Assume this Dadin Kowa power plant operates all year round and never powers down, then 40MW*365days/year * 24hours/day =350400MWH/year is the CAPACITY FACTOR of the power plant. Since 1MWH is equivalent to 1000KWH => the plant will produce 3504000 * 1000 = 350400000KWH/year. Assume a per person energy consumption of 7200KWH then 350400000KWH/7200KWH yields approx. 48667 persons to benefit. Assume an average person/family of 5 persons, this yields 48667/5 = 9733 households to benefit. Allowing for 30% diversity =>9733/0.30=32444 HOUSEHOLDS.This plant will serve 10000 to 32000 homes and NOT 2MILLION HOMES!
