You disappointed me. The world has since evolved beyond such level of ridiculous claims, and for you to think that the world's second highest weapon manufacturer and exporter could train and arm its forces poorly as alleged by the Western mainstream media, you could as well have said you believed the propaganda as put forward by the British intelligence and news outlets that Russian soldiers are fighting with shovels in Ukraine.

Several soldiers refuse to fight, it's a normal thing everywhere. Heck, during the Vietnam War when the US government was conscripting people of fighting age, thousands of Americans refused to fight, including Mohammed Ali. Many even ran away from the country into Canada and beyond. So, I don't know what the noise is here.

There are no 300,000+ Russian recruits in Ukraine. Stop kidding yourself. Do you think 300k forces are 3 dozens that you can hide in a classroom? The majority of that force is infantry, and they're designed to man defensive positions, to balance and stabilize the areas liberated so far. They're not part of the current Russian prong attacking forces, which is being dominated by the DPR and LPR militias, the Wagner musical group of death, and of course, an adequate number of Russian regular forces completing the list. Most of that newly recruited forces have not even tasted battle. Some of them along with Russian regular forces are stationed in Belarus and sitting comfortably behind the frontlines. These are easily verifiable information.

The LPR, DPR, and Wagner group are the ones doing most of the dirty fighting in Ukraine. The area that Russian regular troops dominate exclusively is in Sea, aviation and land standoff strikes from deep in Russian territory into targets in Ukraine. This is why the Russians have everything at their disposal to play the waiting game.

So you haven't heard about rotating forces? The majority of the 109k Russian forces that started this operation have been rotated out. And it's not the entire length of Ukraine that is being contested. The fighting is limited to the east, with few exceptional strikes in the western parts of the country that hasn't seen any land struggles. So, there was no immediate need to rush the entire 300k forces to the fronts assuming they have all been received and trained.

The recent Chinese diplomatic blitzkrieg has been unabashedly exceptional.

I'm not sure how they sold rapprochement to the Arabs. I mean the East not pushing the green revolution as maniacally as the West made that an easy choice. Just spitballing here, could be something more exciting.

Nonetheless, I'm unsure of the cards they have to play to get the Europeans to resolve the Ukraine crisis. It does seem to me that they'd make a superficial "good faith" offer, and when the Europeans predictably refuse, they'll use their refusal as a casus belli to thumb the scale in favor of Russia.

Which of course sets the stage for European involvement should Taiwan devolve into a hot conflict. But by then they'd have a grateful Russia + Iran on their flank. They have the numbers and means to bleed Taiwan as slowly or quickly as desired, Russia et al will provide the resources to keep the economy humming when the collective West imposes sanctions.

A back-to-back Russia-China victory in proxy wars with the US ends the unilateral global Western dominance that has lasted 2000 years.

Xi will be elevated to the ranks of Chinese demigods like Emperor Qin if he can pull this off.

Everyone will start taking the Eastern bloc far more seriously and it'll set off a political megaton nuclear bomb in Washington DC.

Living systems that stop growing start dying. Western civilization will remain indomitable for centuries to come. But their sphere of influence will shrink by the decade, while the rest of the world will become more prosperous and assertive.

As an aside, I must warn that this is by no means set in stone. A smorgasbord of chance events can derail this trajectory.

The Soviet Union also had this opportunity post WW2. All they had to do was win over China and India, transform their economies, and set off a millennia-lasting civilization. It was literally served on a platter. The resources, wealth, human capital, backdrop of the most advanced ancient civilizations. Maybe modern China will have better luck. They only got themselves, Russia, and Iran committed to the cause (NK and Syria are lightweights). The vast majority of the planet are non-aligned. AI, Robotics, Space, Demography, Resource Limits, Climate Change. F*cking tide levels and rainfall patterns figuratively and literally sank epoch-changing civilizations in Mesopotamia. That's small chops compared to AI or the myriad of other modern challenges. So good luck to them. They'll need it.

The "better than" in my statement is relative.. depends on the way you want to look at it, be it weather condition, cost of living, social life, cost of water, electricity etc. bills
The UK for example isn't better than Nigeria.. even US as we speak isn't a safe haven for migrants seeking greener pastures as US citizens themselves have started moving to other parts like Mexico, Spain etc.
