This one is quite dicey cuz your decision is around the corner and you're 80% likely to get approved. Have you discussed this with the International department of your institute?
I don't think CIC has passed his medicals. I am assuming its the hospital that told him that his medicals is okay and he has said it is passed. Biometrics completed means he has submitted and not BVL. My thought though. For more clarification, I think he needs to answer some questions as: Did he/she submit an online application/linked a paper app? What is the status? Is the portal showing medical passed and has he gotten Biometrics Validation Letter?

Hello Experts,

How do I stop my application for Study permit, school started already and I have deadlines to withdraw so I get my fees paid back (Sept 17th). Kindly advise, do I just process my fees return only or withdraw my study permit applications so I can reapply later.

Btw, applied Late July. completed and passed medical, Biometrics completed etc.. just waiting for approved.

How come did I miss this entire drama. Episode 2 of SOP. Am back and waiting. Makano said something here sometime ago. We are too lazy. Someone wants to go for a research masters, but can't write SOP about himself, please what can you go and research about if you can't research about your ownself. Thats why they always fall vulnerable to others. Write something and share with friends and others for their inputs. Ive personally assisted review SOP for people on this thread for free. The likes of Thesoj, Double08, Morgan, Senator, old time gurus helped me for free. I see it as a way of giving back, I was helped for free, I help for free. Those that collect money, we complain about been treated badly by foreigners yet we slaughter ourselves. On the USA thread, people no longer share names of schools that offer them full funding so that others won't apply, are we really helping ourselves? If you can't help, just keep mute. Rather than exploit others. Same way we frown at the use and promotion of agents, same way we should frown at charging for SOP. Peace!!!

The only effect this will have is a decrease in revenue for the Canadian government, but for how long. By the time we are caught after six months for using fake documents, we will all run back to CIC again. Mind you, 2years work permit, after that, what next? Will you be allowed to file for PR? Canada will still remain the way they are. They don't even care about Nigerians, they have a lot of Indians they are giving visas. Canada would prefer to give Syrian refugees visa rather than Nigerian applicants. So if UK gives work permit or not, it affects CIC in no way. They will still dish out refusals as they wish. My thoughts though. I stand to be corrected.
makano:
Boss, I didn't say they will stop refusing visa tho, I said the refusal rate will decrease if they see that the number of applicants applying for their study visa is reducing drastically cos am sure most Nigerians are tired of Canada refusals and will wanna port to the UK which to me is better than Canada in a way... Imagine earning in Pounds compared to Canadian dollar... Peace

5yrs ban is on paper. Its a life ban. Even after the 5yrs, they won't issue you a visa. I attended MUN fair in Abuja last Saturday where CIC officials were part of the delegation. I personally asked him the chances of someone securing a visa after a ban. And he said and I quote: "Tell your friend to forget Canada for life, he will never get an approval because his name has been blacklisted. We have his name and biometrics. He can never enter Canada".
raymege:
This issue of fake statements.
That 5 years isn't even enough,in my opinion.
They should prosecute and jail such offenders, they simply cause problems for other jnnocent applicants.
Nigerians need to stop all this criminality.

If you are applying for fall semester, make sure you submit you application before May 1st. If its for Winter, please make sure you submit before September 1st. This allows for enough time and avoid one falling into the rush hour and being a victim of mass refusals for unnecessary and flimsy reasons. On a normal day, most of this applications would scale through. But now we have generic refusal reasons and Copy and paste gcms telling one the study plan is vague and poorly explained. I was once refused before my second app scaled through. I will kindly advise, relax, think it through, dont be in a rush to reapply, seek assistance from friends rather than agents to look at you sop and help make a checklist of documents you require. You might be omitting a key document but when you share with a friend, he will come to rescue. Dont say you can't wait, you don't have time, you dont want this year to waste, if you are so much in a rush, then try another country, CIC are like babes, grin you don't rush them, its slow and steady. Remember, nothing good comes easy. Plan well and deal with CIC/IRCC. Allow your anger calm down and you will come good.
Cheers!!!

I totally agree with this. It has been so since 2015. Once it is July, the rate of rejections is always on the high side. I've seen a denial without reason. Last year it was just purpose of visit to multiple applicants. I sympathize with all parties involved. Delay is not denial. Defer, re-strategize, plan and reapply early. Applying early is always key. If you notice, those who applied for fall intake early have their visas and have already travelled, those that applied late are ending up with denials. If Jan is close, defer to spring or even fall 2020 and once u have your new admission letter apply. With CIC, one have to be patient and plan well. Dont be in a rush. Secondly, always have a plan B,C,D. Don put all hopes only on Canada, because when denied, you will hate yourself. Explore other options. My 2cents
Frankrobbn1:
The high rate of refusals recently from IRCC for Study Visa Applications is NORMAL as we do encounter same experience towards the start of every fall term. The rejection is a clear evidence that IRCC has reached the specific number of Temporary Resident applicants to be admitted/issued visa for the September Fall term, 2019. I will therefore sincerely urge all applicants to defer their Admissions to January and apply in time so as to be able to meet up with their resumption date!

It shall end in praises

I understand. Its usually disheartening when you know its a definite refusal but still want an encouraging word from someone to give you little faith. Its just to sympathize and tell the person to apply for gcms. Sometimes I just keep quiet and wait for 24-48hrs, the result will com out. CIC can confuse brains. Am not mocking though, but I remembered the case of Obehi44, a few pages back, she told someone that a bvl without medical request is a refusal. 2days later, when she got hers, she started asking, asked twice, that was when I knew that CIC can mess with someone's brain. Same thing with Mrs JustMellow (jesseeve).
Vesment:
am sorry about that..... just that people getting bvl just kept on asking the same and am actually yet to see. i asked the same on my first app too. its normal

I will advice he applies for his gcms. I have seen a case like this where the applicant was banned but he didn't know, he thought it was just generic refusal, not until his gcms arrived. Am not saying your case is the same, but apply for your gcms, it will help you know your status
Stevenssen:
I don't really know about this. Canada shares info with US so they likely knew that you have been refused visa before, maybe you got lucky and they didn't take any further action apart from a denial.
Any other person can offer their thoughts on this.

@Fummieluv

We don't encourage fraud on this platform. No one will answer your questions as it shows an intent of fraud. But if you insist, lemme answer the ones I can. You must pay the entire tuition of your entire program before you leave Nigeria. If its a two or four years program, you must pay the four years fees and also deposit your living expenses of $10,000 per year for four years. Yes you can reduce your age and write waec but after that, when doing your medicals, a full MRI scan will be done and they will find out you reduce your age which will lead to your arrest and you will be sent to kirikiri. Once you are above 18 you cant apply for undergraduate as 18 is the maximun age you can apply and 24 for masters and 30 for PhD. Once you pass this ages, you can't apply. As an asthmatic person, they won't give you Canadian visa. Before you get Canadian visa, you must never have fallen sick. If they see even malaria, they will reject you as you will pose a great risk to their country and might bring Ebola into canada. Thanks my friend. Dont mention. What are we friends for.
grin cheesy

Well, I know of someone who had over 144 pages, he submitted only the first and last pages along with other supporting documents. It worked for him and he got approved. But with CIC, different approaches. I am not saying you should do similar. But its your decision to make. Alternatively if you can get the Ticket ID and password for all the accounts and submit it with your application, it will save you a whole lot of stress because 80pages already will be difficult to reduce to 4mb, and u have not added other financial documents oh like shares and landed property. This is a tough call.
nicerichard05:
Pls house, my SOA is more than 80pages from 5 diff acct. How do I go about it. Should I scan everytin? Advice pls
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by ralfudoh(m): 7:18am On Aug 10, 2019
The others that were denied on financial reasons, did you consider their tuition? You can't compare someone with tuition of 7k+ and some one with tuition of 16k+ because you are younger you need less money? I dont see how that comes into play? Someone above 18 is considered an adult and will have same expenses. Age doesn't affect finances.
jessyeve:
Unless there's another financial document presented, that amount is too close, alot had more and they were rejected on financial bases, his age played a role like I said, the younger you r, the lesser attention on ur financial situation.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by ralfudoh(m): 11:24pm On Aug 09, 2019
I dont think its about being lucky. 7,384 for first year tuition and $10,000 CAD living expenses amounts to 4.87million in naira at 280 exchange range which is below the 6million balance, excluding the cash flow shown( this is also key), and other sources of income presented. Finances doesn't ball down to closing balance only. Just my thought.
jessyeve:
And u showed account statement of 6million for sponsorship, you r really lucky, I think age is also a major determinant, congrats once more.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by ralfudoh(m): 10:01am On Aug 08, 2019
Dont get me wrong, I didnt say his statement was fake. My point was that any time someone is sent a procedural fairness letter, it has always resulted in a ban. This is the first time am seeing one that wasn't a ban. Sometimes the applicant isn't even guilty but they don't care. It so unfortunate that most are not financially buoyant to take Legal action.
yacha77:
Bro I stand to be corrected but if this statement was fake there is no way he won't be banned, based on the reasons for refusal I want to believe the balance of the account change and it drag all those reasons out.......

I was asked to verify my SOA after my medical Request mail was received that they were fraudulent which I did. I just got this correspondence now after BVL mail yesterday. Please, I'll appreciate your advice.
At least we have one person whom wasn't banned after SOA validation request. Trust me, re-packahmge your application and you will get it. The little I can discern is that the V.O feels you are not currently or upon your return be gainfully employed in Nigeria. So u need to buttress this by attaching a leave letter stating you will resume employment upon completion of your studies or a family company you will come back to manage. This will help. Then work on you SOP to properly explain the relation between your previous level of study, current employment (if any) and your intended course of study.
Personal assets, I dont know how long you have been working but you should be able to show you are established and have a reason to come back to Nigeria (in form of landed property be it self purchased or inherited, shares, e.t.c)

Kindly use this to verify your biometrics validity. I submitted an application in Feb 2016, but I still had to re-submit my biometrics in 2018. We all know CIC dont have a pattern. Yours might still be valid.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by ralfudoh(m): 10:16am On Aug 07, 2019
Come on, I wasn't harsh. Just like you are a straight person. I am also a straight person who tells the truth. I dont know how to polish it. BVL without medical invite is a straight refusal. Stop acting as if you dont know. You didnt want to accept the truth, so I had to spill the truth to your face. Accept it. I wasn't harsh. I was straight and told you the truth. Stop painting me as a bad person. In your tone of voice, I am only being truthful and saying the truth. Why do you now consider my speaking the truth as being harsh. If its harsh, then know you are also harsh to others. By the way, has the refusal notes dropped? You can share the reasons and if you are humble enough to ask for help, you will be helped.
jessyeve:
Finally there's one rational person, my dear take kiss kiss I'm really not a bad person oh, I can't intentionally hurt anyone that's y I'm a bit confused when almost everyone act so hurt but then I shrug and say, it's not me, it's the truth that's hurting and it's sincerely not me lol, let's all calm down, I have had my own share of harshness too that was very direct from one raulf or something, did anyone hear me wailing? No! U don't get to control how people respond but u can control how u react to it, food for thought, save yourselves the energy and bitterness please and let's face what we are here for, thanks .
