Are the rebels killing any black they see better? Mscheew |
Eld Mubarak, Alhamdulillah for Allah's mercy allowing us to complete 2011 Ramadan fasting. May Allah accept all our acts during the month as ibadah to Him, reward and bless us abundantly. |
Builder:he loved his country too much, he did not respect the west, he has not borrowed money from IMF, he thought other African leaders should be like him. he rose against rebels, that are still being called rebels even by the backers, HE DID NOT KNOW WHEN TO LEAVE POWER. |
check this link. Fraud is a section 419 offence, that is the origin. http://www.nigeria-law.org/Criminal%20Code%20Act-Part%20VI%20%20to%20the%20end.htm Chapter 38 Obtaining Property by false pretences; Cheating 418. Any representation made by words, writing, or conduct, of a matter of fact, either past or present, which representation is false in fact, and which the person making it knows to be false or does not believe to be true, is a false pretence. 419. Any person who by any false pretence, and with intent to defraud, obtains from any other person anything capable of being stolen, or induces any other person to deliver to any person anything capable of being stolen, is guilty of a felony, and is liable to imprisonment for three years. If the thing is of the value of one thousand naira or upwards, he is liable to imprisonment for seven years. It is immaterial that the thing is obtained or its delivery is induced through the medium of a contract induced by the false pretence. The offender cannot be arrested without warrant unless found committing the offence. 419A. (1) Any person who by any false pretence or by means of any other fraud obtains credit for himself or any other person- (a) in incurring any debt or liability; or (b) by means of an entry in a debtor and creditor account between the person giving and the person receiving credit, is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for three years. (2) The offender cannot be arrested without warrant unless found committing the offence. 419B. Where in any proceedings for an -offence under section 419 or 419A it is proved that the accused- (a) obtained or induced the delivery of anything capable of being stolen; or (b) obtained credit for himself or any other person, by means of a cheque that, when presented for payment within a reasonable time, was dishonoured on the ground that no funds or insufficient funds were standing to the credit of the drawer of the cheque in the bank on which the cheque was drawn, the thing or its delivery shall be deemed to have been obtained or induced, or the credit shall he deemed to have been obtained, by a false pretence unless the court is satisfied by evidence that when the accused issued the cheque he had reasonable grounds for believing, and did in fact believe, that it would be honoured if presented for payment within a reasonable time after its issue by him. |
luluosas:that is my point, southern lawyers stayed in the bar, while northerners go to bench, the likes of FRA, Gani, Awolowo, Sofola, Afe Babalola, Bola Ige and many others could have made CJN, if they did not choose money making over power. North knows what they want and they stategised for it, in the South its always crying foul even when laid sown rules are being followed. |
xterra2:Southerners and whining. Below is the list of past CJN, 1958 - 1987 has been Southerner, I did not think the North complained, http://www.fjsc.gov.ng/list_of_chief.html List of Chief Justices of Nigeria The Supreme Court of Nigeria has had a proud history of honourable Chief Justices. Here is a list of the current and previous people who have held this respected position: 1. Hon. Justice Katsina-Alu (2010 - Present) 2. Hon. Justice I.L Kutugi CON (2007 - 2009) 3. Hon. Wow, people are now paying to watch novelty match, lol, roflmao ![]() |
This was the same way Awolowo was treated by Gowon, he was even appointed as vice chairman of the council. If she is up to the task, good for us. Others should just work for the good of the country. The presidency is that of G E J, he has the responsibility for failure or success they should obey him or leave his government. |
komek:Judiciary is not Federal Character but seniority. You join the line when you become federal judge. Southerners dont like to become judges, they stay as lawyers making money. |
klas:Southerners dont like to become judges, they stay as lawyers making money. FRA, Sofola, Gani, Odje, Babalola, kasumu and many others stayed at the bar when their Northern counterparts moved to the bench. You cant eat your cake and have it. |
Pastor Oritsejafor may just be protecting his own bank, Eagleflight MFB. Check below info and link, http://eagleflightbank.com/index.html http://eagleflightbank.com/chairman_statement.html Founded in 2005, Eagle Flight Microfinance Bank is a financial institution licensed with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and based in the city of Warri. Eagle Flight aims to encourage entrepreneurial development, instill a culture of savings and bridge the gap between the poor and the rich using technology. Eagle Flight Microfinance Bank does not report to the Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX), but the chairman of the bank, Pastor Helen Oritsejafor, reported that Eagle Flight had NGN 1 billion (USD 6.47 million) in share capital as of December 2010. |
iSad and iQuit releasesd at the same time. May you enjoy the rest ot you life though. All the best, Steve |
teskyg:It is unprecedented too for Appeal court president to move to Supreme court and become a junior member, they always retire as President of Appeal Court. Law profession as rule. Appointment in Judiciary is mostly based on seniority not so much a political arrangement. If you ask, the line up for CJN up next 10 may have been complied by now. |
PointB:The "mad man" led a country that has highest GDP in Africa, owing nobody a dime. has hospitals that work, refineries that produce enough for his people, creates work and housing for all his people, but forgot to recognise that there is life after power. If our own "sane men" could achieve at least one of his achievements most university graduates driving taxis in US, washing plates in London, prostituting in Italy, carrying drugs in Singapore etc etc, would not have left shore of their countries. |
afam4eva:It is purely by seniority from the date you join Federal High Court. |
Obiagu1:Rumour has it that she left OBJ cabinet because of argument on who should take credit for debit cancellation deal. lets see what will happen this time. Okonjo is now assuming the posture of Awolowo in Gowon's cabinet, Maybe GEJ should hand over to her immediately if he thinks Okonjo is solution to all our anticipated success, the Messi in his team. lol |
Golden Rule: Do whatever it takes to avoid having anything to do with police, not even as personal friend. It is a pity. |
I wonder how the Nigeria Police will be feeling now. Always jumping to conclusion without investigation. They said this man was missing not kidnapped just because no one has claimed or called for ransome at the time they went to press. Same way Onovo publicly claimed that Nuhu Ribadu was never in Nigeria even when TVs showed him at Gani Fawehinmi house. Na wa oo |
^^^ they are really trying, that is what Nigerdock should do. get refurbished and upgraded to be able to handlle those PMs in Nigeria. That will create a lot of business for artisans and material suppliers just as they have in places like Limbe, Port gentile, Shahaja and other places these MODUs go for repairs. |
^^^ that semi must just get there few days ago. the last time I drove by, a jack up was there and it is still there at Ladol dockyard, I know that definitely. |
That is how a society should work, just days after riot, culprits are begining to know their fate. If na naija, na only big big grammar we go dey hear, "We will get them" "We will leave no stone unturned" "There will be no sacred cow" bla bla bla bla then a committee will be set up. Wrong people will be arrested, the poor people will rot in jail awaiting trial, You can imagine the rest. |
^^^ it may be on transit awaiting custom papers, TIP (temporary import permit. It can also be maintenance. Most maintenance other that dry dock can be done in Lagos. |
NL people dem, a o una dey? |
@psychu, if the one you saw is pictured up there, that is a semi submersible, used to drill in fairly deepwater environment (>500ft) jack up has three legs sticking up. |
Chemical Engineers NSCHe Annual Conference, Exhibition and AGM is coming up 10 - 12 November, 2011 at Eko Hotel Lagos, Nigeria. Please see attached copies of the flyier or visit www.nsche.org.ng for more information. Regards
|
lol, yes, it is an oil drilling rig. They are at the dock to carry out PM preventive maintenance on the rig itself All heavy equipment do that on schedule. They used to go to Limbe in Cameron or Port Gentle in Garbon but Nigerian content is making sure they stay in Nigeria as much as possible now. |
not at cms, but at apapa dock, it is jack up rig on maintenance. |
There is no need to buy a book when you leave in the library. |
^^^ my sister just pray to God, that you don't resemble who they want. those guys don't discriminate btw poor or rich. they know that someone somewhere will drop something or even waste the person. |
it is so sad and frightening that these guys are being trained to be come sailors, an area that we have very scase resources since the demise of NNSL If these is their character, i wonder the kind of vessel captains and cheif mates they will become, hope we are not breeding "Pirates of Bight of Biafra" |
passyjango:That is it, you may be against him if is elected as chairman of parent teacher association of you kids school, not charmain of a bank. after all we cope with brats and spoilt kids as long as they are good strikers or sports men. Chukwukifu Oputa is one of best jugdes in Nigeria, are you saying his son, Charlie Boy is an example of best kids? |
