There is a difference between those who made money from business and those who made money from politics.

Those who made money from business and investment are doing a better work passing the knowledge and values compared to the other group.

My opinion though
The worst case is civil servants. They can't take their children to work and teach them anything. They can only send them to school and only God knows how they will turn out. They see money with you and they don't know what you did to get it so they think they don't have to do anything in life.

Hope you also heard of Afroil Oil. A company in the petroleum marketing sector. Other stocks in the sector like Oando, Mobil, African Petroleum, MRS etc were over N100.

Afroil was the only one selling for 50k, the stock later moved to over N8.00. Even though it could pay it's rent for about 3 years and no dividend for almost 10 years

Insiders were surprised by the renewed interest in their company by the investing community and that gave them the opportunity to sell their shares which used to be highly illiquid
Actually when I heard (need to verify this) that Japaulgold is yet to mine any gold the saga of Afroil came to mind.

Atiku has not affected anything here . No be everything be politics .

Nnpc withdrew their case 2 months ago .

Based on how their Jvs are structured NNPC went to court claiming they have the right of first refusal which they were not given an opportunity to exercise.
I am referring to the fact that it was Atiku's comments that forced them to quickly come out and explain themselves to the public. That's what opposition is supposed to achieve.

I can only see one scenario that will drop it to N4.0, and that is if it is announced that Ote is fed up and is pulling out.

H. E. Alhaji AA is actually challenging the takeover of NNPC Retail by OVH Marketing.

There will always be bad press until things stabilize financially with OandO. That's why every news about OandO is a 'bull news""' grin

OandO-NAOC deal looks fair (bar the funding)...
This controversy can never go away. Do you know that the "O" in OVH stands for Oando, and that there is a statement on OVH's logo which says "an Oando licensee"? If Oando has divested completely from OVH why has the name not changed?

I believe for the next 3 to 7 years Oando and the Tinubu government will be like Siamese twins fused at the head. Whatever happens to Oando will be seen as a favor from the government.
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 7:33pm On Aug 25, 2024
Let's hope they will allow Oando to close above 50 tomorrow despite likely profit taking at that psychological target price.

Point of clarification grin : Riding the Oando bus does not automatically make you an Oandobite. Oandobites are those who incessantly chatter about it out of fear. They invest too much emotionally, causing themselves great pain at any dip. If you approach riding sensibly, you clearly don't fall into this category. grin grin shocked
Correction noted.

Get a lawyer with experience in Business law to explain this to you
These are legal statements that normally accompany these kinds of company announcements. It is almost a cut paste. The statements are design to cover as much as possible all loopholes for future litigation against the company.

Very easy on paper. Thst is why no fund manager can consistently be the fund manager of the for 3 consecutive years

Something must Sha happen
Let them try. This is what Excel spreadsheet does to people. You put a formula, copy down a series of numbers, and bam a #1m turns into #128m in few number of years on paper.

Nope sir, not same stock all the way to 128 sir., rollover stock to stock. Cash out at each bus stop and eye the next entry. The only challenge I have had in the past with this is that once it’s over 50mil, you may need to split into a couple with equal potential. Will always cash out sir. Same principle you have taught here over the years just with some adjustments…..instead of waiting years, I just hit and move to another stock…..honestly sometimes you could cover 3 moves in a year.
Sounds similar to the semi scalping technique I am using. Difficulty is to stay disciplined and avoid getting trapped. Still liquidity is a huge constraint.

100% return on a consistent basis for 8 year?

You go wound, not when the portfolio gets to N5 million and above, then the liquidity of the stock bought
You are right. The bigger the capital gets the harder to double. You also forgot market and economic cycles.

CBN should be fast with their protocols so that banks' results can start dropping abeg... This market needs a little ginger
I think SEC and NGX need to meet with the CBN on the timing of CBN's approval of banks' results. The delays are making nonsense of market regulations. The banks need the market to raise capital. CBN should know this and help banks meet market regulations.
