Unfortunately most of these people will be the hardworking Igbo traders who have registered to vote in the different parts of the country now returning home.
They would have voted for GEJ but with this, they will be giving Buhari an edge.

Putting faces to this crisis rally brings it home.
RIP to the brave men fighting for the freedom of the rest.
I feel sorry for them because they are being betrayed by their bosses who siphon away the trillions meant for this fight and by the Clueless C in C who while i don't believe he can sponsor Boko haram, allows the corruption in the military to continue without doing anything about it.
May any politician supporting Boko Haram either by being sponsors or by being inept at their job lose their kids the way these guys have died.
So hurt!

When the biggest reference point for presidential behaviour are the governors who are his political juniors, then you know you don't have a leader.
What you have is a run of the mill empty-head.

The health minister has a lot of education to do.

Under GEJ, the country has become a bedrock of corruption.
EFCC and ICPC have become toothless rats( not even dogs)
This man(GEJ) has so much encouraged corruption that it has now become the norm
Bode George, Alamesiegha, Stella Oduah, Deiziani, Sherriff, Ihejirika, Obanikoro. . .oh my God, the list is endless!
All hail GEJ Nigeria's first openly pro-corruption president.

Health / In The UK, One In Ten Family Doctors Is Earning More Than The Prime Minister by reindeer: 10:02am On Sep 21, 2014
One in ten GPs earns more than the Prime Minister, official figures show.
Despite efforts to rein in the pay of family doctors, many still receive vastly more than David Cameron’s annual salary of £142,500.
A total of 3,430 general practitioners earned more than £150,000 in 2012/13 – 10.5 per cent of self-employed GPs – according to the figures, published yesterday by the Government’s Health and Social Care Information Centre.

But one needs to pass PLAB first, not so?

Yes, that is the general rule but the trusts are allowed to waive that if they are desperate. Like i said earlier, they will sometimes employ without PLAB but will ask you to get it in the first year of work for them. That allows you get into the system and start building up your CV.
So don't let that stop you from trying. You never know which hospital is really hungry for a doctor.

As a doctor ,i am so happy i left many years ago. The system gets more rotten by the day
Brains are like women, they go where they are appreciated. My advice to my junior colleagues is this, dust your certificates(worth £££££££££) do the right exams and move. The UK is currently short of doctors especially in accident and emergency.
We are so short that my trust did a Skype interview and employed 5 doctors from Sri-Lanka last year. The Royal college of GPs currently is understaffed and many units nationwide have rota shortages. I know of a few lucky Nigerian doctors who didn't even write the exams yet were employed and told to get it sorted in their first year here. The Hospitals will usually file with the home office for your work permits and you only have to pay for your visas for your family.
Hurry and come, you are not appreciated in Nigeria anyway, so why stay?
try www.jobs.nhs.uk and go to section for non-EEA doctors. Hospitals post jobs on that page when they haven't found anyone from Europe to take the job. Those are the ones really desperate for anyone with a medical degree.
just my little advice.

Spoken like a true doctor.

Very stupid and unreasonable talk.

First my mum didn't programme anything to me. I saw what was happening with my own eyes because I frequent LUTH a lot while I was in Unilag. I have a mind of my own, and I know injustice and unreasonablness when I see one.

All you have said cannot be said to a good defense of doctors attitude and and their pursuit if sabotaging other health sector's workers to advance their profession.

If had a doctor son I would tell him the truth.

Are you saying Pharmacist are not cerebral enough to be directors in medical establishment. Medicine is not more cerebral or difficult than Pharmacist. Get a hold on your false ego.

So what are you guys saying? Are you saying if Dr. Dora Akunyili practised her career in a teaching hospital, she cannot become a director in administration while a doctor can simply because he studied medicine? Very ludicrous. What pomposity and such arrogance.

People, was I wrong now is saying Nigerian doctors are very arrogant, proud and back stabbing?

Then I asked a question that you cleverly dodged and avoided. What the doctors are asking for: Is that the best practises in other parts of the civilised world?

Dude..your mum who spent 30 years as a lab scientist probably didn't work in a teaching hospital. Go home and ask her the profession of the Director of Administration in those hospitals.
Come to think of it, people like keep bandying on about 'abroad, worldwide' etc It just shows you have no knowledge of the workings of those systems.
If you want the privileges of being a doctor, why don't you go to med school? oh i forgot, the jamb requirements are too high for some intellects to cope with.
Health / Re: Johesu’s Claims Against Doctors In Nigeria; A Case Of Historic Amnesia by reindeer: 8:43am On Jul 07, 2014
lanrefront1: The man spoke the truth. My mother worked for 30 years a a medical laboratory scientist at LUTH. The truth is Nigerian doctors are the most greedy selfish arrogant and back stabbing set of professionals in the world.
Anytime health workers are asking or fighting for something, they will remove themselves. Then they will ask for their own separately. Anytime any other set of health workers, whether pharmacist, nurses or Laboratory scientist are fighting for their rights, maybe in area of renumeration or benefits, doctors always do their best to sabotage their efforts.
They do not want the renumeration of even a pharmacist to come even a thousand kilometers to their renumeration.
Anytime nurses, pharmacist laboratory scientist get a pay rise or benefits, the doctors will immediately start pressing for addition to their salaries and benefits.
When they go on their strike, no one disturbs them, but when others go on strike, they start crying to the high heavens, looking for every way and pulling strings in the corridors of power to sabotage their effort.
In fact, I don't know where Nigerian doctors got this evil and satanic traits from, and when you to most teaching hospital, dem get fellowship pass anything. I wonder wetin dem dey read for their Bible?
They say only doctors can be consultants, only doctors can be able to rise to positions of directorship.... the question is, it's that the practise in other parts of the world? If not, why do you want to establish that here....
Is pharmacy as a course any easier to study than medicine? I don't think so.
No one is saying doctors should not be given their proper place in the scheme of things in the health sector, and God knows they already have more than enough of that. But what the doctors want is nothing other than subjugating every other heath sector worker under their feet. They want them grovelling and begging at their feet.
Then go and ask anyone who uses teaching hospital, the doctors are so arrogant and full of themselves; they treat people except people they perieve important shabily.
They always shouting renumeration, but doctors are already the highest paid paid public servants (excluding politicians) in Nigeria.
The pay of their counterparts in the private sector doesn't come close at all to their monthly take home pay.
The government really needs to clip their wings. B They should import heath workers or make necessary legislation to do this.

After all these rant which seem to me was programmed into you by your mum who spent 30years as a lab scientist, will you be against it if your child wishes to go to med school? i think not.
All these bile against doctors do nothing for the health sector, there is not short-cut in life, if you want equality of roles and titles with consultants, go back and study for another 15 years please.
If these amorphous fellows called JOHETSUK are given their demands, it wont be long before bricklayers start demanding equality with architects, auxillary nurse would want to be head of nursing department, civil defence go wan be general for army. Let us not turn Nigeria upside down simply because people want the benefits of what they didn't pay the price for. You should understand there must be a reason why lab science and medicine no get the same jamb entry score.

This is lab science vs medicine all over again
Different entry marks into school, different curricula, different requirements and yet these people clamour for equality?
What is hard in people recognising that input determines standings?
Well then, this is Nigeria, common sense will be turned on its head as usual.

[b]It's better to ignore distractions instead of trying to prove nonsense. All these rambles are political distractions from the opposition, they don't want anything, they just want you to be distracted. Let me remind you of Obama and the Republicans.
The Republicans alleged that Obama was not an American. Obama in his charisma published his birth certificate, that's like 3 years ago but till this day, new conspiracy theory is being aired about the birth certificate and the Republicans are still saying it's a forgery. Then you ask yourself, what do they want?
Do you think these people are going to repent because Stella Oduah publish her Certificate? cheesy cheesy You don't know what politics is, this is a distraction and should not be given any form of attention.
Remember when Sahara Reporters said President Jonathan had a birthday party in London and was admitted to the hospital because of excessive drinking of ogogoro. we finally discovered that the President was admitted as a result of food poisoning in Gambia.
The President threatened to sue them but he never did because they're not worth his time. Let me give you some likely scenario if the President had sued Sahara Reporters.
* The opposition will cry fowl and say that the President is jobless to be suing a small news media like Sahara Reporters.
* Nigerians will say the President is wasting public fund attending the court hearings
* Lawsuit between a sitting President and Sahara reporters will be an embarrassment to the office of the President and a funny news in the international community.
* More distraction, more press interview, more opposition criticism, more complains from Nigerians who elected him into office.
“You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.” ~ QWinston S. Churchill

This has got nothing to do with the president.
SR lied against my certificate, i publish it to show the world their foolishness and then sue them for so much they will never recover.
I don't see how hard that will be for a forthright person, in fact i think most Nigerians will be behind her for being the victim of a smear.
Till she does that i will believe SR on this one. She needs to come out and reassure her supporters that she is clean. She is currently behaving like she has a skeleton in her closet.
