The rule only says the highest price at which the shares were traded over the 6 months prior to the AGM. It does not distinguish between intra-day or closing price.
Thanks. I am sure this will be debated in the event of voluntary delisting

Who are the emotional people?

We have been having a wonderful conversation in the past.
Good morning all. I want to second Oga Emma on the fact that the conversation is wonderful. I am personally leaning a lot. We should encourage healthy debate which if properly done should not lead to insults. If one properly argued one's case they should be understood from the direction they are coming from.

What I have gathered from all sides is that:

i) From financial reports so far released by OANDO, technically, a normal path is recapitalization by the injection of more capital and not more debt.

ii) The company has added more potential sources of revenue that with time should turn the finances around, and this may start to show in still to be released financial reports. However, these additional sources of revenue were acquired with more debt that may rather compound the problems.

iii) There is scepticism, fear and distrust of the majority ownership, throwing doubt in their future actions. This is based on prior experiences of their past actions.

iv) However, some also have confidence that things will come out ok in the long run.

I personally do not find any of the arguments totally unacceptable.

Oando's price got to N49 per share before it dropped on the same day to N40 on the NGX. The peak/highest price it ever got to within six months prior to the AGM is what will be paid to shareholders if they decide to delist within the next 6 months .
We have witnessed and overcome the worst days of Oando which is in the past already.
Don't they use closing price? N49 was intra day.

I won't advice you to make it a long term play until the picture is clearer, enjoy the capital appreciation and remember to book profit.

The company will be recapitalized and i won't be surprised if the current holders will own 5% of the recapitalized business

Check out the shareholders fund @ almost negative N200 billion
Please what can make those cowboys sign off that company?

Hello @Bagwa

You seem to have taken a 'break' since Monday.

Trust you're good... smiley
Last time I saw him was when Oando was on full bid and he was looking for someone with 10k to 20k units to sell, probably for a client. Perhaps he has now gotten it cheaper.

This is good one. That means they are working hard to generate enough revenue to sustain the diluted OS going forward
And we don't know yet what they will do with the #6bn they got from the bonus

Resistance you mean?
If you are considering the last 5 trading days since it levels off support and resistance are almost same. The 5-day EMA is 15.6. It may go horizontal from here until insiders get to know what the Q3 results look like.

It's that same moniker crying upandan that time, that he bought OANDO but was going down.....
God silenced him and his co-supporters thereafter....
He'll still silence them again.... smiley

If you may ask, where's this moniker coming from all these while?
Hmm..

Debt to NOPAT of 2 or Debt to FCF of 3 or less is ideal.

Debt to NOPAT of Dangote is less than 2, Debt to NOPAT of over 4 for BUA
Thanks. So Dangote is ok BUA is not. What of WAPCO?

Most of these companies run on debt, which has been a source of funding for a long time and did not start today. The question is whether these long-term debts will be subject to the new interest rates. I think we should focus more on what they pay as interest and what is left for shareholders afterward. In Nigeria, it seems debt is not a huge problem as long as there are positive cash flows and also positive FCF.
In layman's language can't we just compare the companies' Debt-to-Revenue ratios rather than the absolute debt values?

I follow the stocks on the radar of some of the big stockbroking that have a strong research team.

I remember sending a mail to the research team of Meristem about 3 years ago on why United Capital was not on their radar.

I gave my reasons on why they needed to research into the stock.

Four months after, United Capital was on their radar and became one of their stock picks.
Please how do I get on United Capital's mailing list? I don't have them as my brokers but I am a shareholder of UCAP.

FBNH AGM rescheduled from 22nd August to 3rd September. That means dividend will not be paid as earlier proposed for 23rd August shocked
Is it not this their boardroom squabbles and court cases causing this? Not sure they will allow this bank to recapitalize.

Bonus is much more easier for them to allocate.
They just add it directly to your CSCS account,.and you'll see it in your CSCS statement.
Thanks. Now just a matter of when. Hope Tony needs it as badly.

Hope they not do this kind of wahala when it comes to allocating the bonus shares.
It's a Northern Bank and that's the bitter truth

Maybe with the presence of PROVIDUS it will have a southern face
I can't answer that as Mr Time has that answer but it won't be long

My brother if you have spare funds just leave it in UNITY at #1+ you won't regret it if you play your games well...

This government means it this time on UNITY as they won't want to offend the north

DD always
I know it will be very hard to convince some people, especially those with views you seem to have, that Unity has since ceased to be a northern bank. The gist is that it was bought by infact a South Easterner through proxies, and that man, being very influencial in this govt, is instrumental in having CBN bail out the bank. Now having been merged with a southern bank the stigma of being a northern bank should be finally removed.

I understood that your "Common Sense" strategy is FA based somehow....
I however will say, SA wise this stock CWG and Ikeja Hotels are promising, may not be now, but there's something that will come up along the line to make them attractive to investors.
Financial wise, there are lots of improvements Q-on-Q

For CWG, from 5 and below, I think it should be good for accumulation.......barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Good morning Myc. You are up early and working as usual. I wish I can learn to do that.

Please what is causing the low liquidity of CWG compared to others like CHAMS?
