I have come to the conclusion that it is Islam that is the problem. The religion was established and spread in violence. From the battle of Badr to Uhud and to the day Prophet Muhammad conquered Mecca, violence has been ingrained into the very fabric of Islam. Muslims are quick to say prophet Muhammad fought those wars as self defense, but never once did the polytheists take the fight to him, he was always the one instigating those wars. Even after prophet Muhammad died, the sahabas never stopped, they kept on fighting from Persia to the Roman empire, killing and forcing people to join their religion. They crossed to North Africa and killed off the entire indigenous black population and settled those lands. Usman Danfodio was sponsored by the Arabs to carry out one of the worst massacres in the history of northern Nigeria. They killed and forced people to join their religion.

If we are going by the pure teachings of Islam what Boko Haram is doing is exactly in accordance with the teaching of Islam and in fact moderate Muslims are hypocrites. they are afraid of the Shari'a law, which is the supreme law of Islam. Democracy is the direct opposition to the Shari'a and any Muslim who practices democracy has refuted the teachings of Allah and prophet Muhammad. This is a fact.

So, Islam is the real tumor, so long as it exists groups like maitasine, Boko Haram, ISWAP, Al-qaeda, El-shabab, Lakurawa, and their grand patron ISIS will always arise in different forms or names, especially in vulnerable countries like ours, because the ideologies will always remain.

Honestly, he just might be.
Everyone thinks it's easy to be the president, but if you were to give them the opportunity they would realize it not all rainbows and sunshine. Buhari made so much noise before becoming president, but ended up being the worst president in recorded Nigeria history. Goodluck Jonathan was a good man, but couldn't hold his ground, he was consistently frustrated by Northern politicians. Yaradua had a bit of everything, but unfortunately didn't live long, Obj is the origin of our problems.

Tinubu is not a good man, but he is practical, intelligent and strategic.

Before he came into power I was horrified that a man like Tinubu was going to be president, I couldn't stand looking at his posters and I felt like I wanted to vomit anytime I see his face.

Even now, I still can't look at his face for 2 seconds, but I realize now that none of the other contenders would have handled things better than him, not Atiku, not Peter Obi and not Kwankwaso. They are all making noise, you give them the position they will all dance to the tunes of the cabals and upper class.

Try and enter any pharmacy in nigeria and ask for those drugs i listed… no one will sell it to you …unless they know u… that to tell u the laws work and reduce access … but of course not 100percent because there will always be law breakers
I have already told u… once one or two pple get arrested everybody will straighten up because seller will be afraid nafdac decoy shoppers are everywhere.

This agbo/concortion sellers are even the easiest… task force will just start arresting them on the street… u wont see any of them again…..

So you think Agbo sellers, local kiosk owners, and road side vendors etc, a lot of whom may not even be formally educated, will be the ones asking or profiling those under 21.

The diazepam, tramadol and codeine you are talking about, if you want 100 packs today-today you will get it, in fact they can even do home delivery for you, with just a phone call.

Yes they can.. sellers will be mandated to ask for ID and also profile kids they feel arent up to 21 years old with doctored ID cards… this is the standard everywhere… nigeria is too slack with alcohol control……
NAFDAC does this successfully with pharmacy for control drugs like diazepam, codein, tramadol…… they use decoy customers to ask for these drugs under control list….once one or two pple fall for it and get arrested, everybody will lock up sharppaly

.there is doctored ID everywhere sir… even abroad thats why sellers are expected to profile kids even when they bring ID but they look like less than 21 years old

Which bottle of alcohol is 1500?? Everything is expensive now ooooo… Of course some will still drink……..still there is no how access will not significantly reduce for kids if sachets are off the streets…

What a joke. First of all NAFDAC can't possibly enforce age access laws. This is a country where 15-16 year old kids have voters card and participate in elections, talk less of buying alcohol.
And if you think children can't afford 1,500 or 2,500 for alcohol, then you don't know children of nowadays. Same children that are now spending thousands of naira to buy different grades of weed and drugs.
Those who will drink will drink, in fact, bottle alcohol will even make them more indulgent.

The move was never to control adult’s alcohol intake.. adults will surely adjust by buying alcohol in bottles..

They mentioned its for controlling children's easy access to alcohol….. with one hundred naira any kid can buy those things in satchet since its every where unlike bigger bottles that are more expensive and found only in shops where nafdac can enforce age access laws

I don't understand the obsession of NAFDAC with sachet Alcohol. Banning it will never reduce the volume of Alcohol people drink. In fact, I think sachet Alcohol helps people take smaller volumes and regulate their drinking. The moment it is banned they will just move up to buying bigger bottles, because people who drink will always drink.
Now imagine entering a commercial bus and you see a 750ml bottle of Chelsea or Action bitters positioned on the dashboard.
The only possible benefit banning sachet Alcohol has is that it will help reduce the environmental pollution polymer sachets cause. If that is the reason why they are doing it, then it is reasonable. But if it's to make people reduce or stop drinking, then it will be one of the most useless intervention by NAFDAC.

So many people are waking up to the lies of religion, especially online. But in reality this country is still neck-deep in religion. Today is Sunday and my street is empty, just few people and shops open, the rest don go church.

Nevertheless, a lot of people are now starting to ask questions, especially this Gen Z. It is only a matter of time, the days of religion in Africa are numbered.

In fact going by your assessment, every single top-flight team is a big team because they are all big in their own ways.

If not that you like argument very well, you will understand that when I say Real betis is a small team, it is relative to who they are in Spain. At best you can say they are decent side or an average side in Spain but never one of the 'big team's. Never! You seem to be having an issue with the English language. "Big" and "bigger". In that instance, what you say holds true; they can't compare, madrid et al are bigger. But saying they are wrong may be your "feeling", but it doesn't hold true on any level. By what measure are they small? Revenue? Stadium capacity? Ex-players? Current players? Annual budget?

Your points are valid.
But we are operating under the premise that Obi emerges as the ADC candidate (I do admit it is very unlikely), but if he does and Kwankwaso joins (again, another assumption) and Obi picks him as VP, and Atiku supports them, then it will be a very viable pathway for the opposition to win on popular votes (that doesn't mean they would be announced as winners).
If Obi can perform as well as he did in the southeast, south-south, and even southwest (Lagos, I mean), then you have to see that with Atiku and Kwankwaso campaigning for him in the north (regardless of the northern votes being divided), there is a real chance for the opposition to emerge victorious. All this is just speculation anyways, and I don't think those three will ever work together, but the fact is if they were to do, it would be very unwise for Tinubu to underestimate them.

NB: Personally, I don't care who wins; they are all the same. Nothing significant will change. Ours is a fundamental problem, not a politician problem. Even Jesus Christ and Muhammed cannot solve Nigeria's problem as it is now. Because as they are doing one thing, there is one director, one senator, one commissioner, one chief judge, one army general, one pastor, one imam, and one state governor somewhere doing another thing.

1. Your assumption of a two horse race is wrong. Atiku will contest the ADC primary and win the ticket. If there is ever going to be an Obi/ Kwankwaso ticket, it will very likely be on the platform of another party.

2. In politics, interest overrides all other considerations. What’s in an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket for Atiku? Absolutely nothing. In the unlikely event of an Obi primary election victory, the Atiku camp will have to be placated with the party’s VP. Basically, Atiku will be begged to come up with the VP candidate. That person won’t definitely be kwankwaso.

3. Let’s even assume somehow that ADC agree to the ticket, what’s in that arrangement for the core north? Why will the largely Muslim north abandon the MM ticket of Tinubu and the 100% assurance of getting power back in 2031 only to support another southern Christian till 2035? Why?

4. Finally, what is the political weight of Kwankwaso in the north considering the overall political interest of the north? Those that voted for Atiku in 2023 simply wanted power retained in the north. Those votes can’t be transferred to a northern VP candidate. Kwankwaso as presidential candidate will win Kano easily but as VP to a Southern candidate, he will struggle to win Kano and lose all other core northern states to APC.

Conclusion: There is no pathway to an Obi/ Kwankwaso ticket irrespective of whether it’s a three or two horse race.

So you honestly think that it is wishful thinking that an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket in ADC, backed by Atiku, who where the 2nd, 3rd and 4th candidates from the last election can defeat Tinubu on popular votes. Wow! you don't even need to be a genius to figure that out, it's simple mathematics. I am not saying INEC will announce them as winners, even if they win the popular votes. That's an entirely different conversation.

It's not going to be a three horse race, are you forgetting that Obi and Atiku are already in the same party, and only one can emerge as the presidential candidate. If Obi emerges as the ADC candidate and he picks Kwankwaso (assuming he joins ADC and supports Obi), Atiku will have no choice but to back them, because it would be too late to leave the party at that point to go and set up another political structure elsewhere. With the support of Atiku, Obi/Kwankwaso ticket who where the 2nd, 3rd and 4th candidates from the last election would definitely give Tinubu a run for his money and based on popular votes they would definitely win, but we all know it is very unlikely for them to be announced as winners by INEC, even if they win. Nigerian politics 101.

This is the only ticket that can defeat Tinubu hands down, unfortunately it will never happen. Kwankwaso will not be Obi's deputy. It just doesn't serve his political interests. He will have to wait for Obi to finish 8 years before he gets a chance to run for presidency. Right now as thing stand, if Tinubu completes his second term Kwankwaso is already the biggest northern politician after Atiku, he stands a much better chance of contesting and winning in 2031, at which time Atiku will be 85. Moreover, if he deputises for Obi and their government doesn't live up to expectation, it will diminish the popularity he already has.
Their is only one clear path for Kwankwaso, join APC and wait out Tinubus second term. It is very possible for him to win the primary and be the APC candidate in 2031. If he does anything other than this, he should kiss his dream to be president good bye.

I never said Everton is bigger than Sevilla; I said Real Betis. I can comfortably list 30-35 clubs bigger than Real Betis across Europe. I don't know what the argument is. Real Betis is not a big team in Europe by all accounts. Period. and any sane football fan understands what I am talking about except you just like arguments.

There are only three big teams in Spain, real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletico Madrid. If you are feeling generous you can add Sevilla because of their Europa league record.
Valencia, Villarreal, Bilbao and even Real sociedad are all bigger than real betis and those ones are still small teams when we are talking about Elite footballing teams. In fact I even rate the likes of Aston Villa, Everton, and Newcastle ahead of Real betis.

I am beginning to like this man by the day. Of course he exaggerates a lot, but it turns behind all the bravado, he is a man who genuinely wants to make his country and the world a better place.

No I see why they call Tinubu, jagaban of politics. He is really good. Look at how he has made Trump flip script, without uttering a single word. Yesterday, he was praising the first lady, today he is acknowledging they worked with the government in their fight against terrorism.
