emmanuelewumi: He will lose, apart from the fine. He would also lose the interest earned which would prorated for the 7 days he invested rather than the initial 170 days or thereabout which he signed for.
His bank also charged him withholding tax on Treasury Bills, apart from Union Bank, which other Bank does that? Maybe I am missing something. i think so Sir.. it is clearly written that if he breaks his commitment in less than the stated time, he will loose 25% of the interest he has earned so far.. so now that he has earned for only 7days out of 176days for which he got 68,000.. his total earnings is actually 2,704 therefore he will loose only 676 from the interest earned. add the tax and its 929 only still gives a net profit of 1774 his capital WILL NOT BE TOUCHED.. therefore, NO LOSS. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by RealityShot: 4:20am On Nov 02, 2017 |
TONY56: I really understand your plight. I have responded that what is written in the agreement is that you will lose 25% of the interest you already collected which is 25% of the N68,000 that was paid to you upfront. i.e only N17,000.
You will also have to pay back the interest you earned for the 176-6days which you were paid believing that you won't terminate it until maturity and that is: N68,000×170/176 = N65,681.81
Apart from that, they will also deduct little sundry charges which I think won't be up to N10,000
Balance that will be paid to you out of your N980,000 = N{980,000- 17,000-65,681.81-(let's say 10,000)-253 (withholding tax} = about N887,065.
You are therefore likely to lose about N92,253 or there about for terminating it after 6days.
BUT your net loss is actually N92,253 - N68,000(which was paid to you upfront)= N24,253 65,681.81 from where? he got 68,000 interest.. they say 25% FLAT CHARGE on INTEREST EARNED. No LOSS here. |

freeman67: Its not as easy as you see it. Even if they are aware of these info here, they may not be able to benefit from it reasons being that under normal circumstances with a reliable thrift collector consider these benefits below;
Thrift collectors go and meet them at their place of business to collect the money... They do not loose time away from their business by going to the bank. ...
Majority of the market women who uses the thrift system do not always have the minimum deposit required by the various asset management institutions. They also can not keep the money themselves because they may spend it on unforseen circumstances that may happen ar... exactly.. Thats why i wish i can register as a trift collector.. but then i put the gathered funds in a fund and withdraw whenever they need it requires some long processes am not ready for |

jinwas: Nice.
How about the flip side though? In case of economic reality (i.e rates coming down) and heavy redemptions (investors diversifying their portfolios).
All these can take a toll on the NAV and price of a MMF, albeit can be mitigated depending on how well the fund manager continually re-classify the fund's asset classes.
MMF is much juicy during a dwindling economy, the NAV grows on some next level type on steroid mehn.
Not to erase your opinion on MMF though. Just the flip side.
Cheers. i like this flip-side view! you see, its a fact that TBills have not gone below 9% since 2008! so as long as it stays above that..the only treat to mmf is war! And govt default in TBills repayment (which hasnt happened in 40 yrs! and our foreign reserves just hit new high of $34billion). mind you SIMM fund is run by a BANK that has minimum of 100billion insurance at the CBN..So the bank guarantees your money and CBN guarantees the bank.. you are Double SuRE! |

Market women re really suffering from lack of info.
do you know that they do contribution and after they pay the trift collector at the end instead of getting something out?
yep.. Say they contribute 10000 to trift.. Collector takes 100 bucks per month. Thats 1200 off!
No interest at all..
i wish its easy to register such collection agency..i will offer market women a progam to earn something instead. |

khattab008: Hello house, please anyone here into Stanbic IBTC Imaan Fund? Have some questions. leave that thing alone. how are they going to pay you interest if they are going to give out your money as loans without interest? if you want to take big risk (possible loss of capital) do Equity fund if you just want to take small risk do guaranteed or Balanced funds if you do not want a kobo to loss from your capital while you get something better than a savings account inerest.. Do Money Market fund and relax |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by RealityShot: 11:50am On Oct 30, 2017 |
dandollar1: I thought the fall in treasury bills rate is suppose to affect it. you can sleep after investing in money market fund. why? Because it is mostly invested in treasury bills which has 100% capital security. thats why the banks can tell you that your capital in a MMF is 100% guaranteed. the price of TBills does affect MMf rates, but because some part of the funds are used for other secured, higher yeilding investment windows not ordinarily availble to individuals, the rates can go higher than TBills rates some times. another reason for higher rates is, remember that Tbills pay interest upfront? yes, the mmf managers reinvest the interest to earn more and sometimes share those interests with us to make the fund more attractive. the beauty of MMF is that you can start with N5000 and add more as you get more unlike treasury bills that you can only add a minimum of 100k at a time. Ain't MMF a beauty?! |

EMMAACHILE: Since they are over a month and didn't start from day one, I advise you supplement with organic. Meaning use your multivitamins and supplement with herbs. That mix would have been better if used earlier. This is what I advise
Use hot pepper three days in a row in water (2 pepper in 10 litres grinded). You can mix with bitter leaf or pawpaw leaf raw. Check the stool for two days and see the composition. If its solid and white, then you are good to go Use garlic cloves in water for the next one week (1 cloves in 1 drinker). This will build their immunity overtime. You need to use it continuously for at least a week. This composition will work as antibiotic, anticocci and deworm at the same time. Update the thread on the progress.
After all this, then moringa and co will come in. Moringa is best used to prevent and not best to cure. ok thanks..! i will do the easy one on the next batch then. Arigato!! |

EMMAACHILE: What do you really want? Supplement, antibiotics, etc How old are your broilers? 50 are 6wks and 50 are 4wks old.. i believe "you" (or organicfoods) said that the moringa/mango/pawpaw mix can serve as multivit and antibiotics.. Which can be used from day one to end, serving all purposes. thanks |
