mascot87: On that note, we can conclude that GEJ killed Yar'adua so as to become the president.Let him come and defend himself.Clown undecided
Mumu response,

As VP, GEJ could not even come 10 metres near Yaradua, not with all the Northern aides that surrounded him. Every one knows Yaradua was a sickly fellow with liver or kidney issues. If anyone is to be held responsible for Yaradua's death,it's still the same Obasanjo, for exposing a very sick man to the huge stress of running a dysfunctional country like Nigeria.

fdigital: Having gone through their letters the question that come
to mind is of what benefit its to the masses?
Was it not the 'masses' that demanded GEJ responds to Obasanjo's 18 page letter?
PoliticsRe: President Goodluck Jonathan's Reply To Obasanjo's Letter by RedEboe(m): 8:34am On Dec 23, 2013
Passing Shot: No doubt the reply was well scripted, balanced in many areas and dodgy on other areas as well. But for you to believe that GEJ is ever capable of putting this reply together shows that you can easily be decieved. Sorry to say, GEJ is not that intelligent to personally put this up though kudos to his team for a good job. Nevertheless, I am not taken in by all the garbage here. He conveniently avoided corruption allegation of Stella Oduah, Farouk Lawan, Eteh and other glaring and indefensible corruption cases. I have said it before, OBJ is a tainted messanger that cannot be trusted to successfully deliver the cleanest message even to the most corrupt person in the world. He is "on your own" (OYO) on this.
Yet he is President Commander in chief of the armed forces of Federal republic of Nigeria? You wey you intelligent pass,what/who are you? grin

mojeer678: It's indeed worrisome that Abati who presumably penned this epistolary effort wouldn't know the basic principle of the hole; that if you find yourself in one, you stop digging.

OBJ has cunningly drawn GEJ into the morass of dirty politicking which the latter and his cabinet, kitchen and otherwise, have no clue as to the endgame.

That OBJ is a cunning fox needs no repeating but this purported response by GEJ has done more harm than good to GEJ. Abati, Okupe, Maku and others involved in handling GEJ's press, media and official communications should be sacked immediately for unprofessional conduct and not protecting their principal from the obvious trap set up for him. And they walked straight into that trap. Do, you're damned, Don't you're equally damned.

A more appropriate tactic would have been that of the COZA pastor who is still preparing 'a robust response' to the sexual allegations made by a female member in his church.

Was the letter-writer thinking that we all suffer from a mass-amnesia concerning the deeds of diamond deziani, oduah-gate, rotimi amechi palaver and the tompolo-nimasa imbroglio when he attempted to paint this administration as the most upright since independence?

The folly of comparing OBJ's administration with its shortcomings could have arisen only from an inebriated thinking. The new lows that these individuals are taking the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is unfortunate, very unfortunate.
Oh please shut up.
How can you compare the se><ual escapades of a Pentecostal pastor with less than 10,000 church followers with allegations affecting national security and the President of a nation of 160 million people?

Prolonged silence on the Presidents part would have been suicidal, not just for him alone but for the entire country.

Una well at all?

adegwurulez: Abati so you have this kind of talent and you were wasting it on twitter?

Back to the matter, if I was an alien coming into this country and reading this letter, I'll prolly think naija has the best leader on earth. All na hogwash sha. Gej, I respect you and your office but I expected you to ignore obj and reply him in actions. Its all good sha, expect my letter soonest.
Are you not one of the same people that described GEJ's silence as consent to Obj's allegations? U people sef?

GEJ may end up being one of Nigeria's greatest politician/president ever. Unlike Obasanjo, who as President insulted a small boy musician on national TV for singing 'Nigeria jaga jaga'.

GEJ did not have to insult or character assassinate Obasanjo directly,he allowed a more potent and painful source to do the insulting,Obasanjo's own daughter. grin

And now GEJ comes up with a very articulate and matured response, which may seem ordinary to the normal eye but coded with very strong messages. E.g, GEJ has just indirectly told the world that Obj may have had a hand in Murtala Mohammed's Assassination

Suljosh: you must be D.U.M.B like your Ð.U.M.B a.s.s president, for you to think he's the one that wrote that letter. F.o.o.l.i.s.h and gullible nigerians. Use.le.ss country, fool of criminals who only come to internet and bark like a toothless dog.
You must be a BIGGER F000000000L to think that Obasanjo wrote his 18 page open letter all by himself.
OBJ attended Open University at his old age, still his letter outsmarts that of our PHDeed presido! For those who havent read the reply, the summary is this:
1. Baba, you accused me of doing a lot of things, you provided evidence, but Baba, it seems as if you and others are planning against me ooo. Even with the glaring evidences you produced, I did not do it. Take my words for it.
2. My government has achieved a lot in terms of security. Baba, forget the fact that Boko Haram is still killing the people I'm supposed to give security to. My government is working hard, but Boko Haram was founded in 2002, so you cannot blame me really.
3. Baba, your TRIBESMAN, Fela sang about corruption, we are all corrupt.

My Opinion: GEJ is not intelligent enough to lead Nigeria. He has zero achievement and zero evidence to back up his ineptitude. His only forte is playing tribal card or acting the victim to win sympathy. Unfortunately for him, he's been caught out after 2011 elections.
Honestly dont think you read it.

Kairoseki77: To be honest, I am disappointed in this response.

1. It is obvious that Abati wrote this letter and not GEJ.

2. I just realized that Jonathan probably isn't smart enough to write this letter. Which just makes me sad. sad
Femi Fani Kayode and Sanusi Lamido also helped in drafting Obasanjo's 18 page letter..so,kini big deal?
