The decision to perform a medical or not solely depends on you. No one can make that decision for you. Also note that one thing i have noticed with canadian immigration is that what works for one might not work for the other. I stood to loose nothing. Is it not just mail? I got the documents and attached them, wrote them a mail and sent it. And it worked. So the choice is yours. Instead of waiting, it wont be a bad idea to do a medical, send it, send the exemption mail. Its free. Worst case, they will tell you that you are not eligible. They cant deny you for sending the mail. My thoughts though. Adeneyo001: |

It doesn't matter if you create a new account or old one. I used my own account. My friend created a new one and still got approved. blcoolfemol: |

Ladies and gentlemen, its here. Just to lift the spirit of others. Its PPR Applied July 9th Biometrics request July 10th. Biometrics done August 31st. Upfront medicals done on same August 31st and sent via mail and webform on September 3rd, on September 4th, cic account updated to medical passed. Since then no update. Sent a mail for covid-19 exemption as advised here. Sent promotion letter with new salary at work place. Sent in updated/renewed study permit. Boom, Nov 6th, BVL, Covid 19 exemption letter and PPR all dropped in 5mins interval. Thanks to @Opemipo21 and my special buddy @hayqinsbFX, brother from another mother. We have known since our study permit days in 2015. We just chat to console ourselves. I also wish you a favorable and positive processing in your spouse's application. Kindly note that i applied for gcms, both didnt show anything significant. Infact the last one came on thursday while PPR came on Friday. Thanks to everyone. 4 Likes |

SKEPTA:Please what category of visa are you applying for? Last time I checked IMM1295 is for open work permit and not study permit. Study permit is IMM1294. Please make sure you are not making a mistake |

Chukwuemeka101:When you say combine, what do you mean please? Two schools at the same time? You can check industrial control at new Brunswick community college and Nova Scotia community college. You can equally use google to check for other colleges. 1 Like |

Doesn't matter. Just fill and validate. Once you get the barcode on the last page, you are good to go. If the form is outdated or has errors, it won't upload. From there you will know something is wrong. Lekiboboe: 1 Like |

You have to go through the questionnaire submission all over. Your answers are already saved, so you just have to be clicking next, next next till you get to the dashboard. Until you pay you application fee, anytime you log out and log in, it will take you to the questionnaire again. I hope this helps. Lekiboboe: 2 Likes |

What if its a 3yrs advanced diploma, first year is online, then 2 other years will be on campus. Or what if its a 2yrs PGC/PGD and you do the first year online and the second year on campus. Will it still be a problem? I am just asking sha. What do I know? oma22: |

I agree with you. Its a very tricky situation. Mind you, the schools want your money and will be happy to allow you enroll and pay tuition fees and attend classes. CIC can still refuse you. Except if you are financially stable and willing to battle it out with IRCC with the help of an immigration lawyer. If not, egun gun has to be careful, cos na express you d go with your money. Stop wasting your time. Someone who doesn't know CIC post about maintenance, how do you start arguing with such a person. Rather he confidently said I should stop assuming. oma22: |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ralfudoh(m): 2:59pm On Jun 06, 2020 |
Abeg help me tell him. No one disputes his approval because as we all know, IRCC are unpredictable. A simple screen shot would lift the moral of prospective awaiting applicants. There is no harm. If everyone gets approval and leaves, how will others benefit. Share what you did different. Others will learn from it. The goal is for everyone to get the visa. Someone said I am being negative. How on earth. I don't want others to get visa or what? Phatkayconcept: 4 Likes

There was maintenance on that day sir. Secondly I only proved to you that CIC always states maintenance on their site. That you didn't know. So relax. Frank pointed it out that there was maintenance. You can argue that with him. Besides, I know several others that knew there was maintenance on that day. Dont come and argue blindly. I got most of my updates after maintenance. Not before. Lol. Oga, it was stated on CIC site. Always ask before you assume or speak. Showing screenshot is optional but goes a long way in encouraging other applicants. Kaycevit: 1 Like

But I think someone got approved in one week here. Frank asked for screen shot of it as we were all eager to see how it was done on a day maintenance was ongoing. But we never saw it. In overall, I dont think anyone has gotten feedback on study permit. PR applicants have been getting approval though. |
