PoliticsRe: @bbcafrica Changes Gear Again, now Reports "NA Kills 70 Boko Haram Members." by RedEboe(op): 11:15pm On Sep 01, 2014
Unblockable: Mynd44 wouldn't see this now. He wouldn't also see where the Thief Native Doctor of E-PDP referred to APC e-members as e-goats, but he was quick to ban some posters for referring to PDP members as e-bastards yesterday.

Meanwhile, I wouldn't say anything concerning this because no normal human being should be rejoicing over the failure of our Military, be you PDP or APC. But I'm surprised that most of us here on Nairaland are always quick to open threads immediately we see it on BBC or CNN that the NA is losing the fight against this deadly set.

Why on earth would a normal human being be celebrating the seizure of Bama by Boko Haram?! We know the President ain't trying, but that doesn't mean we should be celebrating evil. Some people were rejoicing when BBC tweeted that Bama has been seized by Boko Haram, when we. Should all say NO.

The army vowed to defend the country in times of trouble, good and fine. But, we should all know they are human being. GEJ has bastardized them to the extent that people now ridicule them. How can over 60 military men be deployed to Osun alone for election just to intimidate opposition leaders when Sambisa needs them more?! Anyways sha, I still say Kudos to the Nigerian Army [not cowards]!
Well said, though i dont necessarily agree with u that GEJ bastardized our army.
Politics@bbcafrica Changes Gear Again, now Reports "NA Kills 70 Boko Haram Members." by RedEboe(op): 10:14pm On Sep 01, 2014
Barely 2 hours after tweeting that Boko Haram has taken over Bama, @BBCAfrica a few minutes ago has just tweeted that the Nigerian Army has killed over 70 Boko Haram insurgents.

You'ld recall that the initial tweet by @BBCAfrica inspired an anti-government website SAHARA REPORTERS to fabricate and twist information in favour of Boko Haram insurgents-suggesting Bama had fallen into terrorists hands.

A friendly fire which occured earlier in the day causing residents of Bama military barracks to 'briefly evacuate' their premises was capitalized on by Sahara Reporters which interpreted some Nigerian soldiers BRIEFLY evacuating their military barracks as fleeing.

Sahara reporters claimed that 500 soldiers fled from the Barracks into Maiduguri.

Sadly, Sahara Reporters forgot that this 'friendly fire' occured while the battle was raging and there's no way 500 soldiers will sit put in a military barracks while a fierce battle rages in town. Even as reserves, they'll be alert and strategically located.

Bama has not fallen!

Fellow Nigerians,

I just listened to the so-called Australian negotiators' interview and HE NEVER MENTIONED IHEJIRIKA'S NAME as a Boko Haram sponsor.

But the Aussie actually mentioned members of THE OPPOSITION as Boko Haram sponsors.

Why then or how then did El Rufai quickly run to Facebook and mention Ihejirika's name in a post and like a PLANNED assault the rest of the social media and opposition friendly newspapers followed suite?

This must have been a brilliant way of dilluting the revelations made by the so-called Aussie negotiator, knowing fully well that Nigerians NEVER verify information before going to town with it.

This is amazing!

PoliticsWhy Didnt Our Negotiator Expose Modu Sheriff When He Was Still An APC Cheiftain? by RedEboe(op): 12:46pm On Aug 29, 2014
Nigerians must also realize that 'white people' can also be bought over.

Modu Sheriff until recently, has always been a member of the opposition from the days of ANPP-he joins PDP "very recently" and all this trash about him starts coming out.

I guess the dirty slap Modu Sheriff gave Tinubu during one of their last APC meetings is still hunting jagaban and his disciples.

Let's just be clear about one thing, all of Modu Sheriff's alleged crimes were committed when he was a bonafide member of ANPP/APC.

As for Ihejirika's involvement, is it not a shame that this so called Aussie would quote some 'unnamed' Boko Haram members claiming the former COAS as one of their sponsors?

You mean ISLAMIC Boko Haram would take orders from an IGBO CHRISTIAN man? Including suicide bombing ordershuh Very very ridiculous!

Everyone knows that during Ihejirika's tenure he fought Boko Haram to a stand still and wiped out most of their top commander, including the notoriously annoying Abu Qaqa.

The original Abubakar Shekau was killed during Ihejirika's tenure.

Even the evil 'Northern elders' became scared that Ihejirika would one day come after them.

The Chairman of Thisday Newspapers 'Nduka' has fallen out of favour with GEJ's administration ever since Thisday Newspaper premises was bombed in Abuja few years ago-the culprits were caught and they revealed some kind of a complex inside job.

The Nigerian government also refused to grant Arise TV broadcast licence in Nigeria-Arise TV is also owned by Thisday Newspapers' Chairman.

Again, i advise Nigerians to take this Australians' revelations with a pinch of salt, because if this broke white dude truly had integrity,it is the major international news outlets like the CNNs, BBCs or SKY NEWs that would be interviewing him...not Arise TV.

This is my own opinion.

Are u saying Nigerian soldiers ran several kilometres into Cameroun on foot?

Or you think Boko Haram will catch a glimpse of fleeing Nigerian soldiers and just relax to film them running away? Instead of wasting them with long range ammunition?

Or have you forgotten that Boko Haram also possesses Nigerian military uniforms and could have easily stage managed a film shoot of 'fleeing' Nigerian soldiers for gulible 1diots like you.

Listen to your F00lish self calling on South West to have contigency plans? A region where accidental bomb explosions at Ikeja amoury in 2001 killed over a thousand people that were no where near the site of the disaster.

PoliticsRe: Made In Ghana Cars Goes International - Live On Aljazeera by RedEboe(m): 4:20pm On Aug 26, 2014
Here's what I gathered from the Aljazeera article.

-Kantanka can only boast of 5 fully assembled/manufactured vehicles.
- Staff strength, 20 semi-skilled people.
- Capacity, 6 to 10 cars a day which is in actual fact not feasible with staff strength of 20 semi-skilled labourers.

...with these few points,no investor not even the Ghanaian government will take Kantanka or Apostle 'whateva' seriously.

Lets take a look at Innoson Nigeria:
-Staff strength: over 6,000 skilled and semi-skilled labourers
- Capacity: almost 100 vehicles a day.
- Market: Innoson already supplies various vehicles to the Nigerian state and federal governments, also to corporate and private individuals.

CONCLUSION

KANTANKA is busy building INNOVATIONS while INNOSON is building a BUSINESS.

Which makes more sense?

Please tune in to BBC world service scroll right now if you have access to cable TV.

They've changed their earlier reportage that 480 Nigerian troops 'flee' in to Cameroun. Now BBC is seemingly confirming Nigeria's DHQ's press release.

Perharps Camerounian military authorities where just scared of having a large amount of Nigerian troops on their territory ,thus they released the defection story to save face.

Also Boko Haram agents in Cameroun may also have initiated this propaganda.
PoliticsRe: Defence Headquarters Statement About Nigerian Troops In Cameroon. by RedEboe(m): 7:55pm On Aug 25, 2014
komekn: There is a current co-operation and joint multi national forces agreement with Chad , Niger and Cameroon that was instituted through Holland in Paris a few moths ago.

Part of that process has seen cross border patrols and joint operations, it would be expected that there would be occasional but regular cross border incursions into each other's territories in pursuit of Boko Haram insurgents. There would be no requirement therefore for a surrender of weapons from such incursions which are co-operative and not hostile.

I am baffled beyond reason as the explanations presented by the NA just do not stand up to rational appraisal, I'm sorry but I find these propositions of events to be questionable, particularly a we have known the NA to tell blatant lies and then when caught retract their earlier statements.

Lets see as the real truth unfolds
You are very wrong...members of a multi-national force are the ones blended with armed forces of signatory states of a military pact. Members of a multinational force are the only ones authorized to part take in cross border operations-these set of officers have either distinct uniforms or badges.

However, members of a national army (not registered as part of a multinational force) CANNOT wield their arms in a foreign territory except they are part of an invasion or something like that.

So please SHUT UP and have faith in God and the Nigerian armed forces.
PoliticsRe: Defence Headquarters Statement About Nigerian Troops In Cameroon. by RedEboe(m): 7:20pm On Aug 25, 2014
When we warn Nigerians that Boko Haram has an extensive propaganda machinery being supported by a section of the local & foreign media, people doubt.

This statement by Defense head quarters makes perfect sense. If soldiers wanted to defect or desert they would have easily disposed of their weapons / uniforms and blended with the local fleeing populace. SIMPLE

God bless Nigeria.

Na so we see am o. 'Publisher' and a few others were banned in order to curtail traffic on the controversial front page thread (created by Publisher).

They only allowed a few fictitious Nairalanders to post a few irrelevant jargons on the last page of the thread.

The thread titled: "Boko Haram's latest propaganda: Hoisting of flags" must have rattled a lot of powerful nerves in the media.

Meanwhile, Boko Haram has now FINALLY released a new video claiming an islamic caliphate on 'captured' Gworza...the 'opposition' media has already started 'celebrating' the news.

Meanwhile,we had hoped Shekau would shoot his latest video at the premises of Gworza LG secretariat but alas, the video was shot inside his usual bush.

Anyways, NL moderators, kindly ban me too o!
PoliticsGej's YOUWIN Is Most Successful Youth Empowerment Scheme In Nigerian History. by RedEboe(op): 7:56pm On Jan 09, 2014
Previous Nigerian governments since independence have always had one fraudulent Youth empowerment scheme or another which served basically as a conduit pipe of corruption and an avenue to reward the children of their cronies.

GEJ with his economic team led by Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala initiated the YOUWIN scheme in 2011, a transparent initiative where young Nigerian youths were challenged to create convincing business plans that can attract governments funding. This was a remarkable breakaway from the past where a group of unproductive jobless youths were mobilized and given monthly allowances for doing absolutely nothing.

GEJ's YOUWIN has empowered thousands of Nigerian youths, many becoming beneficiaries of the scheme based on pure merit. Many Nigerians including those belonging to the opposition will attest to the fact that they know (or have heard of) at least one person that benefited from YOUWIN without any Abuja connection.

Personally,I know two of them.

While some opposition governors are busy organizing mass weddings, rewarding street trading widows and encouraging children hawking Plantain chips, Jonathan through YOUWIN has created a youth empowerment template which any sensible Nigerian leader (Governor) should emulate.

PoliticsFrance Is Funding Boko Haram, Using Her Kidnapped Citizens! by RedEboe(op): 3:18pm On Dec 31, 2013
How come most of the foreigners being kidnapped by Boko Haram in North Eastern Nigeria and North Western Cameroon tend to be French citizens?

It does seem that the French government deliberately plant her citizens in these regions for the sole purpose of allowing them get kidnapped.
Once Ransom is paid, the French hostage is released and a few weeks later Boko Haram embarks on vicious and daring attacks on Nigeria's military installments with new sophisticated weaponry.

France has never been a friend to Nigeria. As a matter of fact Nigeria's dominance in West Africa's economy and politics has always been a threat to French interests.

No other western nation would love to see Nigeria go down more than France.

Our Nigerian leaders should please take note. Next time a French citizen is Kidnapped in Northern Nigeria, the Nigerian governments response henceforth should be, "GO AND DIE"

Cameroon gunmen free French priest Georges Vandenbeusch

Boko Haram 'was paid hostage ransom'

A French Catholic priest kidnapped in Cameroon on 13 November has been released, French President Francois Hollande said in an official statement.

Fr Georges Vandenbeusch, 42, was kidnapped by gunmen in northern Cameroon near the border with Nigeria.

The armed Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram, which operates in the area, later said it was holding him.

Mr Hollande thanked the authorities in Cameroon and Nigeria for their help in getting the priest released.

His message expressed special thanks to Cameroon's President Paul Biya.

map
A French diplomat quoted by the AFP news agency said the priest was released early on Tuesday in northern Cameroon. "He is now on a plane with the Cameroonian army and will be handed over to the French ambassador in Cameroon," the source said.

There was no further explanation about his release.

Mr Hollande said French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius would fly to Yaounde in Cameroon to bring Fr Vandenbeusch back to France as soon as possible.

The president added that six French nationals remain hostage in Mali and Syria, and he expressed support for their families, saying he would strive to win their release.

Earlier this year, seven members of a French family called Moulin-Fournier - four of them children - were abducted by Boko Haram in northern Cameroon and held hostage for two months.

Boko Haram was paid more than $3m (£2m) before releasing the family, according to a confidential Nigerian government report seen by Reuters news agency. There was no official confirmation of that ransom.

How are they going to cut telecommunications...by taking over NITEL? cheesy

And then the people of South-South will sit back and allow the adventurers displace their own son and have access to their oil?
Abi you people really think Rotimi Amaechi is a force to be reckoned with in the South-South region?

LOOOOOOOL.

If the Military could not strike during the January 2012 subsidy strikes when the whole nation went against GEJ,is it now?
GEJ's core support base is Northern Christians and South East and South-South.

-Northern Christians dominate the core section of the Nigerian army, including combatants.
-A South Easterner is Chief of Army staff.
-South-South owns the oil,wetin remain?

In Southern and Eastern Africa many young people are fascinated about pidgin English.

However,no other group of people idolizes Nigerians more than Ghanaians; they love us so much that they just have to bring themselves to hate us in public. PoliticsNo Fuel Scarcity This Christmas; GEJ Is Working, Haters Are Writing by RedEboe(op): 9:14am On Dec 24, 2013
During Obasanjo's era,he chose festive periods such as Christmas,Easter and Sallah to either increase the price of fuel or create an artificial scarcity in order to force Nigerians to embrace subsidy removals.

President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 succeeded in partially removing fuel subsidy in spite of monumental opposition. Subsidy fraudsters are being prosecuted.

Since January 2012 till date,Nigeria has not experienced any major fuel scarcity, except for those induced by oil workers and tanker drivers strike.

Today is Christmas eve,and there's abundant fuel in almost every Nigerian city, including Maiduguri,Damaturu and Yola where the threat of Boko Haram remains real.

Who says GEJ is not working? Say the truth and let the devil (and APC) be ashamed. grin grin grin
