if you don't mind me asking, I am writing my GRE on Monday. can you share tips that helped you? also, how long dis you use to prepare?

Try not to waste much time on questions you find difficult to answer because the time is not there. The more correct answers you have, the more your score. I will also advice that you go along with something light (preferably apple) you could eat during your break to renew your energy because that test is really enervating. Best of luck!

Bro please how did you apply for expedition ??
Once you have booked an appointment, you will see "emergency request" or something close to that on your dashboard. Click it and fill in your tentative travel date and reason for requesting for an emergency interview date. You should endeavor to upload your I-20, sevis confirmation and appointment confirmation before submitting the application.
You will receive an email stating whether your request is approved or denied. If approved, you will be sent a link that would enable you reschedule to an earlier date.
I hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the information. Please just to confirm, Does the embassy contact the employer to verify the letter?
They will definitely have a way to confirm the authenticity of the document.

No, wasn't required. You will choose your supervisor after you've been admitted. Thank you.

Oh... Okay!
I wouldn't know if it works differently in your field of specialization but it's usually easy to get a graduate admission and funding when you already have a potential supervisor in the school you are applying to.

So does that mean the bond is between me and employer and not my school? And would there be any consequence if I decide not to return? That's for the US embassy/immigration purposes.
Yes, the bond is between you and your employer. It creates the impression that you have a binding ties with your country and that you will be coming back to your job here in Nigeria after your program, which is one of those things the Embassy needs to ascertain.
If you decide not to return, your employer may charge you to court.

Hello Rexmy, does that mean one will have to sign a bond with the school? And please what again should the letter of introduction have?. Thanks.
Yes, you will need to sign a bond. Most times the bond will warrant that you spend equivalent number of years, spent studying, with your employer before you can resign. It could be a study leave with pay or leave of absence without pay.
The letter should have the clause of the bond stated as well as your designation and the benefit(s) of your program after its completion to your employer.

I have another interview next week Thursday 06/12/2019 and this is my prepared transcript. I need ur correction and contribution on it.
Prepared Transcript for Next Visa Interview
Vo: Good morning, your passport and i20 please.
Me: (Obliged) Good morning.
Vo: why are you going to the USA?
Me: I am going to the US to pursue a master degree in mathematical science, *with a specialization in* mathematical modelling at East Tennessee State University Johnson City Tennessee state.
Vo: why this school?
Me: Apart from graduate Teaching assistantship which fully covers the tuition and some of my living expenes, ETSU in a relatively cheap place to live, I would also have the opportunity to work with Prof Ariel Cintron on his research mathematical modelling *of an infectious diseases which would be immensely useful when deployed to tackle some of the numerous health challenges in Nigeria.*

Vo:What did you study at undergraduate level
Me: Mathematics
Vo: when did you graduate?
Me: 20**
Vo: what have you being doing since then?
Me: I went on compulsory one year nysc from May 20**- April 20** where I served at **** school of technology, after which I joined YYY as a mathematics teacher from July 20** - November 20**, I then enrolled at King Fahd University of petroleum and minerals, Saudi Arabia for Master degree in Mathematics in January 2018. But when I got an appointment by my current employer, I had to come back in January 2019 to pick up the appointment as graduate assistant in the department of mathematics Bleep university.
VO: what are your plans after graduation?

*Me: My plan is to come back to University of Lagos resume my work as an assistant lecturer because I am only going to be on study leave, I will also apply the knowledge gained to consult for organizations that work on disease control like World Health organisation(WHO) and Nigeria center for disease control (NCDC).*
*VO: I can see you were denied earlier, what was the reason for the denial?
Me: Yes, I think I was denied because the VO felt I didn't convince him of my purpose of travel and my intended research endeavour.
VO: So what are you going to be working on?

Me: I would be working with Prof Ariel Cintron on Mathematical modelling *of the spread of infectious diseases using Hessian matrix to solve the system of differential equation and analysis the results by using Matlab software.
VO: who's paying for your trip?
Me: My brother
VO: what does he do
Me: He works as Research and strategy analyst at infochain IT solution and also owns a big poutry farm here in Nigeria.
VO: Did you write any stardardised test?
Me: yes, GRE
VO: Are u married
Me: yes with a kid.
VO: Are they coming with you?
Me: No, they wouldn't. She's presently working as well as managing my small business.
I will advice you to get a letter of introduction from your Registrar to support your claim of where you currently work. The letter should confirm your current position and that you will be signing a bond with your school, which will necessitate you to come back after your program in US. Present the letter at all means during your interview, one of the reasons for denial is because they couldn't ascertain your coming back. Good luck!

More details....

Now this is not a personal prediction or whatever, just gave the info as soon as I got it... It could materialise or not.. But dats not on me, so if anyone is saying I shouldn't pass the info becos nobody is 100% sure whether it's true or not, dats the person's business not mine...

. So if you follow my previous posts, I mentioned earlier that my boss here at Seplat Petroleum where I work has a nephew who also applied for GT and is among the hopefuls for this recruitment, so he (has connections to the Towers), that period when the rumour of cancellation got to a boiling point and I rushed to him, I told u all here he immediately put a call through to an immediate past COO who was his close friend who debunked the rumour, now that same time, the former COO sent him (my boss) the contact of a current human resource personnel at the towers and since then, the HR officer (a woman) has been updating him ever since. So this evening she called my boss to inform him that they had a big event today (NNPCQUIZ2019) that attracted huge dignitaries like dangote and governors, and after the event, the GMD had a very brief meeting with the HR and ICT departments and gave them the go ahead to start working on the documents needed to notify the successful candidates.. She also said they would start the process tomorrow Friday and hopefully BTW Monday 25th and 27th depending on the speed of things and how fast they can arrange the documents Because they are working on over a thousand applicants (GT & EH combined) notifications might start being disbursed. To add, My boss asked if she could check if his Nephews name was among,.. She declined saying it would be very risky to do that, that the names are shared amongst various officers, and one officer can only work on the letter of maybe 10 applicants, this way, they can't know everybody.. So that's it... I'm hoping it happens as I have heard this evening... Fingers crossed..
Something good to digest... Thumbs up!

Dear All,
I went to the bank branch, I gave to NNPC for Transport Allowance today to confirm the account that deposited money into my account. They told me it was deposited by an online platform NEFT, I can't see the account number but only the description. I told them reason but they told me not to make any payment to personal account, that NNPC can write to them (Polaris Bank) to do the needfull. They told me specifically that they treated the same case last week. Those staff told if I deposited the money to the person and NNPC later write to them for deduction they will deduct the money from my account.
Nice step you took bro... Thumbs up!

I had suggest you confirm if there's any relationship between the account that paid you and the one you intend to refund.

Anyone with legit clue on when resumption would be can predict when APL would be released, for the recruitment with the other coy I went through, we were told from day one that resumption would be in October, they called successful candidates yesterday (30th September) to come pick up APL physically at their office tomorrow and get ready to resume in exactly 1 week. All the best guys.
