To tell you the trith, I hardly send my CV together with a cover letter unless it was stated on the job placement. And when I write my cover letters I try so much not to sound cliché cos I have noticed most people send thesame cover letters to different job placements. Your best bet when writing a cover letter is to sound as natural as possible, emphasize on your skills and strength as it relates to the job you applied for. Don't repeat information you already have on the CV instead explore them. Be short and precise, use simple english and a good mix of long and short sentences. The major thing in cover letters is; emphasize your strength and skills as it relates to the job. If you can't write it, find somebody who can, don't force youtself to write it only to sound unintelligent.
Another, on your CV, if you know you did not graduate with a 2.1 CGPA, don't emphasize on it, just write second class honours, or second class division, don't go and start putting 2nd class lower division, you will only limit your chances of being given the opportunity to be heard for interviews, tests and so on. . . It will be better they know about your CGPA after the opportunity of an impressive interview or exam score than before it.

Annaïs: you can fill the personal info if you want. You don't have to fill both addresses, one is enough. I am not sure about the CV, passport and the cover letter. Try and see if it would work, if not try and save them separately in word format.

if you are already on the upload page then do the important thing first, upload your CV, the others can come letter. Like I said before, the cover letter is optional it does not diminish or increase your chances of being selected, what they asked you to submit is your CV and not a cover letter or a passport. Do the most important thing first, many people that got called did not submit anything beides their CV.

Let him set-up a centre for people with heart conditions that can't afford surgery or corrective operations. Let them open sustainable skills aquisition centres for young Nigerians that can't afford to get it. Let them have educational endowment funds for their dedicated members in tertiary institutions who can access these funds to help offset some tuition fees and the likes in any Nigerian school and payback when they can. Instead of supporting our collapsing education system through equipment procurements and donation schemes they rather are exploiting the roth by creating their own elitist schools and charging cut-throat feez that could make ivy-leagues jelous. When was the last time Oyedepo visited any of victims of BokoHaram at the hospital or take the billz for their treatment just to show support and solidarity to the christian community. The last time I checked, victims of the Nigerian flood that had to make homes and shelter in an open air camp got huge support from celebrities and even politicians, where were all these so-called wealthy men od God? Group of bible wielding urchins that only care about some white Jesus because he has the potential to even the most intelligent black person into some docile religious person that makes little use of common sense and logic.

Hope49ja: Research what a similar role would pay in a competitive company and suggest a range during the interview, but only if the interviewer insist. This would always be the last resort and can be tricky. I would initially recommend you through the question back to the interviewer in a polite way by saying:

1) As a multinational/large company, I am confident you will pay a package that is competitive, I am completely open to discussing a suitable remuneration at a later stage.
2) If you do not mind, I would appreciate it if we first determine if I am right for the role, before we discuss remuneration as I am very keen on the role and my motivation is not necessarily the package.

Don't ever try going through that line of being more Keen on the Job than the Salary, I tried it with the present company I am working for and I am regretting it, walahi. Most Nigerian employers even the once from foreign firm ask you this question to know if you understand the enormity of the Job you want, the moment you play too nice, they take it as you probably do not have the required experience or skills and need the job to get, next thing is to pay you what they think you should get and not neccessarily what is fair. Effort to negotiate it has been very difficult and I suspect the HRM purposely does not make himself available once he knows I am the one waiting to see him; it is either he gives you another time to see him or claims to be in a meeting.
The best thing to do is to know the industry standard payment for your position and tell them, you will want to be paid based on that, if they ask to know whether you know the industry standard, you tell them. Act like you know your worth. Dont go there telling them you want to work while de-emphasizing the payment. Me presently sef, I want to leave the job and prolly explore banking jobs. . .they pay more and the job is not so physically tasking on like my present job. So use your head o.

Mehn, that Irecruitment site has some bugs in it. Once you are registered, the part where you can submit/upload CV becomes difficult to locate, the site keeps bouncing you back and forth to thesame page. I doubt anyone has been able to submit anything via that site, no need for some folks to dey talk about stuff they have not been able to do themselves, if you have been able to submit or upload your CV on that irecruit site then explain how you did it and stop this random talk of "just upload your cv" like it is that easy to do. Another thing, it is useless trying to do anything on that irecruit using a mobile phone. Just get on your lappy or a desktop and do it....am going to try it again now, I ve already been successfully registered though.
