alexistaiwo: ON behalf of all Chelsea fans worldwide. I say we don't care. Barcelona denied us more than three penalties in 2009. Herrera handball led to a goal last week at Old Trafford. Manchester United once gave us two red cards (Torres and ivanovic) to draw from 3-0 down Luis Garcia ghost goal UEFA champions League semi-final 2005. Even our Oga Real Madrid needed two offside goals and fake red card to eliminate Bayern Munich. And more that lack of time wont permit me to write. So once again we don't care. Liamm: This guy is high on some stuff. You want to name one of your boys judas? I wish you a betrayal-free son. I think the names we bear have a way of influencing our character. I'd rather name my son Jesus. Naming him judas is like taking a gamble which I know may affect him. Imagine introducing your son to a friend. You be like "meet my son, judas". Your son would hate you for life mate Exactly the mind set the post is meant to change. It is a misplacement of priority to go after Judas for doing a job assigned to him. You and I could have done it anyways if it were to be our days. Looking at the big picture, looking at Judas, the sin he committed served a greater good. A purpose was behind it, salvation for mankind. But this generation, what do we do, sometimes we commit sin for absolutely no reason. Jumia delivery man killed for phone, how about that? |

zionmade: Bros i love ur passion in naming ur boy Judas. Its not a bad name though. But Judas Jesus' disciple was stealing from d purse of Jesus which made him available for use by d devil. Jesus didn't die because someone betrayed him. Even if no one betrayed him, at d appointed time, he could have still died. The question is, by what means? He could not have died a natural death, because the purpose for the death was meant to be a sacrifice. Whether Judas stole from the purse is just one of the many sins we all commit, and is not enough to write him off. Mind you, when Christ died, his death also washed away the sins of Judas....I believe! For me, the man only carried out a divine assignment whether good or bad, because someone needed to do the job. As the OP rightly opined, some of the characters in the bible that we so much respect, did equally despicable things that were not divinely ordained or programmed. Yet we adore them, we wish to be like them. I think we should give Judas a break.... |

How many people does autism kill in a year? Fulani herdsmen kill hundreds every month and render most families poor as they chase them away and graze on their farmlands. Deep words I think what we need is a march against bad governance in Nigeria as it is presently in the country. |

Why hasn't the DG been prosecuted? It is disheartening that some Nigerians are manipulated with even basic things. Looking at some of the commentators here, I only but feel sorry for my country. A panel of inquiry or whatever name they gave to themselves was constituted not too long ago, and is yet to give a report. Already, storylines are flying in from all corners of the country with the usual always blame the devil (previous gov't) attitude. I have never seen a government where almost all the citizens are spokesperson on behalf of government. Panel is yet to give a report but it is already acknowledged as one of the many sins of the previous government. This is just one of the too many distractions of this rudderless government |

SillyMods: Show us where it is written in the constitution that the senate must confirm the chairman of effcc?. It's only in the EFCC Act and not in the constitution. And when such clash occurs btw the constitution and any other Act, the constitution reigns supreme.
Sorry to inform you, in my books, PMB is not corrupt. If you have facts, bring them forth and not the lies being propagated by your pained PDP losers. I have heard and seen many say the bold, but it is not TRUE. The constitution is a body of laws, and the business of law making is a continuous one. The constitution is not self sufficient, therefore undergo the process of amendment to capture new realities, and if need be, new measures are introduced in the form of Acts. Acts go through the constitutional legislative procedures before they take effect, and as such, are laws themselves. Acts don't conflict with the constitution because they flow from the constitution, and are rooted in the constitution. In a case where they do, the Judiciary through the power of Judicial Review can declare them ultra vires, therefore becomes null & void. For example, the Act establishing the EFCC is in that manner because the constitution gives the Legislature (National Assembly) the power to give approval to major Executive appointments. It is that simple. Therefore, asking where in the constitution it is written that NASS give approval to confirm the EFCC chair, for me is a none question and an attempt to create a tsunami in a tea cup. It will interest you to know that the President drew the power to appoint the EFCC chair, from the EFCC Act. Now the Act is good to appoint and not good enough to confirm? Here is a simple logic in the form of a question. How possible is it for the constitution to have captured this EFCC question when the EFCC was not in existence when the constitution was drafted? I believe the answer is not that difficult to decipher. If you do correctly, you will understand that the EFCC Act only filled a vacuum which was as a result of our national need at the time of establishing the EFCC. This follows that the constitution and the Act are not in conflict. The latter only flowed from the former. Personally, I think our VP professor is just trying to bend the truth to favour their own end of the balance of power arrangement. |

freeze001: It is that small, subsistence agriculture for immediate family that breeds poverty. Is food the only requirement for survival? Will people not progress beyond food for the stomach? Even for d food can one grow everything? Will u not buy others like fish, meat, oil etc? Will they not wear clothes, buy electronics, raise children et al?
The Sultan's reasoning and yours are myopic. Basic agriculture gets one nowhere in the long run, it is the commercial industrialization that makes it viable and rakes in the income. That is where the government must come in and see to it that agriculture becomes viable at the highest possible level. Herdsmen remain backward in their nomadic style and continue causing havoc n mayhem yet we're nowhere near the top exporters of beef n milk. We even import those items! bless you for the above. The Sultan is just trying to seize the moment. What he said is a rhetoric of failed leaders trying to attribute their failure to the people. If we must all grow our food, develop ourselves all round, then what is the essence of government and the Nigerian state? So far, government has not been able to put in place even the prerequisites for self development, so what are we talking about? Sultan should go and ask the President, NASS members, himself, how they grow their food. Maybe that will help explain why they are not hungry.... |

pocohantas: Let me tell you something as a lady, Nigerian men would continue getting Basic1 sex styles till they learn to be more open minded. Women wanna wow their men in the other room, but no one wants to be judged. No one wants her man wondering how many men she has spread the legs to various degrees for.
You arc that ass for a Nigerian man, instead of him to worship it...he pauses and starts wondering how many niggas you been arching it for. You give him a BJ and he starts asking how many guys you have given a BJ. Y'all ask too much gadamn questions!!!
Sadly, majority of you ask these questions not even to know a sister better, but to judge her. Very TRUE Some men raise those questions out of ignorance, while others do because of the sexual inclinations of most Nigerian girls, the guys too though. Most ladies sell sex in Nigeria, and the worth depends upon how well they do it, for example, the action from the four cardinal points, and how well she is able to take control of the four cardinal points. This gives men the impression that ladies who ordinarily do things like that are wholesalers, or worse still, shoprite. Anyways, that is not enough grounds to judge anybody when they express themselves sexually, as you rightly said. Being open minded and accepting or admitting what we want will go a long way in diffusing the situation |

The country is hella fūcked up, and is degenerating at the speed of light, but every one is fuckin scared to admit the obvious. Been praying for Nigeria since i was a child and things just keep getting worse. The old and worn out phrase "naija go better" is no longer adopted by artistes and those overly optimistic hypocrites who after using such phrases, quickly seek citizenship abroad, and give birth to kids abroad, while still singing naija go better in our ears. Nigeria right now is so fůcked up even bitćhes despise her!!! You can't keep doing the wrong things and anticipating favorable results, hoping prayers and wishful thinking will do the magic!!! This country needs a fuckiñg revolution, and trust me, its nearer than we ever thought You made sense I must say. Making it seem prayer is the remedy to our numerous problems in this country is laughable...respect to the man of God. How can a country that does not do even the basic things correctly, pray correctly? Nigeria as a nation needs practical solutions to our problems, and that begins when we call a spade a spade, as you rightly said above. Those who have the means to make the system change for the better does not even believe in the system. How do we pray? Until Nigeria begin devising home made solutions to her problems, that includes removing this toga of religion from our national psche, we will continue teething as a nation. Bomb blast; pray, building collapse; pray, accidents and bad roads; pray, stolen funds; pray, flooding; pray, meningitis; this one I don't even understand from the prism of the Zamfara State Governor. |

Hope has a different meaning as far as the Nigerian project is concerned. Hoping that Nigeria will get better is like looking forward towards a return to our childhood. The place is a jungle where death, lying, cheating, robbery, rascality, poverty of morality hold sway. A country that has genuine intentions of developing does her best to avoid, tame the elements listed above. But what do we do here, we create them, nourish them, celebrate them, and make them appear as the normal thing to do. The Nigerian state has failed her people in such a way that people now aspire to become criminals. All forms of social vices have been normalized in Nigeria. Like I subtle ask myself always, did we fvck the devil as a nation? Or Christ was crucified in Nigeria? My dear, Hope is one thing that is very unusual to keep in Nigeria |
