What I think will play out in ucap.The allotment of new shares will likely happen next yr.The new shares will not benefit from this yr financial gain..The good financial from this yr will likely push the price to #20 after allotment. It is now left for next yr financial to see if it can sustain that price going forward after dilution

I doubt if the allotment will reach next year. These people have reason for what they did, and I don't think they will wait that long. Just look at the daily trading pattern.

An event such as these protests, if they do affect the market, usually affect the whole market and not individual stocks. So it will not be specific to UCAP.

My dividend landed today.

Congrats. Mine is yet to come. I emailed them and said they were working on it.

After its bonus shares are allocated I believe UCAP will be traders' gold mine due to its significantly increased liquidity.

In the absence of any new news the next support level for Oando is #19.50.

This is essentially a stock split masquerading as a bonus issue. Bonus issues do not impact the stock price. The exchange should use a less confusing term to avoid misleading investors. There is a distinct difference between a stock split and a bonus issue. The recent action by UCAP, changing 1unit at N31 to 3 units at N11, is technically not a bonus but rather a stock split.

Don't worry they are bringing the price back up.

Looks like smart money is moving out of Oando in early trades.

Now that Dangote and the government have come to an agreement on how to feed the refinery with crude, those "enemies of the people", the oil marketers association, will be doing their meeting to design how to make it all come to nothing for the consumers. I just hope Dangote will go further and establish his own petrol stations.

It's the DangRice that is the issue. A friend knowledgeable in the rice processing biz in Kano told me that there is a serious shortage of paddy rice for milling in the country. This may be affecting the Dangote rice mills also. Hopefully Dangote has mobilized this rainy season to secure enough paddy from farmers.

I think it's a normal evolution of the market. Eventually all companies will pay interim dividends. You know the optimal as in advanced markets is payment of dividend quarterly.

I believe Transcorp is going to do a share reconstruction of 1 for 4. This should be a major consideration if you want to buy.

I think I now see another reason why one may want to delist. If you want to make a stupendous amount of money away from public scrutiny then a publicly listed company is not the answer.

I only gave a link to what I read elsewhere to inform. You can say your own. The truth will eventually come out. Whether it's a company or a project I think what people want to know is does it belong to some Nigerians, and if so who?
