BusinessRe: Businessman's Wooden Safe Caught Fire In Lagos by RedCapChief(m): 6:02pm On Jan 30, 2016
Who still uses a wooden safe to keep money? Trying to accumulate earthly riches in weak vessels is futile.

If he hates banks, then let him buy 10 big tins of Milo and use the konkom as alternative

OR
forget earthly riches and focus on heavenly riches.

Honestly, these politicians don't know how to hide money. They're always giving it to their sons or relatives. Smarter people use proxies who are unrelated and always deal in cash.

BusinessRe: Buhari: BDC Is A Scam And Drain To Nigeria by RedCapChief(m): 8:20pm On Jan 29, 2016
Whether the BDCs are a scam is a debatable point.

What is actually worrying is how Buhari seems to have taken charge of making technical decisions about our economy. I stand to be corrected, but he doesn't have any qualification in economics/finance or any allied discipline.
The other day, he was quoted as not being "convinced about the benefits of devaluation." I don't know if he has the technical skill to make the understand financial jargon. If it was Emefiele that was not convinced, that is understandable as he is a professional. But Buhari??

PoliticsRe: Dino Melaye Blasts Obasanjo, Says He Exposed National Assembly To Corruption by RedCapChief(m): 7:45pm On Jan 28, 2016
It was Atiku that introduced it to the National Assembly. Back then, when $5,000 was enough to bribe a HOR member.

PoliticsRe: Wike Celebrates His Supreme Court Victory (Photos) by RedCapChief(m): 7:10am On Jan 28, 2016
People will soon start hailing PMB for this. The Supreme Court is a group moving like a whole. It is probably more difficult to influence them than the lower judges. They have to justify all their judgements and it is their duty to set legal precedent.
Giving Dakuku victory would have required a modification of the Electoral Act to involve Card.

Besides, APC won court judgements during the PDP era.

Thank you. Another Q I have is this: Assume xyz registrars handles stocks abc and def. I already have an e-mandate for abc, do i also need to submit an e-mandate for def if I buy the stock.

Shocking. We will be keenly listening to the supremo on Friday to see what the other 6 judges who had adjudicated on the issues previously missed. Their lordships have once again validated the usefulness of the Nigerian politician's oft-quoted mantra of "win first and everything else can be taken care of later".
Exactly! Just win first and then fight for the rest. Saraki understands that lesson well.

PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Upholds Wike’s Election As Rivers Governor by RedCapChief(m):
No surprise here. Ambode was declared elected despite the whole card-reader wahala, so it makes no legal sense to remove Wike because of the same card-reader.
The Supreme Court has to educate these lower courts on legal precedents. All these conflicting judgements create a crisis of confidence.

I feel sorry for Ms. Semenitari, the acting head of NDDC, who was put in that post to bring money for Dakuku's re-election bid. I think she will be removed soon.

I also feel sorry for Dakuku who is going to start playing ball in Division 2.

I also feel sorry for that Prof. who decamped to APC at the last moment, shouting that Wike paid him to indict Amaechi. Let him better run because Wike will seize his house and car and pension and anything 'seize-able'

It now remains that silly decision from the Appeal Court in Taraba

While it is good to condemn the army for their alleged excessive show of force in dealing with the Shiites, it is good to also remember that those guys were not exactly saints. The atrocities that they committed in the name of their sect are documented.

That's why he has not been working alone. Some credible people are @ home while he can afford to travel. UAE's visit has started yielding fruits from the exposure of our funds. Representatives from the USA are here just one of his several visits. We must strengthen our relationships with these countries.
Which credible people at home? The ones he called noisemakers. The ones who are just there to rubberstamp his decisions. The ones who can't challenge Baba when he wants to take a bad decision.

As for fruits, I don't know if it is udala or soursop. As at the end of December, the CBN confirmed that they had not received any recovered funds from the famous "anti-corruption fight."

We can strengthen our relationship with foreign countries without our President visiting each of them. Since Baba wants to be the idea-generator of our country, then let him stay in Abuja and lead. Let the noisemaker ministers travel.

The problem is the Nigeria prosecutors that are so naive, unprofessional and ill-trained on how to pursue criminal cases.
They may have multiple degrees appended to their names, but they are ignorant as door knobs. They only show
up when there is noise to be made on a local level. Isn't it shameful how suspects and criminals are using the prosecutors
to mop the floor? Even with a truckload of evidence, the prosecuting attorneys cannot build a good case and suspects
walk. They only resort to crude armtwisting tactics because their brains are tabula rasa.

Compile the charges against NOI, approach a court and have the court issue subpoena so that she will testify under
oath. How hard is it for these folks to think? They think prosecution is effective in the media. The ICC maneuver is
puerile. Falana should know better.
Exactly a point that needs to be made. Those guys at EFCC are not skilled at their jobs. Ebun Adegboruwa went to EFCC office in Lagos. They did not have tables in some offices! They had to pay for stationery from their pockets. Files scattered everywhere. I hear what they do is arrest you on a suspicion, intimidate you into writing a statement and then prosecute you with it.
When they jam four SANS like Timipre Sylva came to court with some years back, their infantile prosecution will just belch and quench.
