no "blind" friend or foe. We vote base on what suits our future and collective interest.
2019 will reflect this and no amount of propaganda, blackmail or reverse psychology can stop it. Everyone knows we are masters of the above.
Only superior arguments, alignment, manifestos and precedent/ antecedent wins election over here.
We're not anywhere belle face like people up north and those across the Niger.

Easterners are very crude and unrefine, they lack branding. Which Yoruba Christian in his right mind will leave Redeem, winners, deeper life, daystar, house on the rock, harvester, COZA etc, for Chosen or their other esusu mushroom unbranded churches. Even celestial, cherubim and seraphim, CAC/TAC and other 20th century Yoruba churches get better brand and admin pass them.

I'm surprise some gullible Nigerians treasure the reputation of a politician than the blood of 33 people (including pregnant women) that were gruesomely killed by those bloody murderers.
What makes buhari, saraki, osinbajo or any other of our polithiefcians different from those people that were killed. "all men are created equal ", so saraki should go and face the music and stop pressing the mumu buttons of gullible Nigerians.
If PDP or any other party also assume power tomorrow let them try Buhari, tinubu, ameachi etc and send them to jail or firing squad if indicted of any crime.

Seriously I'm getting fed up with you guys perpetual victim mentality. How does the choice of where a govt purchase it mass transit bus translate into hatred? Igbo traders litters every nooks and crannies of the west and they enjoy huge patronage from the Yoruba's or are you guys blind to that?
The fact is you guys cannot be pleased.
If I should get the chance to preside over this country, the first thing I'll do is grant Biafra independence, send every igbo back to their places of origin and build a wall of dermacation between Biafra and the rest of Nigeria.

Chukazu:
You sound very confused

Nike is after quality, and who says they can't get quality in Aba, which quality are they getting in Bangladesh and Burma that they can't get in Nigeria?

The Guinness Nigeria product that are been exported across the globe ; ain't they quality enough?

You talk about Enyimba jersey been made in Aba means you are all the more confused ... if they are made in Aba ,who pays for the sponsorship fees?
The reason Enyimba can not source for jersey from Aba is that they need money that goes along (sponsorship) with the jersey

Is it that difficult to separate sponsorship deal from manufacturing?
If NIKE sets up manufacturing in Aba, they are inadvertently doing "technological transfer" with the abundant artisans in Aba, because they come with machinery and technical know-how...is that beyond your reasoning?

Talk of Enyimba jersey...let me also tell you that the Nigerian military and para-millitary wears are been manufactured in Aba... What other prove of quality do you cry for?
Arguing with you is a vicious cycle, because your reasoning is limited and myopic.
Sit your azz Down and let me tutor you neophyte.
1. Nike is a business oriented company with profit as it ultimate goal, so the development of Aba/Nigeria vis-a-viz other Third World countries is non of their business. So Nike reserves the exclusive right to determine who/where they contract their business to.
2. Please can you name one Tailoring firm in the whole of Aba with the technological know how, ISO certification and Funds to produce sportwears of Nike's specification and standard?
In your words :
"If NIKE sets up manufacturing in Aba, they are inadvertently doing "technological transfer" with the abundant artisans in Aba, because they come with machinery and technical know-how...is that beyond your reasoning?"
3.So you think Nike will come to Nigeria to set up a sportwear manufacturing firm... lol, you don't know nothing. Nike only contract to well established tailoring firms, with the technological capability and capital base across over 41 countries, not some people expecting Nike to set them up.
4. Let them receive the contract to Sew/manufacture Eyimba's sportwears first. At my "last check", Umbro the kit sponsor of Eyimba of ABA did not contract any firm in aba to make their jersey. Charity begins at home. If they cannot be trusted with the kit of a local club how can they be entrusted with that of a national team?
5. Manufacturing of military wears is quite different from sportwears for clubs and national teams.
Most countries produces their military wears but only few countries (even developed countries) produces their sportwears.

I hope I've lectured you enough.

You lack comprehensive reasoning.

Did Ben Bruce ask that NIKE be compelled?

and who says they can't make profit if they manufacture from Aba?

The biggest comparative advantage Nike is looking for is cheap labor and don't they have cheap labor in Nigeria?
Boy, stop arguing blindly. Who/Where a company contract it business to is non of your business. Who are you to decide for Nike mbok?
Nike is not only after cheap labor but after quality. Nike have a name to protect. A disorganized, Fake/counterfeit oriented, non quality certified Aba tailors earning a contract from Nike is daydreaming.
Let Aba tailors start by kitting Eyimba FC in their backyard first, then we can take them serious.

Oga you misfiring.

NIKE , ADIDAS ,PUMA sports wears are made in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Burma... which of these countries are better than Nigeria?

There's a difference between domestication (local manufacturing) of product and sponsorship of a team.
Lolzzz... Nike, Adidas etc. are business firms after profit making, they're not responsible for the development of Nigeria. who/where they contract the sewing and manufacturing of their sportwears to is solely their prerogative.
Sponsoring/kitting Nigeria doesn't compel them to contract their production to some Aba boys without a corporate tag or ISO certification.
Even Eyimba FC of ABA no dey use Aba designers... lol, they're being kitted by Umbro (England).
Your Arguments lack common sense.

1. If Nike can sew the jerseys in the the Philippines or wherever, they can contract them to be sewn in Nigeria as well.

2. It is not the role of Aba tailors to sponsor the National Team.

3. That Ben Bruce is guilty of double standards does not negate the truth of his assertion.
Nike should also contract the sewing of jerseys to the Localities of all the THOUSANDS of Clubs and National Teams they're sponsoring too abi? your argument lacks logic. It's the prerogative of Nike to decide their contractors. I can't tell you how to run your business.
Ben Bruce has no knowledge of sports merchandise and marketing, hence he should keep shut and stop making public mockery of himself.

Which epic response is that huh

People that just read two lines and jump to conclusions

What Bruce is saying is that, it could be manufactured in Nigeria, Aba to be precise

We have the man-power

It's not impossible, it a bargain that can be struck if the Federal government played their cards very well

Any government that is thinking of developing Nigeria's economy should know that!

It's common sense undecided
You're a lady, so I guess you know little or nothing about sport merchandise.
Even far developed countries either opt for Nike or Adidas, puma, unbro, Reebok or other well known sport designers. In the world of football wears, its Nike, Adidas and the rest.
No up coming companies can beat them in sponsorships. And in sporting world it's all about the money and not some primordial sentiments or lame analysis you're trying to put up.

Ben Bruce should learn to keep shut on issues that he lacks knowledge of.

Tell me why SW will not give block vote to PMB in 2019?

Lagos-Ibadan road is progressing fast
Lagos-Ibadan rail line is moving at very fast speed
SW has Class A ministers in this Exco and they are doing wonderfully well.

Let PDP look to the SS/SE for their votes, nothing for them in the SW, NW, NE and even NC (to a lesser degree).

PMB till 2023.

After that, PYO or BAT will take over. grin grin grin grin

With this rate of development in the SW and with the fact that a Buhari presidency till 2023 is the easiest route to Yoruba presidency come 2023, Buhari will definitely have more vote in 2019 than 2015 in the SW.
