Lush100: Dear Gazzuzz and other auto gurus, I got to my car to drive off to work yesterday morning
I always do routine check b4 starting. I noticed the 2 droplet spot of oil just below the engine region. This is the first time I am seeing since I traveled 6 times on Lagos-ibadsn express way during this lockdown.(some portion of the road are very bad for plying cars and tried to reduce speed to avoid thing like this) I have checked my oil level of my engine oil and gear oil. Both still within range. Servicd the car on Feb 29 hence it was due for servicing on may 29(3 month gap). However with this I intend servicing it earlier with a week or two. There are currently no Unusual check light on dashboard. Pls based on ur experience what's do you forsee I look out for and what's ur advice. Would appreciate any informed inputs sirs and ma's. Car is Toyota Corolla sport 2006 and engine is 1zzfe. Pictures attached. Cc: radautoworks Make sure to find source of leak first. |

Bigleaf1006: Lockdown will still be extended beyond the proposed date but movement will be relaxed, it has already been unofficially relaxed.
Govt will never want to take responsibility for the uncertainty of this pandemic. If they tell u to go out then things take a bad turn with more people contracting the virus and more death,so u won't blame government.
It's now more of u can go out if you like but protect yourself, u are on ur own sha! ! If u catch am EXACTLY! |

Also, remember that misconception you guys had about younger people not getting it? Look at the distribution graph.

When would the shop open its doors? We're discussing but probably not for another couple of weeks and even then with string operations. Until I'm reasonably sure my staff will have a safe commute I'm not opening. |

BAZ001: Ma but WHO says we should wear mask , sanitizer and avoid touching our face to protect us from getting infected. I also want to ask What of doctors and ncdc staffs that wear only N95 mask ? Are you saying they are not protected?
https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public/when-and-how-to-use-masks Entry points are eyes, nose and mouth. The mask's only protective purpose is to keep you from touching those areas. Washing hands is the most effective protective measure. I can give you evidence if you want after I'm done with breakfast |

Carshopper: Concerning line, I have come to understand people use the face mask wrongly or the face mask gotten is not of the right material (I have been researching on use of face mask)
When using face mask 1. Do not always adjust the face mask - any time u touch your face mask wash hands or sanitize immediately
2. When removing your face mask, don't pull from d front, pull off ur face masks from the elastic bands
3. Face masks use is roughly 8hours interval then change (from experts)
4. For homemade face masks, materials should be very good ones with additional filter layer (helps control small and large droplets from escaping or entering)
Pls add more if you know any One thing to add. Face masks are not to protect you from catching it. They are to stop you from spreading it |

oluwaseunla: Viruses replicate by locking to the host cell, and taking over the host entire systems after a process of lysis. The host will naturally react to viral invasion by producing antibodies. Antibodies try to make the above process difficult by binding to the surface of the virus in an attempt to prevent attachment to the host cell. If it cannot attach, the virus cannot penetrate the cell, and replication won't take place. This is a natural evolutionary pressure on the virus.
In process of viral mutation, what mostly happens is that the component of that outer coat of the virus changes structure. Since most antibodies work by a "lock and key" kind of mechanism, if the coat of the virus changes, that specific antibody becomes useless. This process is also vital to the survival of the virus. Every organism wants to survive, just like you and me.
Most RNA viruses are generally more prone to mutation because in their replication process, there is no "proofreading and correction", as found in DNA viruses. Mutation is just a way to ensure their organism line survives. As you must have guessed COVID is a RNA virus along with HIV and influenza. In the face of threat, they simply reconfigure their outer coat and keep re infecting.
So yes, despite being non living, they can mutate and adapt. I must talk this time. Make you dey quote your sources na |
