If T.Y Danjuma is among the elders, then they should suck jupiter's cock.... They are the biggest financiers of the impending doom |
Mr. Shehu got it right with the opening statement but poisoned the whole article with the addition of Buhari and APC. Buhari is a known synonym for Division in mathematics. Nigeria has never been divided the way it is now, all thanks to Buhari and his divisive actions and utterances, unmitigated failure, stifling policies and rudderless stance in piloting the affairs of the country..... The citizens are seeing themselves as enemies because of the Buhari induced convulsion in practically every sector of our national life. Btw, patiently waiting for when Garba Shehu will be sacked......enough said |
Drama everywhere...... What will Buhari be doing in a poverty ravished country with a combustible short leader? Enjoyment? Certainly not Even Kim Jung Un don't enjoy his country apart from the sight of nuclear weapons. Buhari should resign though.... |
EazyMoh:Who told you the North is almost four times the size of the south? Where did you get the stat? Or you did the demographic studies yourself? I mean no offense..... What you said is just a political statement among other ones that politicians and their cronies peddle.... |
Tuntheycr7:Watch Into the Badlands 1&2 Its a series |
Nice advice especially for this generation of make up and image girls.....taking pictures at every turn BTW, what is meaningful about reciting the Qur'an? |
Few years from now, nothing will remain in Nigeria especially with the way we are descending. Nigeria, Hobbesian state of nature..... |
It is saddening that stupidity is gradually becoming a national symbol in Nigeria...apologies to the elder statesman. It is reckless for a comment like this coming from a widely believed elder statesman. Leadership, clearly is an intellectual activity which most of our leaders are seriously lacking. It is not a stupid question like this that will make this people abandon their agitation. Engage these people in intellectual discussion, make and introduce deliberate plans that will enable them see reasons why it is better for them to remain as part of Nigeria, rather than live in a separate state. This stale narrative of it is insane for anyone to ask for separation, those that did not witness the war are the ones asking for separation is very nauseating. IPOB's crude means of agitation should not be equally met with stupid comments from our supposed leaders. Maybe, our founding fathers were insane when they demanded for independence from British rule |
CROWNWEALTH019:Thank you sir. Some Nigerians are very dramatic. Putting their own opinion of Saraki above what the law says is laughable. Saraki is a necessary evil, and we must commend him for standing up to executive rascality. |
Nigeriadondie:Nigerians and selective holiness. Being an Oba automatically makes him a son of the devil....very funny reasoning. Whether to be fetish or not as a traditional ruler is a thing of choice. Not because so many do it doesn't mean everyone is like that. Solomon was a king but yet was loved by God. Paul was a serial killer until he was called into the vineyard. Sir, don't condemn or write off the Oba even before he begins. Good morning |
yarimo:I am afraid I can't help you again |
yarimo:@bold. Why are you contradicting yourself? The example you gave above is not plausible therefore is null and void. I want to ask, within the period the ambassadorial nominee was rejected and resubmitted for confirmation, did he or she perform the functions of the said office? I understand your perspective. It's semantics. Disqualification and rejection are not same in the constitution both it can still be argued based on context. Disqualification does not qualify one to be resubmitted for confirmation, while rejection is not. I guess this is what you are trying to say. Let me surprise you sir, Magu's case is even worse. The Senate disqualified him and equally rejected him. On top of this, the man and his band of law breakers has committed illegality too by discharging the functions of that office even after his rejection record three times. If Nigeria were to be a sane country, Magu ought to have been arrested |
yarimo:I guess you are too fast. There is no harm in asking or trying to find out if I'm a legal practitioner myself. Please, read the last part of my earlier comment again. I did not opine that there is disqualification in the said provision, rather the constitutional provision gives the Senate the power to endorse or decline by way of confirmation. If the Senate rejects or declines confirmation, the appointment cannot take effect, according to the spirit and letters of the constitution. My point is, the Senate rejecting an appointment is as good as disqualifying an applicant in a recruitment process because such appointment cannot stand as far as the law is concerned. Nigeria is a lawless country that is why most citizens don't even know basic legislations. Citizens are manipulated even with basic things. Imagine our professor VP once said the Senate is not needed to confirm Magu's appointment, and so many applauded him because it played into their cards. But I asked the questions, was the professor VP sleeping when Magu's name was forwarded to the Senate for confirmation? Where did the professor VP and his erstwhile no nonsense boss draw the powers to appoint Magu as EFCC chair, if not the Act that established the EFCC? My brother, a rejected appointee continuously holding office is an illegality and is enough to initiate impeachment proceedings. Nigeria, a lawless country indeed. On your advise that I should get a lawyer to interprete disqualification, I don't think there is need for me to do that. Lawyers only interprete the provisions of the constitution in line with their case. Thank you sir |
Congratulations sir A king with a heart that loves God....may the combination bring forth good fruits to his people |
yarimo:My brother, I think your comment is deliberate or selective amnesia. The constitution gave them the power to confirm certain appointees of government...with that power, they can endorse or decline. Wherein they decline, it becomes the disqualification of the appointee(s), and it so stands. My question now is, are you trying to feign ignorance of the provision that gave the Senate the power of confirmation, or you have a special love for the word Disqualification? |
I support 100% I'm suffering it Kudos to her for the advise |
To much drama when Buhari, APC, Saraki and SR are involved..... |
maxnedu11:God bless you for the above. I love and appreciate people that think....but from the comments so far, it appears not so many think here. The letter is not coherent. A writer that is familiar with certain words in the letter couldn't have done something this poor. The letter is a sea of errors, and certainly is doctored by someone trying to beat the current recession in the country |
phpfx:That is the reason he gave for picking Aston Villa over Westham. The probability of Chelsea playing against Aston Villa in any competition other than the Premier League is not certain. As a legend of the club, he wouldn't want to see that happen....it's just loyalty |
This one never know wetin dey work am..... |
Hmmmm Make dem leave our Maya alone o What's LASG even doing concerning this terror group? Person no fit even open window sleep again... |
People should take things easy sha in order not to disturb people like me I neither have time for Nigeria nor Biafra |

I think its somewhere in V.I. don't remember where exactly. This waterfront is clearly not Marina....not at all. The Mushin guy though |
isnovic:thank you |
It is laughable that the apostles of this present government get fulfilment when the name Jonathan is mentioned. At one point they say the NERDC is solely responsible for the curriculum as an independent body, even as far as saying the present government nor the educational minister is responsible for the change, which absolves the government of wrongdoing. At another, they blame Jonathan because the review was done under his government. I thought they said nothing was removed, and that some people are just trying to be mischievous. What did Jonathan do wrong with this now?? |
Nice one |
The paragraph before the last one is a famous quote by Obafemi Awolowo. I can tell you that he is right to have said what he said. The tone of the article tried to blame him but I want to ask, isn't it the same reason a section of the country is agitating for separation? Isn't it the same reason we kill ourselves on daily basis because we don't see ourselves as Nigerians? Isn't it the same reason why there is widespread nepotism, hate, intolerance in the country today? Indeed, Nigeria is a distinctive appellation used to describe those living within this territory from others who are not. The problem with Nigeria and Nigerians is that we do what we condemn. I have lived in the North, in the east, all my life in the west, and my native south, we all hate, victimize, refuse to see ourselves as same people united by one country. We turn around and blame our neighbours for same thing we do. Until when we stop offending the wrong person, and begin to tell ourselves the truth that we all deserve to change at the ethnic level, we'll continue to go in circles. Lastly, I'm surprised it took the OP this long to realize Nigeria is founded on fraud and it is what it is today because of what it is founded to be. |
The towel is meant to be dirty. The dermatologists will explain better ... |
One lady that I hold in high regards. She is modest, smart, diligent, and above all, has defeated foolishness. Well done ma'am I'm very certain society will learn alot from you |
Buhari is older than 3 joined together... |
Why is the the rebuttal coming from other sources when Mrs Ambode should be the one talking? CAN is finished. They should go and register with corporate affairs commission as profit making organization so that people can start submission of CVs for employment. |
