igbosoupkitchen:

While.we are comparing the numbers of the curency can we also please compare the purchasing power??
We are quick to compare naira to dollar, cedis to naira, cefa, euros, gbp etc and we only do so in terms on figures.

Let me ask you,
I dollar is = 480naira (what is the purchasing power of both?
1 dollar can buy you a cup of coffee in the USA but 480 naira can buy you tea( coffee, lipton, milo and milk) +sandwich
1 dollar can buy you 1 or 2 bottles of water in usa but 480 naira can buy 6 or 8 bottles of water in Nigeria.
500 cefa can only buy you 1 bottle water which is 250 cefa and 1 bottle of malt drink 250 cefa,
500 naira in Nigeria can buy you water, malt, gala, biscuit, bread and akara/eggroll
100cedis in ghana cannot buy you what 9000 can buy in Nigeria, FACT

If not for our lack of productivity as a country we will not be an import dependent country aĺways seeking validation of foreign currency.

Beer parlor comparison. A dollar buys you a cup of coffee when was the last time you saw a naira?

A river that forgets it source will surely runs dry. You have to help your mum, God gave you that job to support your family.

If it were your girlfriend, you would help her without thinking twice.

You can divide your salary into half, and give your sister to start a Saloon business/ become a hair stylist.

The next salary, you divide it and assist your brothers or brother to open a trade.

In 3 months time, there wouldn't be pressure on you to help the family. It is not good for one person to be rich in a family, let the rich one help others to get rich.

You should send 50% of your last month salary to sustain your mum.

You don't know what she passed through before birthing you. She would never tell you.

Switch of your cell phone and regret it for life.

Send her half of your salary for her health and remain blessed for life.
Well done last born.

Drove from Lagos to Jos August last year. left Lagos around 8am and got to lokoja between 7 to 8pm met serious hold up along lagos- ibadan exp road. full tank of 70litre took me to ganaja junction in lokoja where I bought another fuel that took me to abacha road in mararaba.
Spent the night there and continued next morning to Jos.
Gave a policeman a lift from the filling station at ganaja jxn to abuja that made it easy for me to evade custom wahala cos I was driving a tokunbo car.
Overall the movement was smooth and no issues.
Just drive carefully
car is a 2011 Camry SE 4 cylinder

the problem is, this fraudsters are now smarter. chances are, the account the money was transferred to is a 'no trace account'! they open those accounts online using other people's details (bvn etc) but they control the account. they open the account for the sole purpose of the scam and then they discard. if law enforcement tries to track the account, the wrong, innocent person will be picked up!
such account can not be allowed to hold such amount of money. usually not more than 20k if am not mistaken.

I was at Transamadi Portharcourt when these young men approached me and started preaching about NeoLife,

I listened intently to them, they said a job was slavery, that it was a temporal solution to a long term problem.

They said Jobs means Just over broke

They were inspiring, they had sweet tongues and almost bought me over.

The point of the story is that, you will never be free working for somebody, Salary is a bribe to forget your own dream.

Even if you are paid a million naira it won't still solve your problems, once you make 100k, you will have 200k problems.

If you make 1 million you will have 2 million naira problem.

Your child cannot inherit your job,

create jobs rather than coming here to compare jobs
absolutely...am following you right up
