Celebrities › Re: Genevieve Nnaji At The City People Awards 10yrs Ago (Pic) by Redman44(m): 6:12am On Jan 28, 2013
Things change, poster. So I am not surprised that Genevieve Nnaji has upped her ante. She has done well for herself over the years by featuring in movies and endorsing products in Nigeria. I am really proud of her as she is one of the best actresses in Africa right now. I only pray that she will settle down soon and raise a family with a loving husband. In Nigeria, women who stay single for long are not well regarded and they are always viewed suspiciously. Genevieve rocks though cool cool cool.
Music/Radio › Re: P-Square: Kings Of Copy, Sampling And Overlifting by Redman44(m): 8:08am On Nov 25, 2012
There is nothing new under the sun. What matters is the presentation and new ideas that are added to an existing song or lyric. Most of the foreign artistes we admire in Nigeria also sample and copy from music of the 50's, 60's and 70's. What they do is that they infuse their own ideas, beats, Rap bars and choruses into the songs and pronto, we have a new song cool cool 8. Like I said earlier on, it is presentation that matters. Cheers.
Romance › Re: Ladies! Will You Date A Nice Guy? by Redman44(m): 9:02pm On Nov 21, 2012
You can say what you like about nice guys, but the truth is that many nice guys are accomplished people. They are often geeks or serious people who tend to become very successful in their fields and careers. You can't really compare nice guys and bad guys when it comes to intelligence and innovation. Many ladies don't really know what they want in life. I know what I want in life and I'm a nice guy. Being nice does not mean being stupid. Cheers.
Fashion › Re: Pictures Of World Miss University Nigeria 2012 by Redman44(m): 3:49pm On Nov 16, 2012
She is not that pretty. I think she is average looking with a good body shape. Tobi Phillips won't make the top ten in a Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria Beauty ( MGBN )contest or a Miss Nigeria Competition. She is just okay. Cheers.
Education › Re: Secondary Student Gamblers Clash In Ibadan by Redman44(m): 5:03pm On Oct 19, 2012
Common gambling grin grin grin grin
I'm just laughing. Back in the 90's in Ijebu-Ode, Secondary schools were always at war with themselves. Dangerous weapons were freely used with guys being wounded and beaten into pulp by their rivals from other schools. I remember my last year in secondary school when I was writing my SSCE Exams. The Principal of my school had to call in soldiers to stand guard because some of my mates had threatened to beat some teachers after the last paper. The soldiers placed themselves strategically all around the school compound, and even up to Lagos Garage in their bid to stop the madness that had been planned. I'm talking about Moslem Comprehensive High School in 1995. Memories cool cool cool!!.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Major Differences Between An Entrepreneur And An Employee by Redman44(m): 7:23pm On Oct 14, 2012
I became an entrepreneur some months ago and I've discovered that being an entrepreneur takes a lot of focus and determination. I really want to succeed in my line of business, so I put in a lot of effort on a daily basis. Employees and Entrepreneurs need one another. An Entrepreneur cannot succeed without resourceful employees. One thing I have discovered is that the quality of Nigerian workers is very low. Graduates are not taking enough time to develop themselves skills wise before applying for jobs. So I keep making corrections and fine tuning the articles my employees submit on a daily basis. I manage a Media Company, so to speak. I am also working for other companies but I run my own company too. I am happy that at least I am helping the Nigerian economy by providing jobs for some people. Nigerians in diaspora need to embrace entrepreneurship because the environment they live in is conducive for business. They should start something no matter how small it is. Cheers.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: John Terry Retires From International Football by Redman44(m): 6:20am On Sep 24, 2012
John Terry's retirement from International Football makes me very happy. At least, he would be able to concentrate more on his duties as Captain of Chelsea FC. Chelsea FC is going to make history this season by defending the UEFA Champions League title and winning the Premiership at the same time. I can see the Chelsea Mafia's hand in the decision taken by John Terry. Terry knows England will not do well at International level for the next 10 years, so he has decided to focus more on his club duties. I know Terry has his own problems but I don't think he is a racist. Cheers.
Sports › Re: Witches And Wizards Responsible For Okagbare’s Failure by Redman44(m): 3:55pm On Aug 07, 2012
Very Archaic Thinking shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked.

Blessing Okagbare was just not good enough to win the 100 Metres Women's Final. Mary Onyali was better than Okagbare in her active days, yet she did not medal in the 100 Metres event at the Olympics. She was the African Champion and Commonwealth Games Medalist though cool cool cool. Winning at the Olympics needs solid preparation and Mental Stability. Cheers.
Christianity Etc › Re: -_- by Redman44(m): 5:29pm On Aug 05, 2012
Hmn. I've been through this phase before. The lady said she had not heard from God concerning our future together. I did all I could to make her see that my love for her was genuine. This lady is still single today. 6 years down the line. I've moved on with my life and it is now that she wants to reconnect with me through Facebook. I was nothing to her before I left Nigeria for the UK. Was she really hearing from God back then shocked shocked shocked? Some Women and their Self-Centred behaviour. God gave us the brains to think and if you find someone that is honest, hardworking and focused, why waste time in asking God if he is the right one for you? Na wa O.

We need to take over the game in the 4th Quarter. Can anyone watching the game live tell me if Ade Dagunduro is on the bench? Tony Skinn is not doing too well today. We need to start scoring those 3 pointers.

@Nwaenugu,

The Lithuanian Fans are scared of Nigeria and that is why they are booing the Nigerian Team. Their boos will only motivate our boys. I see D'Tigers winning this game. God Dey.

Celebrities › Re: Tonto Dike Calls Ini Edo 'Desperate Old Cargo' by Redman44(m): 5:04am On Jul 23, 2012
I prefer Ini Edo to Tonto Dike. Ini Edo acts naturally and looks relaxed on set. She also does her work professionally. Tonto Dike is a good actress no doubt but she is not a Professional. She forces herself to deliver her lines and she does not keep to contractual agreements with Film Producers. It seems her pretty face is what gets her roles in the Nollywood Flicks. Tonto needs to step up her game or she will be eclipsed by younger and more talented Actresses very soon. Cheers.
Sports › Re: Fire Guts Gbenga Okunowo 's Home In Ibadan by Redman44(m): 4:52am On Jul 23, 2012
I pray Gbenga Okunowo gets the compensation he deserves from P.H.C.N. The fact that he once played for the Super Eagles should make the Federal Government wade into the matter and ensure that he gets compensated. The guy lost a lot of valuable items in the fire incident and I really don't know where he is going to start from cry cry cry. I really feel for him because it looks like all that he has toiled for has been consumed by the fire. He played for Barcelona FC though he was not a first team member for a long period. I wonder why he did not move to a smaller club in France or Germany where he would have been able to make his mark. I wish him the best in life.
Celebrities › Re: Eucharia Anunobi's New Look: Hot Or Not? by Redman44(m): 4:42am On Jul 23, 2012
I am happy for her. At least, youths in the country have one less bad role model to grapple with. Eucharia Anunobi is still an Actress and she released her own film some Months ago. Becoming an Evangelist will not stop her from pursuing her first love. Back in her days, she made the headlines of Nigerian Celebrity Magazines for all the wrong reasons. She was seen as a LovePeddler by many people in Nigeria because of the racy roles she played in the Movies she featured in. Nigerian Youths need good role models presently and I'm happy Eucharia has changed for good. Cheers.
Business › Re: Top 10 Nigerian Brands by Redman44(m): 8:57pm On Jul 16, 2012
Interesting Thread cheesy cheesy cheesy What about Knorr Cubes? Knorr Cubes are very popular in Nigeria and at a certain stage it sold more than the Maggi Cubes. I feel Knorr Cubes still sell more than Maggi Cubes in some parts of Nigeria cool cool cool. Here are 5 Brands that should be on that list.

1. Knorr Cubes
2. 33 Lager Beer ( Go to any Beer Parlour and 3 out of every 5 people drinking Beer are handling bottles of 33 Lager Beer ).
3. Darbur Herbal Toothpaste.
4. Bic Pen ( Bic Pen continues to outsell other Pen Brands in Nigeria )
5. Maltina ( Very Popular Malt Drink. Other Malt Drinks are also called Maltina ).

These top 5 Brands including Dicon Salt should have made the original list on this thread. Cheers.
Travel › Re: . by Redman44(m): 6:46pm On Jul 11, 2012
The UK will eventually lose to Canada when it comes to International Education. Canadian Universities and Colleges are now aggressive in recruiting foreign students ( Mostly Asians and Africans ) to study with them. Canada also makes it possible for you to become a Permanent Resident quickly than the UK. It is also cheaper to study in Canada than the UK. I don't understand the rush to study in UK Universities with all the hassles International Students are made to go through here sad sad sad. If you insist on studying in the UK, Please go to Scotland. You will be able to survive there and live decently as a student than in South East England. Education is also very cheap in Germany but you need to be able to speak and write German 100% before you can access the opportunities in Germany's Education sector. So why don't you enrol for German Language Courses at Goethe Institut in Lagos while you're still young? I regret not enrolling for German and French Language Classes before leaving Nigeria. If you can speak French, your application to study in Canada will be easier. Speaking a foreign language helps a lot. Cheers.
Sports › Re: Olympics: Nigeria Basketball Team Qualify For London 2012 by Redman44(m): 10:04am On Jul 09, 2012
Coach Ayo Bakare should not make too many changes to this Squad for the Olympic Games. The boys are already bonding together and bringing in new faces will start the gelling process all over again. I believe Ike Diogu, The Aminu Brothers, Obasohan, Ade Dagunduro, Oyedeji, Tony Skinn etc can get the job done in London against Argentina, USA, France etc. We just need 1-2 new but very good players who can add some spice to the team. I'll be cheering D'Tigers in London. Cheers.
