Mattswaggz:The Saudis were against regime change in Iran this way, and the destabilizing effect it will have over the monarchies in the Gulf states so they prevailed on him not to exploit the opportunity to force the revolution out. I think the lessons of past wars and the consequential unmanageable peace is well recognized in the west. That the people themselves will decide their destinies and when the right time comes they will chart their own course. The repressive regime in Iran is obviously on its last legs and will soon collapse on itself and the people like all people of the world seeking liberty, will be free. The lessons to all humanity is clear. Freedom is an unalienable right. No one owns the soul of another. No one can command the conscience of another equally created by God. |
Reminds one of what happened to the trainee Delta nurse in the now infamous 'awa mama' songspiration. She should have equally lent onto the adverse politico to cash out. |
..In thanking his boss the man in the first picture will be like, '..if only Oga knows what is in my Cayman Island bank account..' |
This is where I end my viewing for tonight. More important things to do. Wish the SE best of luck. |
Guys, so what is happening here. Are we playing well. Watching the Blues at Stamford Bridge first half instead. |
Honestly the match is of low quality, not befitting of a continental semi final. |
Poor play from both teams so far. |
Couli on a card. Senegal is done. He will be lucky to survive this match as he will be peppered by Marmoush. Misses the final if Senegal manages this match. |
SpaceX:To keep the humongous cash flow which is the collosal defence budget running. The business of insecurity. |
nairalanda1:So you agree that it is not only a question of not collecting enough but of what is done with the so called inadequate. Perhaps now you realise that collecting more may mean even more funny furniture, more scandals. Until the people are truly in charge of governance the existing systems will continue to embarrass those that pretend it works well. |
Just pity the taxpayer in that state. Many of them unable to cater well for their families but forced to swallow this bitter pill because of herd mentality. The Lord is your strength. |
Perhaps he should take over waste management in Abuja. The city is getting messier by the week. Fly tipping with audacity in places you never imagined before. |
Ttalk:As usual corruption always seeks association. |
I thought Mali was a former french colony. Why are the windows of the police station in classic English proportions. Anyway, learnt a new lingo...'Charlatanism'...just...wow... ![]() |
correctguy101:Exactly. The wage is is low for the UK and low for a similar, equivalent lifestyle in Nigeria. In both cases it cannot support a family so is not sustainable. |
nairalanda1:Hmmm.... 30 pounds will get you roughly 253 Band A units in Nigeria. That is about 8 and a half units a day for a one room apartment. Not enough to live a decent, comfortable life meaning electricity is just as expensive in Nigeria yet even the Band A service is markedly inferior. But then how many people in Nigeria living in a one room apartment can afford 30 pounds on electricity alone except their stomach has been replaced with an inverter and they eat lithium ion. |
ayoncox:You are wrong. Any labourer working fairly consistently will pay tax. With a tax threshold of N800,000 which is equivalent to an hourly wage of 17 pence equivalent in the UK, a labourer here will surely be taxed because he can easily surpass that sorry Nigerian tax threshold in less than six months and be taxed though he will not be able to feed his family. No man can keep a home on N800,000 a year period. |
About 18 pounds per hour. That is very low. Cannot keep a home. |
Cmanforall:I am sure folks that were in positions of authority since then and till now (if there are any) will regret how that episode turned out. That is why I am saying they have to get a gaffer in that class and stick to him. Honestly I cannot see any other way out. There are a few young managers coming through with great talent and fresh ideas, but the problem is clout. Can they stand up to the vagrancies of the United top hats... |
bakobenjamin198:So what is needed since the club is no longer attractive to high quality talent is to get a world class gaffer who certain capable players are willing to play and die for. Do a total house cleaning and get a new squad. Now, because of FFP this may take many years but this is the only way and the price to pay for misadventure over the past decade and a half since Sir Alex retired. It will take time. This is what the United management and the fans have to accept. For sustainable progress to levels of the late 90's and early 2000's they need to be ultra patient. Get the right person and stick with him. |
iwaeda:Let me try and profile such a gaffer. * Highly competent technician that can turn water to wine, practically. * An old hand that has seen it all and done it all that temporary setbacks will not bring undue management pressure. * A manager that has won enough trophies to see long term development first rather than quick fixes towards silverware or league positions. * A manager that understands the demands of the Premiership. * A manager that will relegate the present technical director and head of recruitment and instead use his extensive contacts with clubs, players and agents to optimize the squad while managing the declining finances. Unfortunately the three possibilities are almost like mirages. Pep will almost certainly not cross over to the red half in this lifetime. Carlo is almost certainly retiring after this year's world cup. Klopp is unlikely going to ever manage an English club side again. |
CheedyJ:The problem is that United can no longer attract talent. No one wants to go there except for ridiculous wages far beyond what they can offer. A vicious downward cycle. |
The United States is not known for any other thing than scale and size. That is what makes the US the leading country. Nothing more. Just infrastructure. There are better roads in China and Germany. There are taller buildings in the UAE. There are finer towns in Switzerland. And on and on. But when you average it out there is a lot more America that anywhere else on earth. |
Saka on the bench and Gyokeres's face says it all... ![]() If only looks could transmit hamstring problems. |
With the few touches Kai has made so far, Gyokeres may as well book his summer holidays. |
Ah, ah. This is ridiculous. Another corner, another goal.... ![]() |
Skelly is so poor. If not that he is an Arsenal inbred he will have been sold already. Not improving at all. |
Nigeria. A contractor's Aladin's Cave.where you only need to rub the lamp and all your wishes of unimaginable wealth will come true. |
richiemcgold:Here again, true statement but wrong context. Yes God will not turn him away. God will transform him and this is what is happening as long as the Spirit of God lives in him. So it is not a struggle to do this or that or be this or that. It is natural. If I leave my environment and go live in a place of a different language and culture, over time I will become like them. No struggles, no trying to please anyone. As long as I live there I will become like them. |
richiemcgold:Of course you are correct in statement but not in context. You cannot also please God without an inner witness that what you wear on your body is not what God wants. So it is all about the Spirit in him modulating his life and transforming it away from what pleased the man only. This is the Will of God at work. You cannot have Christ in you and not be transformed both outwardly and inwardly, thinking aright inwardly and acting appropriately outwardly. |
TOPCRUISE:Anyone that decides to rule himself out of the next matches due to indiscipline will bear the consequences for himself because this group is becoming a real team and is growing less reliant on any one player as the tournament has progressed. Nigeria is always a decent tournament team. Our problem has always been the qualifiers and challenges of playing those one off games. Put the team together for a few weeks and they begin to play together. Chelle has done well technically with this team, now it is time for him to show his tactical prowess because he will be playing against CAF, the hosts, and the north african sporting subculture of crass gamesmanship. |
