Did your Uncle tell you specifically how the Igbos were rubbing it on your face(s) (that they had won seats in the western house)?

eggheaders: Like my uncle told me the east was still primitive politically then that why zik came to the southwest where the show was happening. The same way y'all were rubbing it on the face of the northern after murdering their political leaders is same way you were trying to rub it on our face when your party won few seat in western Nigeria.

what was the hard blow Awolowo landed on Zik (during those electioneering times?

eggheaders: Get over it, zik brought it on himself for his lack of political sophistication. You guys should stop rubbing your little success on peoples face. I remember how hard my peeps campaign for zik party in Lagos even fashola grand father was an ncnc man. But when you guys start rubbing it on our faces that we are fools for voting ncnc. Awo saw through the pettiness and dealth a hard blow on zik he won't forget even in his grave.

You might have answered this my question before, but if you don't mind, refresh my memory.... do I take it that you choose a third party's opinion/view based on the topic the person is expatiating on? That is, you will believe Sam's write-up on X, but not necessarily so on another issue, say, Y. If so, then why?
(in other words, let's take Awolowo, do you believe everything he says?.... how do you determine which account, whom to believe without reasonable doubt... and why or how can you not accept a different side of the story, and consider it a "lie... " .... )

Now on the topic at hand, if I get your right, Awolowo had no hand in removing Akintola? is that what you are saying? I just want you to say it (or the point you are alluding to) pop and plain befor ei fire my next question on the subject.

Thank you in anticipation (of your prompt response).

Remark D.

Katsumoto: See below for excerpt of an interview with Professor Sam Aluko. Awo was not autocratic, he consulted always with his team.

Experience with Awo

Economists do not have answer to everything. It is just that they have answers to some things. You cannot advise an empty mind. Somebody you want to advise must know faintly or clearly what you want to do, even if he wants to have a second opinion or additional opinion to add to what he thinks he should do. In other words, he is someone that has vision. This is one area that Chief Obafemi Awolowo excelled in. He would have done his homework, consulted widely and so on. It is very easy to advise such people.

Mind you, economists prefer the word thank you. Economics is a science of alternatives. If we do it this way what will likely be the results and if we do it that way, what will likely be the results. If we build a factory in my own village in Ekiti, instead of Lagos, what are the problems, what are the advantages? If we build in Ode, in Ekiti, we are going to provide a generating set, construct road because there is need for it to transport our goods, and we will need to provide market. But if it is Lagos, all these things are already there so no need to go into additional cost. So the cost of putting the factory in Ode vis--vis putting it in Lagos will be obvious. If the factory is in Lagos it can still benefit the people in Ode, but the reverse will not be so. And once they see that your advice is a bit better than theirs, they take it. These are the kind of people that are easy to work with.

But if the person being advised is an empty mind and somebody comes to say dont mind him, put it in Ode, and without thinking of the options, he goes ahead and follow the advice, well, we have a problem here. They can even tell him not to put it in either Lagos or Ode, instead let it be built by private people. That is why we say in economics that the empty mind does things of the last person that he sees before he goes to bed.

Thing is, there's always lots of articles like this.... but how reliable are thery? any successful stories? even at that.... what is the rate of successes to failures?

my dad is thinking of using some extra piece of land to grow this plant they say can be used as a by product for plane fuel or something... but I feel this one might be more cost effective...

agonbello: Earn A Huge Profit Operating A Vegetable (Soya Bean) Oil Mill

The present production level of Vegetable Oil in Nigeria cannot meet the demand of Nigerians. There is ban placed on Importation of Vegetable Oil into the country in order to encourage local investors to go into the production of Vegetable Oil. This has made the business to be very lucrative.

The market for vegetable oil is national. With a population of over 140 million people and an estimated national population growth rate of 5.7% per annum ,an average economic growth rate of 3.5% per annum in the past five {5} years, Nigeria has a large market for vegetable oil. The cake gotten as a by-product from producing vegetable oil from soya-bean is used in formulating livestock feeds especially for cattle, sheep and poultry...............

........The processing plant referenced in this article has an installed capacity of processing 1,440 metric tonnes of seeds per annum. Minimum profit margin of N20, 000 can be made on a processed tonne of seed . This translates to annual profit of N28,800,000. This is another viable project than can be successfully established in Nigeria.

You might not have formed your opinion on Oduah, but I see you have on Amanda Knox...

You say she is an "an admitted liar, a se.x.ual deviant, a thief, and a cold-blooded murderer"...

and the other person down the street can/will say she is an honest person, a victim of blackmail, a compassionate and (insert more positives lol) young lady"...

but hey! ya missed the point! but no worries, Remark d is a patient man and here to help.... but first!

- make sure you are not approaching this case with any leaning whatsoever on guilt or innonence...

see yourself as an unbiased judge, a fact-finder, and someone out to make sure that everyone is treated fairly and justly...

Can you do that?
(it will really help you see the angle I am coming from... )
(if possible, put yourself in Oduah's place and ponder how you'd have liked the whole situation to have taken shape from the moment SR broke the news.... )

I will stick to my comparison of Amanda's case because the first time I saw it.... it starts out with a litany of testimony and "evidence" ... the media in Italy took it and ran.... any and every dot was traced to the notion that she was guilty...

but with DNA and other forensics... comparing it to her side of the story... wouldn't an unbiased mind have cause to believe that there is always more to things than meets the eye?

My point again, what took me aback and really angry... is the reaction from the onset of this news by SR...
(I didn't eventually find that SR report as it has been drowned in the gazillion threads on Oduah and I lost track of what I was even looking for and ran outta my NL-break time lol... but can still find it for ya if you still do not get what m trying to say....; oh and by the way, I didn't type all o that in one post... cant ya see its a lil disjointed... I was book-marking the Oduah threads to do some sorta tally, but didn't even scratch the surface!) )

P.S. Are you jealous of the striking beauty of Foxy Noxy? The way her piercing eyes penetrates the lens' of cameras, her poise and confidence even in light of all the uproar n media hype? No offense grin

isale_gan2: How in the world did you post all that in one message? shocked

Note: I didn't have, and am yet to form, an opinion on this (Oduah) case. But. . .

Foxy Knoxy is an admitted liar, a se.x.ual deviant, a thief, and a cold-blooded murderer. If Stella Oduah is as "innocent" as Amanda Knox, then she most certainly does not deserve my support. undecided

Maybe you should find another notorious woman with whom to compare your "sister." No offense. undecided
PoliticsRe: Open Secret: Beware! Not Only Oduah, Many More Are In Their Crosshairs by remarkD(m): 1:26pm On Nov 04, 2013
I doubt what the OP sought to communicate and have an intellectual discourse on was able to generate a reasonable debate, given the type of responses I saw earlier on in the thread...

In any case, its interesting that not too long after I had cited the case of Amanda Knox, the documentary was broadcast this weekend….

If she was in Nigeria, and an Igbo lady, seeing what/how this Oduah issue was handled… she won’t even have been heard from, “all the evidence from the media and prosecutors is enough”… smh.

Earlier on this thread, I was trying to understand how stating that:
“Since X & Y is not enough to add up to Z; it is improper, and I would NOT make oar agree with the notion that Z on its own is sufficient enough for a (particular) call to action.

How can any one of age, without mental deficiencies, state that such notion above is based solely on ethnic grounds, and rush to call it a tribalistic niew? (case of the tribalist always wanting to call another a tribalist before they are reminded of what they are?)

and even at the end, when “Z” has been reviewed, probed and examined, the decision-makers agree that Z, as stated earlier on, was not a satisfied condition.

Yet, the accusers are still calling everyone else that disagrees with them “tribalists, tribalists… “

I will proudly wear my tribalist badge as a badge of honor, if losing my common sense of reasoning is what you want me to do in order not to be a tribalist.

As I left the thread earlier on to try and find the original SR article to demonstrate what I just stated above, I was amazed with the number of threads there were on NL alone blowing fluff and practising their frictional writing skills …

I got carried away …. And now come back to see the OP is not having the intellectual discourse he hoped for from these people I will just refer to as the accussers…. Cause that is what they do, just accuse, accuse, accuse….

At the end of the day, Oduah is walking high… will be flying high…. While you all, you accussers, try to wipe the shame off your faces….. if you’re feeling it that is….

The Bible says y’all shall gather… “Surely, they shall gather… “

but you will come in one way… and flee in 10 directions like dirty cockroaches…

See all the noise you made… what did you achieve?

Getting all excited about tribalism to spew hate, while pretending to be passionate about justice and athe rule of law…

“Rule of law” my you-know-what…

How many more accounts did you open? How many times did you claim to be Igbo and spew nonsense about Igbos?

You are losers. Period.

As long as you have wickedness and evil in your heart, hate and virile…. Yo can not cover it with a cloth of anti-corruption …… shebi its you guys that say “Yaya dey smell… “ …

When you poop in a nylon bag even if you wrap it in a few pages of the Punch newspaper, won’t it stil be smelling as bad as your breath?

I’m really disappointed in the despicable way your twisted behaviors are…

I mean…. You don’t have to like everyone… Israel is surrounded by its enemies…. But there are some things you do that … even animals would have behaved better…and a block-head would be laughing at your intelligence and evidence..

Carry on, its your loss… surely you shall gather…

yap yap yap yap…fluff fluff fluff fluff

see the numerous topics listed if you just type Oduah in Nls search engine… most ridiculous and childish topics…

from connecting this to ‘Igbo presidency’ and claiming she has bitten more than she can shew…lol SHEW indeed! “ to accusing her; right, left & center..
- of stealing, of attempted bribery, abuse of office, abuse of justice, of transparency, of breach of protocol, auto call, immune clause, corruption et al –ANY and EVERY possible accusation urgently needs to be thrown her way, in hopes that, perhaps, at least, one will stick and cause her exit…they celebrated their accusations and sang -

Mr. Kats, I asked you a simple, direct, metaphorical question ...

again: Did Stella Oduah steal?

Do you want me to believe that a neutral person can read the Sahara reporters article reproduced below:

(... still searching for the original article)
and conclude as you did, that the Minister is a thief?

Also, that whoever does not see it the way you do, chose to do so because of ethnic affiliations?

You should take back what you said. Take this statement back, that "The blanket support from Ndigbo for Oduah proves that Ndigbo support stealing, fraud, and corruption as long as it is committed by an Igbo. QED"

If you really understand the Igbos, you would not have made that comment.

Do you know the people that brought tribalism into this debate?

Again, can and will you be honest, Kats?

(I got to go, will be back in a couple hours or so....)
Katsumoto: Dude,

I don't give a rats ar.se for your respect. I came here not to earn anyone's respect but to debate issues. You lot have always resorted to ad hominem attacks in the past; so its no big deal.

You are asking me whether Oduah's hand was caught in the cookie jar? Are you without your senses?

Maybe you should ask whether it was her wrist, elbow, or entire torso that was in the cookie jar.

The blanket support from Ndigbo for Oduah proves that Ndigbo support stealing, fraud, and corruption as long as it is committed by an Igbo. QED
PoliticsRe: Open Secret: Beware! Not Only Oduah, Many More Are In Their Crosshairs by remarkD(m): 7:19pm On Oct 31, 2013
I and others whom have had a degree of respect for you in this section has also been disappointed time and time again, so its no biggy really since our identities are anonymous; at the topic, its like you do not get it, or are bluntly refusing to take a step back to allow objectivity and reason into your analysis...

but let me pose it as a simple direct question to you, drawn from your comment belowéabove:

Question:
Was Oduah's hand in the cookie jar?

(Note: I am not asking if she got caught or anything... but fraom the very first report from Sahara reporters and subsequently other news, is there without a doubt that Oduah dipped her hand into the cookie jar. If at all possible, be honest, please).

Katsumoto: This is rather shameful. I assumed the OP had a better head on his shoulders.

Regardless of whatever conspiracies may be flying around, there is enough evidence to suggest corruption on Oduah's part.

In normal situations, she would have resigned to clear her name.

Is Oduah the first official to be accused of corruption? Everyone knows most officials are corrupt but once you are caught with your hands in the cookie jar, you should not only lose your job but also go to prison.

Clearly one of the main issues with Nigeria is about differences in cultural practices. Apparently, in some cultures, excuses and conspiracy theories can be proposed to excuse stealing.

Your stance is the same stance as most Igbos, but given the type of people Stella is dealing with, and given how long they have been in this business of blackmail and treachery, they have been trying to drown out any possible form of logic, explanation or the so-called justice they say she deserves from taking its course...
and when it comes to Igbos, I expect nothing less from them, I was glad to see that the eyes of some people have been opened on the real, true color of these noisemakers, (like Papa Brown), but tis sad to see that Naptitude, whom I believe is Igbo, is with them on this slippery path they've sworn to bring as much people into; the proof? (and Napti, check this yourself...) his/your comments about Stella always begins with the premise that she was stealing/a thief/guilty.... and you and your oily friends highlight this always and then QUICKLY move on to the issue of those defending her and (your perceived and baseless reason) why such defences are happening...

Nyochaa onwe gi, its because of people like you & at times Afam and a few others that I am commenting in this section to make sure that no Igbo, not a single man or woman with a drop of Igbo blood flowing in him, will blindly join the bandwagon of those that roll on herd-mentality impulses...

-Remark D
Sam_Ikenna: A living breathing person deserves a chance to table his or her case, deserves a right to fair hearing, and must not be pronounced guilty until the justice system says so. Those above are essential ingredients without which a nation becomes a jungle. Lets ask this question - Did Punchng, Vanguard, Osun Defender, and other Lagos media echo chamber giver Oduah that? If not then why? You dont have to like me to ask yourself why, just do it.

There are things some folks don't easily get and that is - faceless online media is different from established News-outlets that physically exist and pay taxes to the state. Those established outlets give stories enough weight, and by and large majority of Nigerians who're between 45 and above and who really matter in the scheme of things as regards the affairs of this nation including many more who are working-poor get enough dose of their news from media houses. The Netizens are semi to full literate fellas between say - 15 and 45 and who, for all their braggadocio, are less inclined to street demonstration. Their job is only to stay indoor and incite the born-to-die/Almajiri.

So anyway what's my point - it is that, while I do not support any form of excess, I firmly believe we all deserve a fair legal and public prosecution devoid of any media intent, be it sectional or general, to muddy, bias, or overwhelm the public with facts and fiction in a bid to get an expected outcome regardless of the guilt or innocence of the accused. Any human that shares a contrary belief to the above needs a serious check upstairs.

My condemnation of Lagos media lynch group is because I've seen, with utter dismay, that they're irresponsibly throwing everything at Oduah with the hope that something sticks. This action is shameful and dangerous. The job of the media is bring the news and cover every side of the story. I would like anyone here to dare me and show a story from Punch, Vangaurd, Osun Defender, et al, where Oduah was given a fair presentation. Are we saying all these years Oduah's been working there is no one available to make a positive remark about her? Common!

What's going on is game wise folks know too well and that is - if you want to destroy a fellow first strip him of humanity by making him appear irredeemably dirty that no one, even his family, would have pity or any form of kinship with the accused. After the coast is clear pound on him - at this point the accused is guilty as charged - straight to jail.

For folks who say they thought I was detribalized, and this and that. Yes you bet I'm detribalized, at least to my knowledge I feel I am. But I would be a fool to deny the evident media gang-up against this woman. Let me make clear - I want Oduah to pay for her alleged crimes if they were true. If she enriched herself illegally using the state apparatus then the law must run its course. But until then, until the court says she stole from us I believe all detribalized men and women of honor should cross their arms and wait. To do different by trying to influence the outcome and expect Oduah's family, kinsmen, and well-wishers to not say a word is disingenuous and hypocritical - plain and simple.

Listen, I don't know which part of Nigeria you are from, it at all, but one thing is I know is that this comment you made came from a head, flat, round, triangular, or even shapeless that has a well-functioning brain inside it.

I am, therefore, subsequently sure that you can understand the reason a lot of comments in response to that of the OP. are along the trajectory they're on: - those whose eyes are clogged with tribalism and bigotry will see tribalism and bigotry all the time...

Not to mention when such people have been at it for years, and have really mastered the "art" together with treachery and deceit.

From the very first article on the issue posted by wahala reporters, they swamped on it like flies rushing to feast on vomit, and right of the back, blackmailed anyone and all that tried to point out the flaws and silliness of the whole report.

Any poster that came and read the article, and saw that things didn't add up.... (that Oodua was not directly linked to the purchases in what the reporter wrote) was immediately accused of "defending her because she is Igbo - (and you are Igbo too)"...
and then called tribalists supporting corruption etc.... and then more long epistles come, everyone of them has justice on his mind, the rule of law all of a sudden is their watch word.... and she is called a theif from the get go....

no matter how much explanation is given them, they're not interested to see the facts and carefully consider it, but they want to start from the premise that she is a thief before anything else is said... she is a thief because wahala reporters said so.... another of them cited Zik as an example; that he was "accused of corruption"... and therefore not deemed trustworthy.... (didn't care if it was true or not... only an accusation is what is needed according to their holy justice laws... ).

I just hope and pray that Igbos wake up and stop allowing liars to keep going unchallenged in matters that concern them. Their judgement is with God, but they still can not and should not be be deceived by falseoily prophets.
DaLover: I think you are confusing issues,
The OP did not pronounce her innocent or guilty, but is wondering why she has been crucified by the media already....

Fortunately the media is controlled by the SW in this country, the OP did a good job of letting readers know that the issues relating to Stella are multidimensional and not black and white corruption...

Right now the modus operandi of the SW media is to go for your jugular whenever you cross Yoruba interest!
If you choose to remain under the radar, avoid stepping of Yoruba toes, the media will let you be, at best one or two minor reports about corruption issues and the case will be forgotten. This way even when she is replaced by the next Igbo minister, he/she will not overstep boundaries set by the Yoruba interest groups

The OP said it very clearly, all corruption cases have to be treated equally, the emphasis of this post is to open eyes to the underlying currents and help people make better decisions.

The above strategy amounts to intimidation and actually tears the society apart

I need an explanation on why my post should be deleted, because as far as I know, nothing I said was false, insultive, and at most debateable.

If you do not wan me to express my opinion anymore on threads, then ban me outrightly.

Don't delete my post, not once, nor twice, but thrice; and here I was thinking my phone and computer were playing tricks on me.

You left posts insulting people's parents on the same thread... yet that I said the following is what you have problems with?:

-that Kwara is no longer a Yoruba state...

-that Igbos are populating Lagos state

- that we ar hearing cries of "Go back to your caves" from you-know-who...

- that Hausa traders are chancing Yoruba traders in Ibadan...

- that online trading of insults is highly valued by a certain group of people

- that a certain notorious poster that schooled with Igbos must have (and I recall using the word "probably"wink been refered to as the one that takes a dump in nylon bags...

and finally advising the poster I was responding to to "free" the posters he was chiding for bragging about being an e-warrior, whatever that means....

I highly value my time and am greatly offended that my posts will be deleted, without any warning, nothing offensive posted....

I demand that its either you ban me outrightly from this section and NL completely, or you restore my posts on that thread :

CultureRe: Igbodo Crisis: Obi Osadume Finally Bows To Tradition • Sacks Ibo Wife by remarkD(m):
His father-in-law, you and your oaf brothers are the only ones that can not recognize bravery when you see it; so its okay for you and your ilk to call a brave fighter like Ojukwu as whatever your oily brains churn out; however, the rest of the world sees Ojukwu as a warrior, a lion, a form of a demi-god whom the world powers could not hold down or capture...

however, even without the word "Nigeria" or any mention of anything that has to do with Nigeria... if you typed "The weeping General" into google...

the #1 hit in less than 5 seconds.... is one of your oafs... whom i'm sure you'd call brave... "brave"

so in the whole wide world... of billions and billions of people... even amongst privates, boys scouts, brigades etc.... no one is recognized for the height of cowardice exhibited by your "brave General".....

From China to India, Russia, Australia, Mauritania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Mexico, USA all over the world where people have the internet and google just a few clicks away, the moment they are asked:

"Who is the 'weeping General?'

in less than a minute they can type that in google and ...the most shameful abi should I say "shameless" brave General will be known...

they'll know his ethnic group....

and from there .... just as smooth as oil flows.....

you and your type will be known... your values, or lack thereof.... your hate and unwarranted envy.... your folly.... as exhibited in this thread where a homohabilis that can come on a computer is seeing a cultural affair as a general hatred of an ethnic group....

You are your own problems, homos... you are your own big problems and only you can help you...

keep it coming...
A man leading an army and fleeing warfront leaving defenceless women and children to die is the worst form of coward ever. Even his father in law alluded to it

When he was fleeing encouraged Biafrans to fight till death while he was in the comfort of Abidjan

Yet he came back got all his belongings wle the common man never got anything and he joined those who he claimed were enemies in the same Political party

OJUKU IS THE WORST FORM OF COWARD EVER BORN. If in doubt ask his Father In law
