Okay, just joining. Appears that Sunday 'Sharp Mouth' Oliseh is back on the comms. Interesting. Uzoho in goal. |
Helinuse:But you shouldn't return or enter a building on fire. This is common sense. You can get killed in many, ways, smoke, heat, flash and structural collapse. Whatever he was trying to do was simply not worth it. |
TOPCRUISE:What are they rested for. In tournament football rest is rust. Soccer is momentum game. You have a maximum of 7 games in around three weeks plus. What do you need rest for. Not top player will want to rest when he has performance targets to meet. |
Sirleo05:That was Qatar. |
And he should serve his time if found guilty. Those who are quick to berate government directed criticism as politicizing issues should themselves stand to ensure no politically motivated deals of escape are made. Because I can count on the palm of one hand the number of successful convictions of politically exposed people and where they so happen to see the inside of a jail cell they are quickly pardoned. With all the tales of graft and the mountain of financial recklessness that has crashed down on the Nigerian state and decimated the economy since 1999, there is zero, zero, zero, not one, not a single hair on the head of any principal of an MDA or government enterprise in prison today. They are ALL walking free and ALL enjoying the proceeds of their crimes. And the list of escapees grows longer by the regime. |
Last week. In a sandwich puree for breakfast. Something like once a month... |
What's all the noise about. If they don't pay, cut them off and consequently cut your demand from the national grid so that TCN sends power to the DISCOs that are ready to collect their money. No time for wasters. Telecoms are utilities that have gotten the business model spot on. Once your money is finished you are cut off instantly, even if you are streaming and a cross is made into Nwabali's penalty area.....leaving you thinking....🤔 |
Onme:Fubara is compromised already. He himself had admitted to that several times and his political actions since he resumed office show his allegiance is not with the people but to the President. And he will do whatever the President wants. He is a political eunuch (my adopted word of the week), his conscience completely castrated. |
Not too interested in politics. Governance is what affects me directly but the likely end to this is that Fubara is appointed a Minister overseeing a 'Juicy' parastatal and Wike left to 'select' the new governor but who must be an APC candidate. You see, there is too much between Mr. Wike and Tinubu that should not be revealed and both cannot afford to compromise the 'Agreement'. Fubara will likely end up not contesting. They will settle him the Nigerian way. |
You see, this is the problem with dual nationality. Exacerbated if the issues surround important figures. You have to address both the local and foreign audiences and this can be an issue. We all know what they are saying here in Nigeria. But I think they should think about the victim:s other constituency which tends to be a bit more...involved. |
kennethesan:Forget it. The compromised are the best tools for them to hold onto power. They love people with baggage so that they remain loyal and obedient. Just like the Senate President himself. So many graft cases and the election that brought him into office that cannot pass muster in any decent society. If he decides to contest, it is as good as won. One more rubber stamp, one more 'yea' man and away with that pesky lady. |
Moroccoguy:With the way politics is going in this country and Mrs Natasha's problems with the establishment, Mr. Bello is more likely going to be used to dethrone her and have his sins forgiven in the process. More like the stars are aligning for him. We operate a feudal system where the compromised is often the chosen just as eunuchs serve the courts of the king. |
ShedrachU:Then, absolutely. Might be our eureka moment. |
GanagiBitrus:When you have a football house that is only decent at tournament attendance that will be the case. Outside tournaments I doubt anything happens in that place. Thousands of Nigerians play football professionally, thousands more amateurs and age undergrads, yet the football house cannot search for and cultivate a steady stream of goalkeeping talent. That is just laziness. I think the bottom line is for Nigerians who care to make a sporting media talent show to promote this aspect of the game and force the products on the nation. |
Osanoghodua1:Is he in the Afcon squad? |
Capernum:That is normal. That applies to everything in life. The day you stop paying attention, become sloppy or run into misfortune it is not only men that will disagree but nature itself. The world understands that a man cannot be on top of his game every day of his life but so his fortunes are never guaranteed every day of his life. So it is not cruel to praise a man one day he performs and criticizes him the next when he doesn't. Every one goes through that privately and publicly. It is natural. At the end, when we retire it is then our journey will be tallied and our legacy decided by the law of averages. |
Sounds more like a major blow to Uganda. I'm sure he was a major part of their tactical plans. Goalkeepers at AFCON have been wack, even the reliable Bono and so called best stopper in Africa Ron Williams have been embarrassed, but our case is special and this fateful situation is an opportunity to view others. |
Franking:Build rail lines, not more roads. I have said it times over. Travelled by road a couple of months ago to Benin. There were more trucks and semis than cars on the highways, parked dangerously on the shoulders, many broken down and abandoned in bad portions of the roads, some moving slowly and causing tail backs or overtaking dangerously. There are just too many trucks. The highway system is a mess, It wasn't like this a couple of decades ago. Nigeria badly needs to get cargo and cargo trucks off the highway and onto rail tracks. As for the FRSC, I think a total reorientation away from the disease called 'checkpoints' and into the norm in other climes which is patrol. There should be no broken down or stationary truck or car on the highway for more than an hour. |
Hezzyluv:Spain. He died in Spain. |
But that is end game from the get go. That is the deal you struck with the government of the day Mr. Wike. All those you alleged have one issue or the other within the party have left one after the other yet the crisis remains. It doesn't take a learned person to put two and two together to arrive at your plan to ensure that the PDP does not field a presidential candidate at the 2027 polls. You are working towards a full blown autocracy and history will record that as your prominent legacy when all the roads and bridges you built have fallen into disrepair and your high wire projects forgotten. In years to come you will grant all sorts of interviews, write books and sponsor symposia to whitewash these events but nothing will be able to erase your notoriety. IBB did more infrastructure that every President in Nigeria's short history, bar Gowon. He did put down a tyrannical military government before his and was thanked for it. He was an astute maker of men, he brought some of the best brains of that time into governance....did many good things. But all he is remembered for today is the truncating of democracy in 1993 for which he has endlessly sought restitution to no avail. It appears those that hold the reins of power today have learnt nothing from history. |
Hahaha....he was under ![]() His lady colleague will probably be tax collecting in a bikini. |
Double post. |
nurey:They are not small. Green when it comes to modern warfare but not small. |
Naturally. To avoid all sorts of litigations going forward. It is not just about January 1st 2026 but of many January's over many governments into the future involving everyone from the average citizen to the billionaire foreign investor. If there are holes it will be filled. |
Michaelmercy:The devil is always in the detail and this they will hide for as long as the citizen is more interested in stories than facts. Mandate airline to publish the cost components of their fares just like it sometimes happens in other climes and let us see who is right and who is price gouging. And finally what is the role of government the through agencies like the CPC doing about this. |
EponObi:Do you think the President of any country where foreign operations are being conducted will be on holidays. 'Err... President Trump, just go ahead and bomb them, I'm off on holidays'. When the Yanks say there are more operations to come, where should he be. Where is President Maduro...on holidays? I cannot see any trace of the so called cooperation on this matter. Nigerians are not even sure what happened in Sokoto on Christmas Day. Who is in the Situation Room, right now. |
Ofunaofu:That is not the issue at hand. Did Governor Makinde receive N50 billion. Where did it come from and where did it go, period. That is the accountability the citizens who are about to be 'tax reformed' need to know so that they decide whether it is worth it. |
MosakuAW:In this Kano state we are talking about Hisbah has been in existence for upwards of two decades over several governments. In the south west done states have had Amotekun for long. Though not real police, these outfits have been the closest thing to organized policing. How many times have they been used for political ends. Where does this scaremongering come from. And the fact is that if state policing were to be adopted as national policy through a Constitutional Amendment, much more robust safeguards are bound on be created to protect the public from abuse instead of this case where it is the states themselves that in initiate the reforms and structure the institutions. |
engrchykae:Now you are getting there. I keep on saying that security is local, it is resident, ultimately it should be up to the people of any enclave. But to make it civilized I often advocate for state and county police. The actions and inactions of the Federal police, their capabilities or not should be under the control of the potential victims. It is up to the individual, the community to decide how badly it needs security not someone sitting in an office 500 miles away. And I just wonder how long the Nigerian can wait until it takes this matter serious enough to make it political with electioneering implications. |
OredoPikin2:Eh now, shebi our tax to 'whatever' ratio is the lowest on earth. The good thing is the gradual.inching towards a revolution. |
TargetT:Oga. The government has kept creating the image that the strikes was a joint operation with the US. If they are indeed shareholders in this tasking, where are their own troops, equipment, forces in those areas ready to catch fleeing bandits. It is standard military operations to have what is called mop up after an ambush. The government knows this, the military knows this. They know that the strikes will trigger a reaction so they should be ready. Why is it that it is the civilian administration that is doing the observation of this instead of our security forces and who have they arrested or engaged after the strikes. This is 48 hours after the strike. Have you seen any images of a single army formation in that area ready to react to the ambush.. Something is just not adding up. Now they have scattered and elements are relocating to put other communities under pressure. Where is the will, the strategy to combat that. This whole thing looks like we have reached a point of pacifism. 'Just let them be, when they attack, we respond. In the interim just let them be, the work too much'. |
adenigga:They are OBSERVING. Observing in Sokoto, observing in Benue. Where is the action. None. Security forces are on holidays. This is what people are saying. The will to do the needful is not there for whatever reason. You will have expected that a government that is 'coordinating' with external forces will have it's internal forces on standby to react to fleeing or relocating bandits. Ready to catch them on the hop. But the only military images we have show the Army Chief in Sokoto to felicitate (or what) with the Sultan in whose domain these groups were resident. So it is not clear what this government is up to. What it is doing or what it is failing to do and this kind of lacuna leaves for speculation that they KNOW but are simply unwilling TO DO. The man in Benue is saying CLEARLY. Armed men are moving into his community in numbers (obviously to use the community as a shield). What is the cooperating government, the partner government in Nigeria going to do about this or they will wait for Trump to act on this one too and bring US police to sieve the wheat from the chaff before burning the chaff...haba. |
