how myopic. The british will not hesitate to cast you when you gawk. Na dt time you go know say khaki no be kpomo. |
I totally agree. The biggest travesty is that most people don't even realize that the distribution and generation functions of phcn now run as private companies. unfortunately, I know a community that's not had power for 3 months now because the people there have refused to contribute to fix their transformer. smh. |
All these bloggers sef. Una no fit see pix of man and woman without tagging it pre-wedding all in the name of traffic. Trolling the internet to bully people is wrong. |
Op, what's his offence? Burying charms or visiting his ex-gf? What if the charms are for her protection? Lol. |
Mbaise again! Methinks the real issues underlying this fracas go beyond religion and ego. The subtext reads political power and money. These two things will make men deny God. I hope they find a peaceful resolution soon. |
oladeebo:It's 'NEEDLE' my friend. Please add that to your vocabulary, and while you're at it, work on your tenses. Once again, I don't need to prove anything to anyone, most especially you. |
oladeebo:It's so easy to spot small minds. I don't need to broadcast my accomplishments for your approval. Let's call a spade what it is. The bitter truth is that this piece of news isn't worth the hype. If you disagree, tell me what the value of these models are? There are others doing more socially beneficial things who need the attention. |
There's nothing super about this. We need to learn to stop celebrating mediocrity in this country. These are nice sculptures, nothing more. Its ridiculous the way other countries mock the way we celebrate these things. Where are the inventors? Those are the guys we need to promote. |
Kung fu boss and gidigbo staff. I wish the gentleman a speedy recovery. I hope he gets another job soon. 3m go finish quickly- I hope the lawyer's fees aren't included in the 3m. |
This is stupidity of the highest order! Do they know they are admitting to commission of crimes they can be charged for? Well, since the man has admitted to forgery and conspiracy, he should first be arrested and prosecuted by the Police while investigations are made into the allegations against others. Let him pay for his crimes, the truth will come out at last. |
Affidavit started as "I" and ended as "We"... If you ask me, na who i go ask? |
All these professional students tho! They never learn. Any student who favors tenure elongation in school needs his/her brain examined. Student protests should be more cerebral. |
This is a sad story. There's nothing funny about rape or a man evicting his wife. It's really sad. |
Rather than turn him into a martyr, government has decided to let people see Mr Kanu in his full glory. The man has a right to freedom of expression, no matter whoever disagrees with him. That's real human rights. Its now up to government to convince Nigerians to fight for Nigeria. |
mearsk:True bro. A plot is not a standard measurement by any means, that's why plot sizes vary from place to place. In general, the word plot is used as a reference to m2. In Lagos, its usually 60 x 120. In Abuja, its 100 x 100. When negotiating land transactions, limit your discussions to accurate sizes and measurements to avoid stories that touch. One man's plot is another man's garden. |
Prof, great work here sir. Please I use a Sumec Firman Eco 8990 purchased about 3 years ago. Sometime ago the gen would only run smoothly with the choke half open, and surge when fully open. Recently, the gen started surging at half choke, it still surges at full choke. I did some DIY carb cleaning through the air filter manifold and the surging reduced at half choke. What do you think is the issue? Dirty carb? The carburetor hasn't been opened before. |
azimibraun:Did you even read or understand my post before rushing to comment? Why you no go yarn off point? The story is still developing, the acts were carried out across State lines, the guy was arrested by a Federal Task Force of the Nigerian Police. The prosecution may be Federal or State or a combination of both or even all. In case you don't get my point, I'll break it down for you son: The headline and story are misleading. The headline presumes that the Bill was just signed when in fact it had been signed earlier this year. The story also erroneously does not take all the angles into consideration especially considering the fact that other States have enacted the same law since 2016. This means that if Lagos wants a piece of the action under that law, they are only restricted to acts carried out after the law came into force. That's not news, Vanguard is doing you a disservice by shoving that story in your face, you need to raise your standards a little. PS: Keep your compliment, I know my mental capabilities, you should focus on developing yours. |
ApostleJSuleman:You are correct that the Federal High Court is higher on the hierarchy. Unfortunately, that does not affect the criminal jurisdiction of the Magistrate Court. It is therefore possible to try the same person for different offences simultaneously at the Magistrate Court and the Federal High Court. That seems to be exactly what happened in this case. In fact, you will remember that she was first arrested and charged to the magistrate court after which she was granted bail before she was again arrested and charged before the FHC on different charges. |
Vanguard and nonsense news.. Even a secondary school student knows that a person cannot be tried under a law that did not exist when the infraction was committed. Nevertheless, if the stories we read are true then there is enough evidence to slam him with maximum sentences for homicide, kidnapping, attempted murder, aggravated assault with intent, extortion, armed robbery, conspiracy, false imprisonment and whole list of offences that will secure like 4 life sentences with hardest labor. In essence, we should have update the penalties for kidnapping and new crimes. |
ApostleJSuleman:She did not meet her bail conditions, that's what failing to "perfect her bail" means. So its either she jumped bail or there was an error on her part that led to the court having to revoke the bail. Its that simple. The fact that she is facing one set of charges at the Federal High Court does not automatically invalidate another set of charges against her at the Magistrate Court. It seems that she chose to ignore the Magistrate Court case after she had been released on bail. Let's try to understand things first before jumping into the fray. |
qualityovenbake:Me sef weak. |
There's so much thats wrong with this story, I don;t even know where to start from. The news is not just that the guy was drinking sperm, but this guy was giving handjobs to grown men who were very conscious!! And the last one casted the perv because the guy didn't come quickly!! This is too much walahi. |
LarryBeryl:The occupation needs an upgrade desperately. Better teachers means better schools. Better schools mean better education. Better education means better students. Better students means a better workforce and so on... |
Naija... more emphasis on money than on professionalism. |
Lol. Pure beef. I can't imagine how this thread made the front page. Just a bland allegation, no foundation, no background, no context, just beer parlor yarns. Carry on. While we're on the topic of Nigerian tertiary education, our educational policies have not advanced much since the 50s and 60s. Whats even worse is the fact that our ivory towers have become the mental prisons with almost no innovation or creativity. As Pius Adesanmi said, our society is a reflection of our universities. |
This is a bad joke. She claims he's not rich and she has never seen his money yet they have 3 suvs and 20m was transferred to her account in Ghana. They embark on trips to SA and Dubai but they're not rich. Story for the birds. |
This is a valuable piece of history |
It is obvious that the more prosperous States will naturally attract more crime. I think you find a different sort of crime in the poorer states, plus there's a very high probability that these crimes are unreported or settled internally without recourse to the official channels. |
Its shocking that this level of tribalism exists among the ibos, and even more shocking that its the cause of division within the Catholic Church. |
Its not just about the business model, you also have to look at the earning pattern. Any business where the earnings from a network-based business model exceed the earnings from the actual business is not only unsustainable, it is a bubble waiting to burst. |
Once a certificate of recall is issued by INEC, the Senator ceases to exist as a Senator. The action of the Senate President is a mere formality. I'm sure the aim of this move is to make Dino sit up. Mek we dey look. |
seniorkachion:Paste tribal marks? What does that mean? I've experienced riots in the north and in the south, I've seen Northerners and Southerners suffer collateral damage. The reason is because these riots are politically motivated. Religion and race are fronts. |
