misterawo: PRESS RELEASE.
The Nigerian Medical Association, Imo State wishes to inform the General public that where as immunization is neccessary for the prevention of some killer diseases especially in Childhood, there in no officially approved immunisation programme going on in the state presently. As a result, parents and teachers are advised not to submit their wards to persons or group of persons for any purported form of immunisation.
This is on the backdrop of alarm being raised about "forced immunization" in some places in the state on Wednesday 11th October, 2017.
Similarly, The Nigerian Medical Association Imo State advices the general public to stay away from all forms of "free medical programmes" that do not have the approval of Nigerian Medical Association, while we keenly monitor events unfold.

Bamibor: Oga immunization has never been a part of the job description of the Nigerian Army. As a matter of fact in saner climes, they have no business amongst the citizens except in a war situation or under extreme national emergencies.
Whatever health care there had planned to provide to the populace could have been done through the Nigerian medical association or the ministry of health in the various states.
There is obviously still a lot of palpable tension in the south east following the recent operation and any action by the NA now should have been expected to be met with scepticism by the populace.
The rumours may have been wrong and indeed uncalled for but I still cannot absolve the Nigerian Army for interfering with the peace of the region for whatever reason. Generally in Nigeria the sight of the NA is not greeted with cheers. The spate at which they're encroaching into civillain space and taking over the duties of the police, One would wonder whether Nigerian has become a militarized state. |

omenka: This is really worrisome.
Out of hatred for a man whose only crime is defeated their preferred candidate in an election, they've decided to inflict upon themselves all manner of injuries. They hope in so doing, they'd derail his presidency.
We all know, despite this shameful display of unbridled lunacy and hate, if peradventure this sickness against which they seek to immunise these people to forestall its spreading ( given a couple of cases has been reported there) spirals out of control, these same people would turn around to blame the government and accuse them of neglecting their region and abandoning them for dead!
I have a very strong feeling the person who started this treasonable rumour isn't even an Anambrarian.
The Igbo leaders need to do more to enlighten their subjects. You cannot continue to chop off your noses just to spite your face.
A word is enough for the wise. So because you hate them too you now send military to give them this treatment below

AnanseK: [FROM OUR INBOX] A Soldier Writes From Battle Field
Dear civilians of Nigeria this message is meant to change ur thinking towards us. Looking at other countries, people give respect to their soldiers and these soldiers are not working as hard as we.
Nigerian Soldiers are not ur enemies, the enemies are Boko Haram, Kidnappers,Armed Robbers And Ritualist. We are facing them for you while u run away from them.
Take for instance, if there is an attack u cannot go there but to run off the place to avoid death but we with just one life like you will run to it and make it stop.
We can die as well because we have blood in our veins. You should clap for our struggles and not talk bad about us, u should pray for us, not wish us the same thing our enemy Boko Haram wish us as well.
Before i joined military, i thought Soldiers were bullies but wen i joined i got to understand that the training makes us a better person because if we have to act the way we have experience life it will be very bad but our training have made us better people because thats the programming.
Stop adding to Soldiers problem and give us our little respect as warriors. Our soldiers die everyday for the country. If you want to know more, come for the training and lets post you to Maiduguri, Chad or Cameroon then you will understand our pains too.
Gallant Soldiers please pass this message on till all Nigerian will see it. Cos when ever I remember all I and my regulars went through water fell from my eyes.
GOD BLESS NIGERIAN ARMY, NAVY AND AIR FORCE

Please disregard the rumor of any killing related to Ozubulu and Soldiers. It's 82 Division Medical Services and Hospital Free Medical Outreach and its NOT Compulsory
Here's a Live Reporting live from St Michael's Ugwuorie Ozubulu. Below is the official press statement on the ongoing exercise:
The attention of the State Government has been drawn to an on going medical outreach being undertaken by the Army in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
The State has been made to understand that the exercise is part of Army social responsibility to members of the public.
However, strong apprehension among the populace has followed the exercise leading to withdrawal of students from schools by parents, misconception of the actual motive behind the exercise by stakeholders, community leaders and a general reservation by the public for whom the outreach is intended.
To this end and to ensure no further escalation of the situation, His Excellency the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has contacted the Army Authories and advised for immediate stoppage of the medical outreach until wide sensitization is conducted to reassure people of its intentions and benefits. The exercise has therefore been put on hold.

ChimaAdeoye: Buhari and his fulani troops should take their HIV tainted vaccines to northwest zone where all the vaccine preventable disease are rampant. .Everyone knows Igbo are openly called enemy of the state by Buhari. No good project has ever been done in igboland since Buhari took over. So sending us special vaccines using fulani troops to forcefully inject children in a region already with 95% immunization coverage reveals the whole intention behind the exercise. Mass genocide using chemical sterilization and spreading HIV in the region. |

President Muhammadu Buhari has formally written to the Senate and the House of Representatives, to approve a loan request of $6.5 billion.
According to the letter addressed to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, a copy of which was read on the floor of the Red Chamber on Tuesday, the loans will be sourced through issuance of Euro and Diaspora bonds.
Buhari said the borrowings will be used to fund capital projects. Some of the projects listed by President Buhari in the letter include the construction of Mabila power project in Taraba State, construction of second runway of Abuja Airport and other major projects across the country.
Part of the foreign loans will be used to refinance local debts.
