VanuatuWycombe: How do you plan embedding steel plate within the door?
If your property is in a secure area or premises, you may not need any steel reinforcements.
In addition, I would advice you don’t rely on the glossiness of the material for long because our weather can be harsh on them, especially where the doors are being touched directly by sunlight or sun rays. Be prepared to repaint/re-spray the doors after every two years.
I'm aware of steel plates being embedded within wooden doors, but didn't know it could be done with HDF doors too. Thankfully though, dannie007 has confirmed it can be done.
The positions of the doors are deep within entrance porches at the front and back of the house, so they'll not be so exposed to the weather as such.
Hello house, please is it possible for one to have an entrance security door produced with HDF boards...like maybe embedding something like a steel plate within the door?
Does anyone have any experience with GSM Network booster?
Too many dead spots in my new place, it's very frustrating.
kindly help
I remember way back before any network service got to my villa, we used to connect our phones to outdoor antennas through the ports meant for earpiece, effectively converting our mobile phones to land lines. Worked like magic
gbadexy: A third time returning nairalander gave me permission to post a short video of the ready mixed screeding putty (basecoat). A very satisfied client. Rest assured the paint would be applied on a stable surface and weather condition can't affect it while unpainted. What's what doing is what doing well.
saydfact: After Tiling is the perfect time for all Internal doors.
And after German Floor for external steel doors (because of security)
Goodluck
You might be wrongly presuming that all internal doors must be wooden. Many still do steel for internal doors...not to talk of the very popular aluminum bathroom doors.
Basalt: Thanks so much for your response. I believe wrought iron handrails is included in welded handrails you mentioned. Why do you suggest that it should be installed before tiling unlike in stainless handrails ?
Due to the way they are made in Naija, welded handrails, yes including wrought iron handrails, are installed by cutting or cracking the wall and floor, before holding them in place with mortar. Tiles can then be cut and placed neatly around them. You might damage your tiles or mess them up with mortar if you place them before installing welded handrails.
On the other hand, stainless rails are installed by using power tools to drill through wall and tiles, before using anchors to hold them in place. The tiles are usually not damaged or messed up with mortar during this process.
gbadexy: It can be used for both internal and external. It should dry relatively strong also without dusting, suggesting adequate binder and good bonding to the wall.
gbadexy: I've been meaning to write it here for a while, the opinion of myself and my screeders is that basecoat putty is better than cement screeding. Often times, cement screeding tends to crack after some time, it needs to be primed with white emulsion paint to prevent excessive consumption of paint and give white background for a sharper final paint application. Basecoat is white and doesn't need any extra priming. Those we have handled application for can attest to these.
Noted with thanks. Just one question though...is this basecoat putty good for both internal and external walls, or just for internal walls only?

twinskenny: There is this guy on Instagram he is a tiler u believe he has that tool will be on the look out … but trust me his charges like 4k per sqm doing tiling
Better thing, na money kill am. As long as he has the right tools and can deliver a spotless finish...and not all these cut and join tiling we see everywhere.
I am still looking for a Tiler who has a Tile removal machine. I want to change my sitting room/dinning and an outer verandah tiles and I don't want it done manually.
I have seen some videos on YouTube where they use a machine and I believe we should be have such too here but most tilers I have asked only remove it manually which to me will take time
Any recommendations will be appreciated
Thanks
Nigerian tilers hardly invest in high-end tools to even do perfect installation of tiles, not to talk of tools to just remove tiles. I don't think they're paid enough to buy such tools. I'd suggest you get the tool yourself if that is a priority for you. I recently had to procure a laser level for use in some finishing jobs on my current project. I also intend to get a tile/granite cutter and a hole saw when it's time for tiling.
EgunMogaji2: How much is granite in the south south and what is considered a small tipper?
Thanks.
Not sure about the cost of granite in the south south at the moment. Been a while since I did any granite. Small tipper for us in Bayelsa refers to 6 tyre tipper (AKA 911 tipper)
