MARKETJJC: There is certainly something serious and big behind. 1.6billion done already within 30mins. Sellers dey, buyers dey I think it is normal market phenomenon. When a stock is on bid for 3 to 4 days with a lot of bullish sentiment around there will a backlog of buy orders. If smart money then decides to take profits you will have huge volumes traded in a short time, usually at market open. |

Choiceguy: This constant shifting of dangote refinery PMS sales nawoo. I think they are still trying to marry the inevitable existence of the refinery with the various oil sector cabals and the government's oil revenue in flow and fuel subsidy system. This is what you get in a country that doesn't plan. Ideally we should have started adjusting for the coming on stream of the refinery at least two years ago. |

MARKETJJC: Yes, I learnt there is in house consideration first before out house. For example, Morgan capital will sell to their customers that are on the queue first and only consider others from other brokers if there is no customer of theirs that is in the line. So the rule is sell to house first before other houses, so that all the commissions( buy and sell) will be in your purse. So it is possible to see someone at number 15 filled before someone at number 1, in that case the seller is from the same house as number 15 while number 1 is from different house. This is my toddler understanding of why and if Thanks. This is consistent with my observations too. |

BabsO2: Looks more like a strategic buyer or portfolio manager or market maker mopping up available offers.
With 11,753,208 units changing hands in 268 trades that is an average of 43,855 units per transaction. Average transaction cost at N43.3 going rate for today is N1.9 million.
OANDO is surely one of the most liquid stocks on the NGX over the last 2 years.
Picture below: Bids on queue before trade open today at 10am not yet filled on the left. And currently executed trades on the right. Is it also possible that a broker with sell orders from one client can sell to another of his clients no matter where that client's order is in the queue. I got some units sold to me today even though I was not at the top of the queue. I am suspecting that maybe those shares came from my broker. |

megawealth01: Which recovery
It depends on the price you bought sha... Many people here are on more than 200% even when it got to that 29+ on Friday...
Everyone dey happy now... Small pullback fight go start When a stock dips from #49 down to #29 in 5 days and immediately moves back up to #39 in 3 days it is called a V-shaped recovery in my dictionary. It has no relationship to where the price was before the dip or whether or not some made 200% before then. |

ositadima1: Transcorp's 2023 Free Cash Flow to Equity (FCFE) per share was 0.93 (please do ur own calc. here), and they are paying out 0.2 as dividends. It's important to note that FCFE represents the free cash available to shareholders after all expenses and reinvestment needs have been met.
When I plugged the 0.93 FCFE into my Monte Carlo simulation, it produced a valuation range of 11.98 to 24.13. Based on this FCFE analysis and discounted valuation, I believe the stock is undervalued.
I would target a mean of 17 naira. We now have your FA and TA from Oga BBM. What is missing is a consideration of market sentiments. That's what I tried to add to the TA. The sentiment around Transcorp in the short term is influenced by the proposed share reduction or consolidation of 1:4. The price is not going anywhere until that is done. |

I strongly believe they will survive the forex loss tide as DS, MTN and PZ all will. MTN is not going anywhere. This is their biggest market. |

emmanuelewumi: Why didn't you do it in phases. Eg complete 4 flats start earning income, then do another 4 flats.
I will advise you to complete what you have started. Thanks. I have considered finishing in phases and that's what I will most likely do. But do you realize that aspects such as landscaping, fence and gate house, water and electricity connections are common to all phases and have to all be done before you can complete the first phase? By the time you do those completing the other phases becomes easy. |

Streetinvestor2: Go complete it because you have gone far.If you leave it as abandoned building. You will be surprised in the next 10yrs you have not finished it.I am talking from expirence. Even if you decide to go back after making money from nse.You will still see more opportunity here with better return. Then after long you will not have interest to even put a dime in it.Finish then you can then decide to sell it Don't try abandoning it to come back unless you don't have fund. You won't believe when I start mine it was sliding windows was the thing.I stopped without doing interior. Now how do I start changing to casement. I leave the thing go start new thing.I don't even know what to do with that particular building again. And to sell now.it will be price at serious discount I do relate to your situation. I also took some years to reach it's current stage and already some of the external features, such as the concrete facial roof design, are out of date. Thanks for the advice. |

Mankind2024: I undertook a self-directed research project to investigate the hype surrounding real estate, with Abuja as my case study. The results revealed that financial market returns surpass those of real estate. Furthermore, purchasing land with a Certificate of Occupancy (CofO) is a more prudent decision than embarking on a real estate project with expectations of liquidity returns. The stresses associated with building construction cannot be overstated. While it may have been a lucrative venture in the past, financial assets are now the primary objective. Indeed, had you invested the initial funds in financial assets, you could likely purchase a completed building using the proceeds from those investments. Thanks. I agree 💯. But the reality now is that the building is there and a decision needs to be made on if it is wise to complete it. |

emmanuelewumi: Actually sold my late grandma's house in January 2023.
I used my share to buy Nahco, United Capital, Dangote Sugar and Presco after rigourous research and analysis.
After buying those stocks, I then used them as collateral security which I used to buy dollar at less than N700 which was invested in United Capital Eurobond fund
I have grown my fund more than 250% within 20 months May I ask your advice on my real estate project? I have been building a block of 12 flats in a large State capital city at one of the most prime locations in the city. The current value of sunk costs including land is at least N400m given the recent inflation. As of today I need about N100m to N150m to complete it. It will fetch about N24m net in rent per year. I plan to complete in two years. Do you advice me to keep investing in it or abandon it and use the money in the capital market? For various reasons I can't sell the place. One of the reasons is that it will sell at huge discount as an uncomplicated building. |
