But I think it can get better if poverty is alleviated meaningfully
Wealth distribution and quality education will clean it up, but it will take a long time. That is the long term solution.
Law enforcement crackdown with strict punishment and a massive public awareness campaign is the only short term solution I can see. Innocent people are dying everyday, it's so heart-wrenching.

There is one thing about the whites... They tell the truth.... 85 out of 100 of them will tell you things point blank... I so love them and their mentality is different from ours... Imagine him say that even to the face of the president... Sir!!! I respect the whites.... Invite an African leader and you hear him say something else cos of Ghana must go
You are a good observer, sir. Oyinbo will tell the bitter and ugly truth point blank, especially when they are complete outsiders.

This news mean rituals are not limited to any Nigerian tribe. Virtually every African tribe is into rituals, be it Hausa, igbo or Yoruba. Any tribe that thinks it is holy is fooling itself
It is not limited to only Nigeria, either. It's all over Africa.
There are graphic photos of a Ghanaian snapchat celebrity girl, (google gahana snapchat girl murder) brutally killed and her body parts harvested in Ghana. It happens in Tanzania (albino murders and organ harvesting), Gambia, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya (which you say is years ahead of Nigeria), pretty much everywhere in Africa.

Google country name ritual murder and put any country you want, see for yourself.
Ritualist killing and organ harvesting seems to be one of the cancers infecting Africa. I think the governments of all African countries need to come together and start a massive campaign to put an end to it.
CrimeRe: California Police Kill A Black Man After Mistaken His Cellphone For A Gun. by revontuli(f): 10:34pm On Mar 22, 2018
Trigger-happy lunatic cops is a major problem in America, you don't see that kind of behavior anywhere else in the developed world.
We know they shoot unarmed black men left and right.

Let's take a look at some of the other people they shot within the recent few years:

An autistic white kid https://www.cbsnews.com/video/graphic-video-released-of-police-shooting-of-autistic-boy/
A mentally ill and pregnant black mother https://www.cbsnews.com/news/report-autopsy-shows-seattle-woman-shot-by-police-hit-7-times-was-pregnant/
An autistic black teenager https://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/stephon-watts-police-shooting-autism-death/Content?oid=20512018
An innocent, harmless pet dog: https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Off-Duty-Mansfield-Police-Officer-Shoots-and-Kills-A-Family-Dog-454190323.html
An autistic white woman https://edition.cnn.com/2016/02/05/us/aspergers-woman-killed/index.html
An elderly, disabled white man http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2568848/SC-officer-shoots-man-reaching-cane.html
A 6 year old white boy (stray bullets) https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/12/kameron-prescott-anger-police-bullet-kills-child-171224091628070.html
A 7 year old black girl https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/aiyana-jones-7-killed-by-detroit-cop/

These are just a few cases I found by googling things like "police shoots child", "police shoots elderly", "police shoot disabled", you can find hundreds of them.
Police shootings issue is a serious cancer in America, there is absolutely no defending this excessive use of deadly force on unarmed, and sometimes disabled and helpless citizens, or firing so many bullets that little kids get shot by the strays.

Christianity EtcRe: A Thread Of My Questions To Vaxx on his religion - Yoruba Traditional belief by revontuli(f): 3:20pm On Mar 22, 2018

I will answer you base on NIGERIA constitution. NIGERIA government recognize juju...page 20, section 207, clause 2 of the Nigerian Constitution acknowledges and makes the use of harmful juju illegal. which means there can be good juju too... it is stated like this.....

'The State Commissioner may by order prohibit the worship or invocation of any juju which may appear to him to involve, or tend towards the commission of any crime or breach of peace, or to the spread of any infectious or contagious disease.'

you can see that clause but I know that Nigerian authorities will have a problem when it comes to arresting a fetish priest or a juju practitioner because nobody will want to deal with someone who can cast a spell on you. so in neutral sense. the position that juju is not effective may be promoted so that it can be accepted by many.

i will not want to tell you if charms are real, but i can adequately tell you our herbs are effective. revontuli
Many thanks for the informative reply.
I see news about village gangs destroying the shrines of juju priests suspected of casting evil spells, but it's rare and they might be attacking the wrong people. If the majority of the population & especially the law enforcement staff is scared of touching it, that can make cracking down on the human sacrificing cultists & evil priests very difficult.

If were the government, I'd outsource the task of cracking down on the harmful/violent juju cults to foreigners who don't believe in it and therefore not scared of it (Chinese, Egyptians, Russians?)

You also said on one of your post that you prefer dating northern European men.Now you're asking that guy why he favors light skin. are you a hypocrite? Also, how does another's choice bother you? so if he said he prefers dark skin, would that make it right ? doesn't every individual have the right to make their choices and preferences? would you also have a problem with all the millions of humans on earth who have variety of preferences such as :slanted eyes, short hair , tanned skin, brown skin, dark skin ,short hair ,blue eyes, brunette, blonde, etc?
It's just simple questions, Nowhere did I state I have a problem or anything of that nature. That's your over-interpretation bro.
I asked that with the bleaching trend in mind, though.

My own preferences don't cause anyone to alter their appearance & Nordic men don't get enough love grin

Rape is not okay! Rape is WRONG and a WICKED act!

Question for the rape apologists of NL who think rape victims enjoy it: Would you like it if someone raped your mother/sister/daughter/wife?

Do you seriously think if someone jumped from the bush, raped your mother/sister/daughter/wife that would be totally fine?

Would you enjoy it if someone raped you?

Let's try to be unsentimental so we can see the clear picture sometimes.
But I don't think Russia did it.

If it were them, they would do a clean job by giving the victim a quantity that would kill him ASAP before anyone discover.
I think Britain stage managed it to name Russia as a black sheep.
Just my opinion.
In retrospect, maybe the British deep state staged it to gain sympathies at the Brexit negotiations. Who knows?

Christianity EtcTraditional African Religion - Questions by revontuli(op): 11:19pm On Mar 21, 2018
I'm curious about juju and native religions.
Do the juju priests summon spirits? Or travel to the astral themselves and negotiate with the spirits/gods there?
I know a bit about the pagan religion and witchcraft of Yoruba origin practiced in Latin America (Santeria) but next to nothing about the living African native religion and juju practices.
I see a lot of info about the money rituals involving gruesome murder, but that can't be the only kind of magic practice. The other example I saw was Oba of Benin lifting curses to help out the sex trafficking victims.
Are there witchcraft practices for good purpose like healing, helping marriage problems, not involving any blood?
Any distinct divination, fortune telling practices? Dream interpretations? What do they do for banishing the bad spirits/energies?

Fufu is a general terms used to describe either pounded yam (yam fufu), pounded cassava (cassava fufu), pounded Coco yam (Coco yam fufu) or any other starch meal made from tuber crops.
it is however safe to say that when 'fufu' is mentioned without being specific, the person is most likely referring to 'cassava fufu'. So, Ghanaian fufu could be cassava fufu (most likely) and not pounded yam.
Ghanaians love their cassava, so that's the difference between Nigerian and Ghanaian fufu!

Didn't mean to offend a foreigner. But....

It's sad right? sad We can chose to blame the West / Britain all we want for the divide & conquer BS but, the aftermath unity is everyone's responsibility NOT just a majority few. Dear, there's more to this than you'd ever imagine. Living in a society like the U.S (Minneapolis, MN to be precise) where racism could be an issue, you'd assume someone like me should be blind to these sort of things. But, you need to read the preceding comments and get a glimpse of this animals from the SE (Igbo tribe precisely) Nigeria's perspectives and their notion on unity, peace and development! huh

Talk of humility... they are so bereft of it, lack any ounce of it and seem to be suffering from arrogance and pride. Go figure!

They're too divided, un-accommodating, arrogant, rude, bigots et al... They're usually the ones to call for Buhari's (President) head and tend to blame everybody else other than themselves for their current predicaments. They claim to know all and stuff yet, remain the most under-developed region in the nation.

Can you imagine strangers going to a place and being rude to the host with chants of 'no man's land'. How disgusting! angry angry
You have the Boko Haram problem with the whole world watching in horror, all those ritual murders everyday, and you choose to hate on the Igbos cause of some bad apples. Igbos are saying their region is underdeveloped cause they are denied federal funding of infrastructure. You can't develop anything without the infrastructure, why else do they choose to build real estate all over the place except their own homeland? (Is it why they are called developers?)
Why judge millions of Igbo based on the bad behavior of a few... They can't be all bad.

Nnedi Okarofor is Igbo, she made a great image for Nigerians with her achievements.
