Seriously it baffles me. Everyone wants to study in Canada, but is not willing to even undertake the slightest of tasks. How then do you intend to survive the rigorous educational task you want to undertake. Make google your friend. Read! Read!! Read!!! Then you can come and ask questions. Very soon, someone will ask on this thread how to acquire an international passport? Or where is the international airport in Lagos located? Does one need to finish secondary school before applying to a university? Right now there is tension here. People have been waiting for 10+ weeks. This is not time to be asking questions that Google can answer. Or simply read from page one of part 14. You will gather enough information. Open a note pad and be copying and pasting what is important to you. @makano your savagery doesn't have part 2 makano: 1. Leave ur House 2. If you are driving, drive straight to Lekki, Ikate roundabout. Get down from ur Car and enter VFS and take a ticket number, sit down and wait for ur number to be announced. When it is announced, go straight to the counter called against ur number and Submit.
And if you are not driving, Take a bus going to Obalende, after which u take a bus going to Lekki, Ikate round about and follow the procedures above. Meanwhile make sure you get an appointment, before leaving ur house, so u wont go there twice or thrice.
I have taken pain to explain, If any newbie ask questions like this next time, I will personally flog you. Advice to the newbies, Read all through this thread and u will see that the answers to ur supposed Questions are already there. Peace |

My candid advice, Kindly forward to CIC mails and web form tagging it as urgent. Don't defer. They said they might not offer you a seat after 20th, meaning there is a 1% chance that the program might not be filled up and you might still be accepted. Wait till the very last minute. Don't allow them force your hand to defer. When you have past the 29th august without feedback from CIC, you can now defer. Its better late than never. Others can advice. |

What does this mean? ladyb4sure: Hi everyone! A friend got this reply after biometrics and he is kind of confused what they actually mean by that...
Hello,
We are writing to inform you of an error in the Biometrics Instruction Letter that you or your client(s) may have recently received from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The letter incorrectly states that applicants have the option of going to a Service Canada location to provide their biometrics. Please note that biometrics collection services will not be available at Service Canada locations until 2019.
In addition, the letter incorrectly indicated that biometrics are required to support applications for Permanent Residence, or to renew a Permanent Resident card. At this time, biometrics are not required to support these types of applications.
Biometrics are only required in support of an application for a:
work permit; study permit; or temporary resident visa. What to do next:
When visiting a biometric collection service point, applicants must bring their initial IRCC Biometrics Instruction Letter, which provides proof of payment for the biometrics fee. Applicants should go in person to one of the following locations to have their fingerprints and photograph taken, if not already done:
If in the United States, applicants may go to a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) or a Visa Application Centre (VAC) If overseas, applicants may go to any Visa Application Centre (VAC) For a complete list of biometric collection service points, please visit: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/where-to-give-biometrics.html
We apologize for any inconvenience that this error may have caused. If you require further clarification or additional information, you may contact the IRCC Call Center at 1-888-242-2100 if you are currently in Canada, or visit: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/client-support-centre.html. |

A family tree would do some good accompanied with certificate of origin of each family member down the lineage, from sponsor to primary applicant. There must be a valid reason for the sponsorship. On this thread, we have seen pple with sponsors with different surnames get their Trv. What you should focus on is a convincing sponsorship letter and or Affidavit with a very convincing reason on why he/she is sponsoring you, what will he/she benefit from the sponsorship afterwards. Points you should look out for. Thats the little i can offer. I hope am not misleading. I write to be corrected. donsunnyjjayy: Thanks @ralfudoh what alternate means do you suggest? also open to other suggestions. |

Sorry but unfortunately Vfs doesnt collect pictures for visa application anymore. So dont bother about attaching pictures, look for alternative means to prove your relationship with your sponsor. donsunnyjjayy: Hi NL, i'm still putting together my documents for application and i intend to use family pictures as proof of relationship with my uncle (with different surname). My question is simple, as it is a family picture with a lot of people from both my extended and nuclear family, do i have to point out myself or sponsor in each picture?. the pictures were taken 15+ years ago & "a lot has changed". If yes what's the best way to go about that? Secondly, What is the best format for submitting such.. I'm going through the paper route & i read on this thread that originals are no longer necessary, i intend to scan those pictures and print them out as photographs & not as photocopies. Is this advisable?
Thanks y'all are doing a great job looking forward to your suggestions... BTW i applied for the web development postgraduate program @ Humber College, Toronto for September, 2016. |

I love your point bro. No need for all the bragging. Let peace reign. In life, overtaking is allowed but watch out for sharp bends cos u myt not make it past and someone else who is slower will reach there before you. iykedare: Mizbaby, you have got your own trv so you won't give back to the thread that helped you? You also have the belief that you are better than other people who haven't got theirs. It's right there in your posts.
Sis, this life can be funny. The most successful is not always the one that got trv first, got employment first, bought a car first etc. You need to be humble. You haven't even boarded a plane to Canada, started your course or finished the course but you are talking like you have. |
