AngelicBeing: Because the entity is called a jungle, in a jungle, it is confusion, anarchy, stepping on toes, impunity, chaos, gangster-ism, deception, lies, cheating, robbery etc, the jungle we are talking about needs to be purged completely, the foundation needs to be destroyed and erect a stronger foundation that will stand the test of time, with this sandy foundation we have in Nigeria and we want to erect sky-scrappers with 80 floors will not work, with time it will collapse completely I like your characteristics of the jungle. Exactly what the Nigerian State is made of today. |

ebokhaison: If Magu can not tell Nigerians the owner of such amount of money discovered and nobody has be called or detained by him, it shows a high level of incompetency because a whistle blower can not tell a location of such money without the owner being attached to it. Magu and his men, efcc should tell us the truth so that they can clear our doubt. Thank you sir for this comment. The apartment, the whistle blower, the type of whistle that was blown should be made public. The EFCC trying to claim ignorance just makes me sick. There are too many resources at the disposal of the FG not to know the identity of the apartment owner. |

There is problem in this country. The NIA, the foremost intelligence agency in Nigeria is dragged through the mud in this public display of shame.
How can the NIA stash that amount of money in a building that is not exclusively under their control? Even if they did, how come the NIA did not find out until the EFCC made moves on the building?
The NIA is an apex predator as far as national security ladder is concerned. If the NIA cannot neutralize an internal security breach like this one, then how much more an external threat? Or just maybe, the NIA is just throwing itself in the mix.
This whole noise is just another nail to the incompetence of this present administration. I guess the commander in chief is not getting real time updates from his boys... |

Those clowns wouldnt have done jack if the same facility was manned by either DSS agents or the Army. I guess the Agency did not want the drama. But this is a major embsrrasment on the part of the EFCC. If truly the money belongs to NIA, then allowing the EFCC to invade that facility is a major national security breach. If the NIA cannot contain an internal issue like this, how much more an external threat? If proven to be TRUE, this is another nail to the incompetence of this APC led administration. It appears the Commander-in-Chief is not getting real time updates on the activities of his subordinates. The country is now in a free for all... |

There is absolutely no reason for the EFCC to trace the owner(s) of the said money, because they already know the source of the money. EFCC is only playing the deaf man dance in order to reconcile figures, do some paper works, and perfect a clever response that will make Nigerians look the other way. The NIA story they released, the people are not buying it. The NIA is at the top of the security ladder, hence cannot be disgraced publicly by the EFCC. NIA money in Ikoyi... BlueWizAngel: true challenge now is that "Average Nigerians" are many The assertion you quoted as average Nigerians being the problem is very wrong, in my opinion. The failure or success of a government is assessed on the templates of how the Executive Arm conduct its activities. President Buhari should learn how to use the other organs to his advantage, using democratic means. When the American economy almost defaulted under President Obama as a result of Congress, most especially the House, refusing to raise the debt ceiling, President Obama did to cry to Americans to beat up the law makers before the impasse subsided. Secondly, if the economy had defaulted, the blame would have gone to President Obama, and not the House. That is how the Federal Democratic system works. President Buhari should engage these supposed crooks using democratic culture, the system is self cleansing.... Lastly, who is an average Nigerian according to your post? How did you arrive at the classification to arrive at the conclusion that they are the problem, and they know nothing? |
Politics › Re: "If Buhari Fails In Corruption War, Nigeria Is In Big Trouble" - VP Osinbajo by ReubenE(m): 6:48pm On Apr 12, 2017 |
ollah2: I agree with the VP but many people won't agree with him simply because of religious and tribal sentiments. Also, an average Nigerian knows nothing. To them, their major problem is Buhari forgetting that the major problems of Nigeria are the House and the Judiciary. These two are filled with legalised corrupt b*astards.
No case has ever been won in the court even if the evidence is as clean as the whistle.
Nigerians would rather hit their religious centers and pray to their respective foreign gods to solve our local problems. You made a nice submission until you almost derailed. Perhaps you are not very clear with the Federal Presidential system. I mean no offense The Executive Arm of Government, and by extension, the President is the embodiment of a nation's sovereignty. He is the symbol and rallying point of all State affairs both internally and externally. Nigerians are not wrong for putting the blame on him because that is how the system works. It is now left to him to navigate through the hurdles that lie ahead to make Nigeria a great nation, that includes liasing with the other Arms of Government to complete the cycle using democratic means. My brother, democracy does not accommodate blames. Democracy demands results that will translate to better life for the people, but so far, our President has not been able to give us the results we need. Organising all the Organs of Government to work towards one goal is what will make him a good President. Passing that job to the citizens will show him as incompetent, unfit for the position he occupies. We will continue to yap, cry, blame until our voices are heard.... |

Nice write up but it's not that simple. Security men by the gate are known to wield so much power that they may not even allow you go beyond them, unless you have a good reason to...certainly not job seeking.
I have a brother that has being looking for a shipping company to do his sea time placement for a very long time, I can tell you that most of the shipping companies located in Apapa denied him entrance at several occasions, and made him drop CV with bloody security men who are hell bent on frustrating any effort related to job seeking.
OP, I think I have to agree with the other school of thought that one must have a backup in order to see even the MDs shadow not to talk of spending few minutes with him. Unfortunately, that is the society we find ourselves. Nevertheless, we have to keep trying in order to make it work. Nice one OP |

Minemrys: if by big bangie you mean me being an atheist, you are wrong. Am a religious guy who believes in God. But atimes one needs to questi0n s0methings, such as the authenticity of the b0oks one uses as reference. Fr0m the religious b0oks, am made to understand that the jews were God's favored people am0ngst his other creations. They are blessed, God loves them and banned them fr0m marrying the philistines or other races God sees as d0omed. God sent the jews to war with other tribes, chased them fr0m their land making it theirs. God refered to other tribes and gentiles n0t worthy of the blessings of the jews so they are made to pick crumbs like dogs [the syrophoenician w0man and jesus]. The gospel was only meant for the jews till paul came in to stop that theory. In the bible based on s0me things in it, evidences say the yahweh hated the arabs. C0me to the other side, the muslim said, virtually the same but this time, God favored the arabs than the jews, God sees the jews as bad people and asked the arabs to avoid them. Where am i getting at? Fr0m the crumbs gathered fr0m these b0oks, all i see presented of God are human natures. Racism, imperialism, war m0ngering etc which c0ntradicts fr0m the preachings that God is good, of good and all things good but then the scriptures divert. They d0n't add up unless the b0oks are n0t what they say they are. They are written by people inspired by God yet the b0oks have been revised thousand times with the revelati0n about to be cut fr0m the others. Why are they revised in the 1st place if God inspired the authors? Unless God n0w magically has the power of making mistakes or errors. I believe there is God but n0t what men paint him as. I must admit you made a very fine presentation here. There is a place in the book of Matthew where an important question is raised about one being wrong for doing whatever he likes with his property? Christ raised this question when he likened the kingdom of Heaven to a vineyard where the owner hired laborers to work with a penny each. Those he hired in the eleventh hour also got a penny. Those the owner hired earlier in the day started complaining of being treated unfairly. In reaction, the vine owner said to the workers, I hired you to work for a penny i.e the agreement between himself and the workers. In conclusion, the owner asked, is it wrong for me to do whatever I want with my own? what this means is that God does whatever he likes with his own....whether he is partial with his own, I don't think anybody can explain it correctly except the owner. |

drake2000x: I don't understand....is it against the law for BDC to change that kind of money? Then what's the purpose of BDC if they keep arresting people changing money with them? If you don't BDC, a legal financial institution by the way, then abrogate the institution to stop all these nonsense. Personally I think they are responsible for the dollar scarcity...via hoarding With the current trend, having a large amount of money automatically translates to stealing. Some are already saying look at what one person stole. A BDC having two hundred and fifty million in my opinion is not something of surprise. Proper investigation should be done before bringing it to the media so it will not look like putting the cart before the horse, if not, reoccurring cases like this will do more harm to an already worse situation. BDCs have a very close romance with hoarding, and this will force them to do it even more if care is not taking while trying to remove the weeds... |

I guess most are not looking at the security implications of using others picture as DP. It is both dangerous to the user, and the one whose picture is used.
The ladies, it limits your chances of getting a good man especially when the lady does not end up with the one that uses her picture as DP. Imagine Emeka, John, Eric, Peter, Femi, Anifowose, they all used Stella as DP and she never ended with any of them. This will show her as a lose person especially in this part of the world where so many irrelevant things are attached to marriage.
I think what the man said about DP makes sense when put in perspective...but the others, I don't know |

You think you can win terrorist groups ??
The USA which is the strongest country on earth woefully lost their fight in Vietnam, Japan, Iraq and Afghanistan
Keep on dreaming about the fight jets
USA does not sell weapons to foreign countries they don't have control over
Like you rightly said, the U.S does not sell weapons to countries they have no control over. But then again, they have money to make here, secondly it is way of keeping us from running to the East, precisely Russia or China which the U.S would not want to happen. In my opinion, if the U.S is not ready to sell the likes of F18 to us, they should keep these ones because we can get them with a cheaper price from Russia or China..... |
