That was too quick and a decision in a rush. If that was the only reason for you withdrawing, there are several ways you can got about it. Correct the form, and raise a webform to Nairobi and attach it. Secondly send it via mail to Nairobi and copy Lagos, they would update your application with the new form.
You went too far asking for a withdrawal.
librangyps:
Immediately I saw this, It just clicked in my head that i didnt do this. I used my first name and last name. I cant remember typing in my middle name.

So I have gone ahead to withdraw my application by filling a webform as I also read on ircc page of the utmost importance of this.

My question now is should I go ahead and submit another application or I must wait for confirmation that the initial application has been withdrawn?

Thanks Frank

My special thanks goes to Frankrobn1, Naijaforeigner and other gurus in the house whose contributions and encouragement helped me to achieve this feat after the unfair decision I received from IRCC on my third application. I give up. Writing IELTS 8times. Chai. The struggle is real. But study eh.......... refusals are too much.
Frankrobbn1:
That's true too. Well, we should also put his age or martial status into consideration, the applicant might be seeking for study permit because he may not have qualified for the EE route. Having a master's doesn't guarantee that one is an eligible Candidate for PR. Other factors like IELTS score (8.7.7.7) is also a big hurdle to cross for most applicants. I have seen in the EE thread, applicants that have written the IELTS for more than 8 consecutive times (75kX8 =600k) and still haven't attained the required band. Also, working experiences for three or more years is also an important criteria that must be considered when applying via the EE route.

If the applicant meets this criterion, I think that would be the best option, otherwise he should stick to study permit.

It will end in praise.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ralfudoh(m): 12:04pm On May 22, 2020
Spot on. At least before he finishes his WES evaluation, write IELTS and gather other documents, there should be normalcy in the system.
Frankrobbn1:
Well said bro!

However, there haven't been any draws since January for outland express entry stream applicants and no one can tell when they will start as per CIC news. I think a second master's degree program would help in his case, so long as he can present his case in a justifiable manner.

It will end in praise.

Good morning great people, please is it compulsory for an applicant to submit the international passport data page of family members when applying for study visa or other means of identification like
birth certificate or national I.D is OK?
Its not compulsory. I didn't submit any but still got approved
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ralfudoh(m): 6:22pm On May 21, 2020
Its very possible. But considering the high rate of refusals, I would advice you consider the PR route since you already have a masters. Thats a more guaranteed route than the study. But if you still wish to give the study option a trial then be prepared to be convincing enough to the visa officer. My 2cents

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ralfudoh(m): 1:09pm On May 17, 2020
At least I didnt say 100%. Incase you dont understand the difference between 99 and 100. 99% means there are still those who dont use fake documents. You still affirmed to all I said, quoting what goes on in Toronto and all, are these not the same things I said. I also pointed out that not everyone that qualifies for a visa is issued one. Its obvious you just want attention. I asked, are my points not valid. Other countries too do the same thing, how come Nigeria has 81% rejection rate. Isn't it a cause for concern?
Naijaforeigner:
In your initial post, you said 99% of Nigerians use fake documents. You also said it clearly that Nigerians are not honest. You get called out and try to now act all nice and start praising Nigerians?

I will ignore your rants. Whatever makes you sleep well at night.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ralfudoh(m):
Do you read to understand or your read to reply. I dont understand your bitterness. Let me point it out to you, majority of the monickers you mentioned are close allies. We chat on a regular. Who said all Nigerians who go to Canada dont school. I know a lot who paid over $30,000 for a year MBA and have graduated. I know those who have graduated with distinctions. At least if I keep dishonest friends, I dont know how it affects you, at least they are getting their visas like I mentioned in my post, a friend whom I know used genuine documents. So I can't see where i said my friends are not genuine. Next time read to understand rather to attack. No matter how you want to sugar coat it, the obvious fact still remains. In summary, what i said, is it true or not? A yes or no. You still typed all the long epistle and still mentioned that this things happen. So whats the point? Nobody said Nigerians are not doing good. I had not finished reading your reply, and an obvious case popped up, I drew your attention to it, you did as if you didnt see it.This is my last post on this, you can continue with it. You can keep searching. Remember there is life outside nairaland. Nairaland accounts for less than 10% of applicants.
Naijaforeigner:
I am actually searching for the truth in your post. I will address key points from your previous post.

1. Visa is not a right, It is a privilege

I completely agree.
So because visa is not a right does that mean the process should be unfair, inconsistent and inefficient?
Do you see so much complaints in the UK student thread?

Most people are complaining about the process not the outcome. If people are rejected and the process is fair, there will be little or no complaints.

10 different applicants will apply from different parts of Nigeria and they will all be refused for generic reasons. These 10 different applicants will pay and apply for GCMS notes and they all get similar generic statements. Does it not occur to you that there is something wrong with the process? To add salt to injury, applicants are even refused within 3 days. Are you saying they verified documents within 3 days? grin
Is IRCC not paid processing fees?

2. Nigerians come to Canada and don't go to school and they use fake documents

Another myth peddled around without facts.

Austacus, Wheyme, Myself, Asapant, vestment all study in Ontario. There is a woman on this forum whose husband attends my school (moniker witheld). There are about 5 other people on this forum in my school (I cant remember their moniker). Lonelydude, graduated from University of Western Ontario last year and he has a fantastic job with a very good pay. We keep in touch on a regular.

Sleeky is in Newfoundland, Bracha I think is in Brandon. There are a couple of other Nairalanders spread across different provinces all studying. All these people are Nairaland members I got to know on this forum. They moved to Canada from Nigeria and they are studying. I specifically mentioned Nairalanders so you know I am not telling you stories out of the blues. Did all these people use fake documents?

Do you need me to tell you other people outside this forum who I know personally and they all moved from Nigeria to Canada and are still studying, some graduated, some are working and doing well in Canada?

Because you all hear 2 or 3 students moved to Canada and did not go to school, bloggers post it and you all assume that is the norm with most Nigerian students.

5 Nigerians are doing yahoo, drugs, crime in Toronto. It makes headlines. What about the thousands of Nigerians doing exceptionally well? Do you use the same energy to celebrate Nigerians, definitely in the majority, that are doing well in Canada?

The sad fact is negative news spread so fast and then people assume that is the norm. We don't celebrate Nigerians who are in school doing well. We are too focused speaking about the few people spoiling the country.

3. Nigerians struggle to get their fees paid when they are in Canada

I can tell you for a fact that at least 80% of Nigerians that come into Canada go to school, pay their fees and complete their education. They may struggle, there may be challenges but they get the fees paid. Which International student does not struggle to pay their fees?

I have paid a total of 33,000Cad, is that beans? My parents are not politicians, government workers or contractors. Indians struggle to pay their fees as well. Almost all nationals struggle. kini big deal. We struggle but we get it paid.

IRCC only asked to show money for 1 year and by the way, who just leaves 33,000Cad in their account doing nothing?

4. Nigerians are not honest.

We have dishonest people everywhere in the world. I mean no disrespect, If you have dishonest people as friends, please change your circle of friends. Dishonesty has nothing to do with Tribe, nationality or race. It is all about the person and his/her principles.

I hope you have a good one.

This is a personal decision for you to make, no one will advise you to proceed or stop. Considering the current economic situation and high number of refusals coming in, it won't be a bad idea if you wait for things to settle down, plan for Winter or Spring resumption.
MavenMykael:
Good morning everyone, this is my first time commenting in this trend however have been a passive read the trend and I find it informative.

I want to ask a question, I tried apply to a college and have been given pre acceptance letter and was asked to pay an enrollment fee then all possible documents will be sent to for visa application. But all this was before the pandemic, I am supposed to have paid since a month ago but I have as I really don't know the condition of everything right now. Asking if this you advise me to pay and continue the process or wait till the whole covid stuff is over. The resumption date is October 5. Thank you

@Naijaforeigner This isn't nice to say. I guess the truth isn't nice to say because it was too blunt. You can see this now. I dont mean to argue with you but can you see this? And you tell me my words aren't nice. How else would you want the truth sugar coated.

Alwaysgetbetter:
Hello everyone,

I’m just a newbie here (someone sent me a link to this thread) and I have been reading contents here I must say I’m impressed by the selfless replies and answers.

I have applied for schools in Canada and I’m awaiting admissions.

Please I have questions bothering me since days now.
I had been refused of USA visiting visa before like last year (around June). My uncle that sent the invitation was the one that did the application for me and there were a list of lies, such as married (while actually I wasn’t married), employed in an oil company with salary of about 400k per month (while I wasn’t working, in fact just graduated), and fake documents to serve as proofs. And my mother’s name was changed mistakenly. Although I questioned the whole lies but he said that would be the only way they could grand me the visa as they would serve as home ties. And he is the same man sponsoring me.

Now that I want to apply for study permit myself without lies and with legit documents, I’m afraid they might check my history.

Please I really need a candid advice from experience gurus here on what to do and how to explain this to the VO.

Has anyone had same issues and was offered study permit?

Please someone should answer me as I have asked several people but no head way and the last person I spoke to directed me here.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ralfudoh(m):
So I spoke to a friend in Canada who knows much about immigration. He arrived at the following. Fake documents. An open source verification is done at times. These guys know what fake documents look like, and what original documents look like. If they decide to ban us, we will say they are mean so its just to allow us to keep applying. CIC came to Nigeria and agreed with the Nigerian government on verification process for documents like landed, shares, bank statements, CAC e.t c. You claim you own a business that is registered, yet no evidence of the business being operational, no tax clearance, no website, no staff payrolls, no receipts to show. U claim u earn 400k with pay slips, yet u dont submit the account the money is credited. U start an account with 500k and closing balance of 15mil+, if that account is checked back a little, like one year back, the total transaction is not up to 1million. They look at it and laff. 99% of Nigerians are guilty of fake docs.
I kinda agreed with him becos if u see pple that have genuine docs, they are getting visa like my friend. His brother is sponsor, company is active, u can see transactions with the company name on his account. He didnt need to fund his account for over a month before printing, yet he had the required balance. He had his tax clearance, tin number and all. Shows the company is legit and running.
My friend submitted his salary account with less than 500k. And he got medical invite.
I think CIC are now verifying docs, and thats what is leading to the massive refusals.
I have known a couple of pple who came out clean to me that they used fake transcripts to secure college admission yet denied visa, could it be that CIC found out? Fake bank statements. The corruption has eaten as deep as the banking system verifying fake bank statements for applicants. You think these guys dont know? The refusals will be for a reason. Trust me, we know that Nigerians are not honest.
In this difficult economy, you are a married woman, someone else is sponsoring u, who is not your husband, your father or father in-law, is he your sugar daddy? Insufficient funds. Arranged sponsor.
Someone will be shouting he paid one year tuition and was denied on insufficient funds, who told you paying of tuition is a requirement for visa? How much do you have in your personal account in the over 5yrs of working that you claim or you just boosted your account for visa purposes? These guys are trained to detect all these things. As much as there are human errors and mistakes in the process, the percentage is low. Let's be honest and candid with each other, in this Nigeria that we are now, with the difficult economy, how many non related persons will cough out excess of 10million to sponsor someone abroad for tuition and living expenses if not an arranged sponsor. You are earning less than $1000CAD which a part time student would earn and you think they won't tick insufficient funds for you? Tuition that after visa, same Nigerians request for refund and go to cheaper schools, someone whom applied with a sponsor who had over 30million balance will reach Canada and can't pay second semester fees, starts struggling and working more than 20hrs. Lets also not forget what other Nigerians in Canada are doing, how does it affect the chances of the millions back home? Cyber crime, drugs and all. Nigerians rank second in over stayed visa in USA and Canada. Refugee claims. Marrying of old women to get papers. They have all these records. And you expect them to be dishing out visas to us anyhow? Canada also filters the quality of people they allow into their country. They consider a lot of factors like age, economic importance, course of study and all. Like oma22 said, CIC owes no one visa, they didnt force you to apply, if you dont want them to keep eating your application money, stop applying and look for other countries, rather than being bitter and discouraging others. Visa is not a right, its a privilege. Besides not every qualified person will be issued a visa, Nigeria would have been empty by now.
Ask yourself, why dont CIC have a processing office in Nigeria since we make up for a large percentage of applicants in Africa. Because they dont trust us.
Like Frank always says, it will end in praise, if you have been denied, re-strategize, identify the loopholes and refire. Dont let anyone's bitterness discourage you. You knew you could stay in Nigeria and make millions, yet you applied to Canada, that same reason that made you apply should ginger you to take the necessary steps.

Thanks

oma22:
Abeg you and your cohorts should go and sit down! This thread is for prospective Canadian students to share info and lot for bitter people that they denied! Nigerians are too entitled for my liking. CIC does not owe you visa, if u apply and get, fine! If u don’t, reapply or try another country. Don’t come here and be talking rubbish. Every Nigerian student apply for Canadian study permit is not on Nairaland, the people on Nairaland are not even up to 10% of Nigerians applying. So the fact that people on Nairaland have been getting rejections of recent does not mean Canada does not want you or there system is not working. People will always quarrel when things don’t go their way! If u got visa now u wil say the system works, bro abeg let’s hear word. People are getting study permit from Nigeria everyday. People are are getting PR everyday. If u are not here to share info go to another thread and don’t bring negativity here.

Thanks.

You can't be denied for not meeting up the resumption date, so dont panic. They will only ask for an updated admission letter with a future resumption date. So kindly defer your admission and request an admission letter for another intake. Once CIC requests, you just upload it. My advice is that you take your mind off resuming this intake, because you can't get passport request, submit, get stamped, book flight, and prepare for landing and still catch up with classes, except your school allows late resumption of 6-8weeks afterwards. One thing I advice, with IRCC, patience is a virtue you must cultivate.
My little advice. Not compulsory you take it.

Hi guys,

My application was submitted on the 30th of October and I enrolled my biometrics on the 1st of November. I also did upfront medical on the 28th of October.

Since, then I have not had any updates on my application. Not even for medical. School starts on Monday and I’m worried. Last week, my eligibility review started. I’ve sent several emails and webforms to the Kenya office and I’ve been told that my application is “under active review.”

Now, I’m trying to figure out the best time to contact IRCC with a deferral letter from school. I don’t want to jump the gun incase they get back to me this week. But I also don’t want to be refused on grounds that I can’t meet the resumption date. Does this make sense?!

Can someone please advise? Thank you.

My brother, if you like, explain your genealogy, from how you were conceived and destined to study that course, how the current Canadian pm was born to rule to how the school was set up to help you achieve your goals to how that course will change your generation, Bros study permit don cast for Nigerians, they are not issuing again. Let's stop deceiving ourselves.
@frank If you like write letter of explanation to letter introduction to sound SOP. They will still deny. How many of the people you have advised to repackage and reapply that have gotten approval. My candid advice to fellow Nigerians, let's take a chill from study permit for now. If you like pay full year tuition, show all the millions, they are not giving. We have seen first class graduates been denied here. We have seen near perfect applications that are far better than mine, yet they come up with their generic refusal reasons. Some they just return the application without reason for denial. You have to mail them and then they will copy any r refusal letter on their screen and paste for you. Its ridiculous. Let's stop wasting our application fees.
Thanks.

Speaking from my personal experience. My candid advice is to get a letter from the academic office of your university stating that your primary language of instruction is English language. Just meet the guys in the academic office of your institution, they know what to do, they will ask for the name of the school and draft the letter. Cheers. I hope this helps
