You keep going back to ONE book. The book is just a collection of uplifting stories. There is nothing scientific about it. It does not explain how a dead person is brought to life. Why is it that in this modern day we live in such miracles do not take place any more? It sure would be nice because that would make believing a whole lot easier ...

Everything in the good book has to be taken in good faith, that is the basis of (any) religion. Any attempt to explain science through that would be futile. They are both diverging but can coexist IMHO.

Oddly enough, if you substitute "day" for 1 or 2 billion years, you have a pretty good record of the scientific basis of the creation of the universe:

Day 1: Light - the Big Bang
Day 2: Atmosphere / Firmament - Gaseous clouds forming stars
Day 3: Dry ground & plants - Gas clouds solidifying into rocky planets. (not sure about the plants though )
Day 4: Sun, moon & stars - I believe our scribes got their numbering backwards (kinda hard to grow the plants in Day3 without sunlight)
Day 5: Birds & sea animals - Cambrian explosion - this is when life took off, according to the fossil records
Day 6: Land animals & humans - creatures evolved, some took to land, and few evolved to homo sapiens
Day 7: The Sabbath of rest - don't know when this is... the Universe is theorized to be getting colder and dying as it expands, so...

OP. Sorry for your predicament. Based on your account, I side with you, you are being unfairly treated in this marriage/relationship. I don’t have a solution except just advice that you should not be a pushover but still strive to maintain peace for the sake of your marriage/kids - find that balance.
Now for some preaching from my end, what I will say will be bitter. Why did you have six kids when you obviously cannot afford that many? This is a general problem in Nigeria/Africa - having more kids than the couple can afford to care for both financially and with their time. Future parents, please take note.
