What the heck? And someone sat down somewhere in one lungu to compose this story as news. Odiegwu |
This is what you get when your CBN Governor is a stooge. Only in Nigeria, Depositors pay to lodge funds with banks, only for the banks to invest the money and keep the profits. What a shame! |
Lilyqueeny:These are actually excellent choices. Any other matches would be suicide. |
Which kain news be dis? They petitioned MDCN for what? |
I understand the need to share moral values but should these values be based on unfounded stories? This story, if found to be false will distract people from the very enlightening message. |
From a legal point of view, Falana cited legal authorities where the courts have pronounced judgments on these issues. Ozekhome was dancing around like a bohemian jigaboo, this does not detract from his right to hold an opinion, even if its wrong. On this one, full marks awarded to Falana. Mike will have to resit. |
tolugar:Lmaooo! After all na Central Bank Gomina sef |
Food is ready. The Yorubas say "ile oba to jo, ewa lo bu si". Not only must government pay for this gross infringement, the perpetrators must also be punished to the full extent of the law. How d you seize someone's property, slam him with an outrageous bill, destroy the property, make a half-assed attempt at restitution and then turn around to assault the man and have him locked up in a cell. The so-called director must lose his job for this. |
DonLo:This is by far one of the most sincere, well-reasoned and well thought-out posts I have read on Nairaland in recent times. You hit the nail on the head kpakam! |
No cents or dollars. What of Kobo and Naira? Meanwhile, I salute Dr. Kukah |
ReneeNuttall:Well said. If this story from "TrueLies" is true, then its probably half the tale. At the end of the day, just be true to yourself, because you alone know what truly transpired. |
Something is wrong somewhere... Hilarious? Why is this even considered attention-worthy? smh |
I thought this matter had died down... I'm so shocked at the venom and hate being spewed out at this girl and her family by christians so-called. Haba, if the case is in court, let the law take its course. All parties are obviously waging a media war against each other. If the girl lied or not, the truth will come out at the end of the day. The way the Apostle's followers sound makes his church seem like a cult. |

I think the ball is now in the court of the man's family and church members. All the ladies 'coming out' should either be ready to file formal complaints or hold their peace. If the guy didn't rape or molest them then the affairs were consensual, meaning they knew what they were getting in for and from all accounts they were well paid. Mek we rest abeg. |
No matter what he may be doing wrong or may have done wrong, this is not how to treat someone who has represented the country. Choi |
Toks2008:Aha! I withdraw my innuendo. A prior marriage and divorce are sufficient qualifications to write on the topic. In Africa, especially in the subsaharan region, marriage isn't just the union of one man and one woman. It's the combination of communities, tribes and clans. You know the saying that 'it takes a village to raise a child'. When that child is to wed, every foster parent will seek to participate... The western approach is definitely simpler and cheaper. |
Interesting words... written by a single gentleman. |
I like FFK, but only weed can be responsible for joining these dots and making these connections. |
Where is the uproar? Disagreements will arise in a multifarious system. Why does our media rely on exaggeration to sell papers? |
Its wrong, yes. We've been hearing these reports since the school opened up. Nothing has changed. Those who go to the school know what they're going in for from the outset. They should pay the price of learning. |
This is so wrong- we are slaves to certificates in this country. Alex Ferguson a high school dropout lectures at Harvard Business School. Ditto for Zuckerberg. John Legend and Kanye West are visiting professors. This is because those systems recognize that value is not obtained by certificates. If the only reason for this disciplinary action is the lack of certification and not just incompetence then the Governor has no business in that office. The proper thing to do is confirm that they are competent and then allow them to take the necessary certification exams. Otherwise all the State's investments in back-pay have been lost. Same goes for any talented teacher among them. |

And so the story goes... Now we have to get to the bottom of this. |
I'm not gonna say more than that we now have 3 different stories from 3 sources now and none of them is making sense. Even this account no add up sef. Keyamo hasn't spoken yet though. I'm not a fan of Apostle Sule but I hope this isn't true. Whether true or false, there will be a reckoning. |
Great stuff! This is a really interesting development. I'm excited hearing about young people being proactive. My only prayer is that the court should not hide behind locus standi. Please keep us informed. |
Lol @her excellency! Nice joke, that one got me good. ![]() |
dabraska:Brotherly, my answer to your poser is simple. If the law does not recognize something, that makes it illegal. My final question for you is: If the law does not recognize Prcan as a 'regulator', why should you? And why should you force others to join in? |
dabraska:Bro, I'm speaking from a place of knowledge. I served you with facts. The only authority recognized by law is the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Professionals aka NIPR. I figured you'd come up with the bye-law story. I'm not sure you saw what I posted. prcan is a company. Only a law made by the National Assembly or State House of Assembly can create a regulatory organization. You can ask any lawyer. Finally, we all have a duty to hold our administrative bodies to account at all times. The guys at NIPR aren't infallible, they're human beings who are prone to mistakes. It is the duty of members to ensure that they stay within the limits of the law otherwise all their actions will amount to nothing. Ive gone through the pains to type this long message so you can better understand my point. My firm has clients bro and im not interested in PRCAN. ps. Before you respond, please speak to a lawyer about these issues. |
dabraska:Don't be ignorant man. Perhaps you are confused by my grammar. Prcan is a limited by guarantee company with rc no 692594. It is not established by law, although as a registered company, it is recognized by law. Since it is not established by law, they don't have the powers they currently claim to possess. Maybe you can tell us what law establishes Prcan? Please state the Act. NIPR is created by an Act- prcan is not. To further dispel your ignorance, prcan is just a registered company. My brother, you should get your facts straight. I have mine. These are the discrepancies some of us in the industry are complaining about. Be well guided. |
Its wrong for Christians to think that praise and worship only happens at the beginning of church service. We've got it so wrong that people think slow songs are worship and fast songs are praise. In fact, we're so selfish, the so-called praise and worship session is often a ploy to 'soften' the ground in order to place demands for more money, more cars, more everything etc. We don't even pay attention to the lyrics of the songs we sing. We focus so much on 'feeling' good, and 'getting' there, and that's neither praise nor worship. God help us. |
pesinfada:Ur frustration is noted. Unfortunately, no one can help your inferiority complex. Pathetic soul. |
