Unfortunately, this thread has been derailed by senseless people. Nairaland is fast becoming a useless forum where its only tribalism. Something urgently needs to be done as this isn't a nice image for this forum. Evil has no tribe, there are criminals in every tribe and tongue and to attach crime to a single tribe just shows the depth of the thought processes in that person's head. This silly tribalism is a definite put off. |

For the sake of Nigerians in the UK, these fraudsters shold be jailed for a minimum of 50years. Let them have 25years in a british jail and the the last 25years in a maiduguri prison. these scums are making life hard for the honest Nigerian traveller. |

She may have found out through a request for details from the Association of Black doctors. Good idea on paper. The real problems here are many, how much will they be willing to pay these doctors in Nigeria? Will they be paying them more than they pay those back home slaving away in their motherland? what on earth are they going to work with, what equipments are in place to make them function properly? Is there enough power supply to ensure work continues without glitches?I really dont think it should be a government program to take doctors back home. If the environment is attractive enough people will normally gravitate back home. A serious government will set the stage and attact and encourage its own. Unfortunately i don't see that happening with this government. |

Ha. Of course! With the resurgence of MEND attacks and the president denying they were the ones who did the Oct 1 blasts. . . Perhaps he needed to be silenced permanently. Up GEJ! |

I am so happy this crook is finally brought to book. Since our judiciary has shown itself ineffective at tackling corruption, its good the british are coming to our aid. May his generations be haunted by all the ghosts of those who died because of his greed. The hospitals that could have been built, the schools, the homes. . . .this heartless animal must rot in jail Wicked thing! |

Undoubtedly, the country needs a president that will inspire confidence in the people Sadly, this retardeen( i've refrained from calling him that all along, but he leaves us without a doubt that he is one) is totally incapable. Too bad that in a country of 150million people, all we can come up with is this. . .this. . .gosh! God save Nigeria! |

chuxyn: In what world are you living?Labour to declare strikes to tell the government to do its statutory duty? If the reta/rds in Aso rock don't know what to do they should quickly resign and let competent people do the jobs. Living in a fantasy expecting labour to declare a strike is foolhardy. How many strikes were called to stop kidnapping in the east?or armed robbery attacks? This is the worst government in the history of Nigeria, this govt makes yaradua look like hussein bolt on steroids. |

A rudderless ship will always drift off course. So what is the country's leadership doing about this? Its quite easy to unleash soldiers against harmelss protesters. The BH appear more oranised and a lot more intelligent than the goernment and her security apparatus. This is the outcome of a government treating terrorist with kid gloves and claiming they will just ''fizzle away'' In your dreams GEJ, in your dreams. |

porka: Really? i thought it was powerful enough to force the president to make broadcasts and even lower petrol costs last week. While 'matches' may not work, all through history, marches draw attention to ills and makes voices heard. Do you think Tunde Bakare was in the wrong to have marched to ensure the constitution was followed? Was he right to insist GEJ be sworn in? |

It's been amazing reading all sorts of rsponses to these thread. 1. Ethnic bigots jumped to her defence claiming ''afterall there are corrupt people from all corners of the country''. . .hmm . . .well you're right but you forget defending these thieves get you nothing. Those kids don't and will never know you exist and in fact, their security men will probably run you off the road if you were to ever impede their movt in traffic. Defending them may satisfy your ethnic leanings but does nothing for you or your generations. 2. Some have rightly showed the pictures in themselves are inconclusive of graft, yes, but if you were to use the freedon of information act and demand for all salaries paid to this family since they ever started working and whether it can pay for all they've acquired. . .well that's up in the air. At the end of the day, a few will live in stupendous opulence while their defenders will remain poor or if they at least manage to have a little, will fend for extended family. Corruption has no ethnicity, corrupt people should be everyone's(and i mean all right thinking people) enemies. No justification, no excuse should be made for corrupt people because eventually they hurt us all. |
