Good luck Jonathan should just keep quiet. He was president for 5-6 years. How did he effect a change in the civil service commission?
Imagine what a female folk is spewing.

DaddyFreeze2020:
But he also had opportunities to rectify such deficiencies in the Civil service, but did not.

As a civil servant in Nigeria, you're totally OYO if you refuse to plan yourself for retirement.
He did so much. He increased workers pay across board and ensured timely payment of gratuity. I don't understand your point. Perhaps you had no clue.

I stopped acusing and blaming men over marital issues lately when i started witnessing women's tendecies to bridge family agreement due to selfish interest.

Politics / Re: FG To Look Into Gradual Removal Of Fuel Subsidy - Minister by Ramsey247(m): 3:17pm On Apr 12, 2019
theenchanter:
which people? did u missed ur way? undecided

The only thing this administration did was that they revoked fuel importer license and asked nnpc alone to import fuel cos most fuel importers hiked their imports which doesn't correspond with what we consume according to nbs. The likes of otedola of forte oil were once importers.

And it made sense.... I dont know if u're aware of d subsidy scam some years ago sha.
Are you not suprise that after this move, Govt. is spending more on subsidy today.

So your friend in Eket is a decision maker in Mobil?
chloride6:
They are not selling ALL their assets...

How does the Nigerian Economy affect their situation...

Poor Journalism...

New fields in Eastern Africa as well as the American are currently very profitable because of various incentives offered.

We already have a developed oil industry so we wont offer those incentives..

Exxon are still developing assets in Nigeria as well speak...

Same with Shell, Total and AGIP...

Besides no sale can take place without the approval the FG...

So chill and dont wail....

Modified

Called my friend in Eket now

Said it's just the discussion are on the onshore fields..

The offshore fields are not for Sale..

Exxon is currently hiring fresh graduates.

They wouldn't be doing so if there was no long term plan.

Kudos to you on this comment
Offpoint1:
Like I always said, Nigerian are their own problems until we realize that this nation will never move an inch of progress.

A potential individual [Nigerian] brought two options on the table, one of which is beneficial to Nigeria and other which is totally of no benefits to Nigeria and Nigerians... to my greatest surprise, all comments from Nigerians above and below is advising he leaves. They don't even know genius doctors will soon go extinct in Nigeria because they're leaving the shore almost everyday.

My question is How will Nigeria be great when Nigerians are advising all the already threatened brains to leave? Each time they leave the more useless and endanger Nigerian health sector becomes.

Sometimes is not what your country can do for you, it's what you can do for your country.

Your house is on fire, instead of us to seek for solutions on how to quench the fire, we ran to relax in our neighbors abode.

I know everyone deserves the best out of life, everyone wants the best out of life, but sometimes in life we have to make sacrifices which aren't convenient but are worth it.

Op, I know if you leave, your probabilities of coming back is zero to none. remember the lives you've saved so far with the little available resources to you. think of lives that will lost when you're not there to contribute... is it really worth it?
If you have intentions of coming back, there's nothing wrong if you go for your masters outside the shore, but it'll be inhume if you don't return after witnessing what your people are going through.

like I always wrote on my facebook wall and whatsapp status... "If your ambition in life is to go to school, graduate, get a job, build a house, get a car, get a wife and bore kids... then you don't know your purpose of existence"

I know I'm offpoint, that's what everyone thinks of me... but I'm always on the right path, so please don't quote to insult me if your IQ is lower than my UBA account balance. if you care to know, it's N32.00

Learn how to analyse issues bro. First, JAMB does this only once in a year so this amount could be 1 year revenue
Secondly, the previous director of JAMB had invested heavily in technology. Atleast we are seeing result toay.
sogodihno:
1.3 billion in one week? chai! do u know that this Money is more than the amount PDP remitted throughout thier 16 years.

it shall not be well with anybody that tell me to vote for PDP again.

Business / Re: AMCON Releases Names Of 105 Persons Who Owe N906b by Ramsey247(m): 10:11am On Oct 22, 2018
You do not know how company runs. It is not an enterprise but Limited liability company. You cant seize their private properties. Government is equally owing some of these companies billions too. E.G Capital oil and gas. Banks, govt and the companies are all involved in this mess.
john650:

Because the people involved have reneged on payment plans made with AMCON. What's the need making payment arrangements if the obligor won't honour it.

I really think AMCON should take further steps to recover the funds owed to banks by taking over the private properties owned by these people including their private residences, personal bank accounts, cars, jewelry of their wives. Make them live a hard life. You will find that some of them will start paying. These people do not think that a bank debt is a debt to be paid back. They see it as a personal piggy bank to take money from whenever they need. They are an extension of the corrupt Nigerian politician who sees public funds as a national cake to be taken. You will also notice that some of these people are the same people who are contesting for elections in 2019. Guess what will happen if they ever win, they'll use more of your money as largesse.

micolaj:
I see no reason why people should complain about the new appointment. Loyalty, trust and competence are essential requirements for appointing a head of secret service anywhere in the world. So bringing tribalism into the whole issue of the appointment is strategically irrational.

Some are calling me up for my comment.
I must say that I am sorry for not sharing the same view with you on this matter.
Interestingly, the diversity of our opinions projects the beauty of Independence of our enlightened souls.

jomoh:

Is that not the reality?

We don’t have anything to offer and we have not had anything to offer for over 30years. We use the money we get from crude oil to buy everything we need. We can’t even produce what we consume.

PMB now came and ban most of these things from importation that we should start producing locally people are now against him.
The little money we get from crude oil that is not enough to sustain our overbloated population we were using it to import.

Now some people have come up with a strategy again to make nigeria a dumping ground for foreign products and PMB has once again refused.

PMB by far has the best policies that puts Nigeria first in anything. The only shortcoming is the security issue.
I am happy he did not sign it. But pls do not tell me outright banning of importation is the best solution. This is how it should be done. Products with high local production capacity should attract higher tarrif. We wunt even have to band any product. The market forces and tarrif will make it difficult for any body to import what is produced locally. We also have to ensure that those manufacturing in the country pay tax too.

You are as dumb as Buhari.

AU is a community of 55 nations not Nigeria and South Africa.

Buhari just cost us a 1.2 billion consumer market.

If SA bests us in certain goods, can they best us in Agricultural products?

Nigerian electric cables is one of the best in the world.
Kindly mention 1 comodity that Nigeria has attained self reliance on outsite oil. We import virtually every thing. Thus, we need to make money from import duty.

For the first time this Govt has taken a good decision. We do not need it for now. Next step is to build our border walls to prevent smuggling. These African countries have been using us.
